The player who had to overcome the most adversity, trials, and tribulations, was quite clearly Dean Colt JR.

With an injured leg, fighting through the pain and the misery he was unable to produce much in the way of points in the S38 Playoffs but being able to play sound defensively and work on his faceoffs as the third line was decimated nearly all season and a good chunk of the playoffs by other teams in terms of puck possession off the dot.

Through sheer grit, determination and a lot of whisky between periods, Dean overcame the limitations and found himself improving in all areas, but after a particularly disastrous game against New England, where he won a single faceoff out of sixteen, he knew he'd have to beef up.

Increasing his core strength, as well as practicing his faceoffs, he found himself improving his percentage to above 50% in the final several times.

The slowness to the training and overall projection of his career, has found himself just coming into his own in his fourth season as only slightly better then your average first round rookie.

However, A Cup win has shown that even a small part of the machine is essential to the overall effort, no matter how insignificant it seems at first.

With the hardest part now over, remaining in that contention is the next test.

Task 2)

There is absolutely no doubt in my mind, that Dean Colt JR is the unsung hero. With a point production of 1G and 2A in 20 games, he clearly brought his A game to the table, consider that he only managed 7 Points, 4 goals and 3 assists in 50 regular season games, that he put up near half that in nearly half as many games is seriously remarkable and is very deserving of the Playoff MVP Award.

After all, a player who goes minus 20 over the course of the season only to find himself on the the plus side, with a 5, during the 20 games it matter the most, is probably the most shining example.

Playing a reserved and focused style, taking opportunities only when necessary and working on better passes and less turnover, Colt became an integral, even vital part to the teams efforts.

Only taking six penalties in twenty games, and improving his faceoff percentage, really helped his team in the defensive end, relying on superstar genetics to ensure faceoff dominance.

It seems to have worked perfectly as the rising star, Dean Colt JR, now has a Cup ring.

Both he and his father won in their 4th season, however after sixteen seasons his father hung them up, having never won another.

Will the same future be held for Colt JR, another twelve seasons to make a run at another
