Looking at the Chicago Syndicate, It appears the fall from grace from 10 seasons ago has hit the franchise hard, As of right now the Syndicate are a bottom 4 team in the entire SHL, The good news is this team has some bright spots, The 88 point player in Alexandros Mograine and Sad Ketchup appear to be the two big dogs right now in terms of points in the SHL which is good because despite the lack luster season it shows Chicago can still keep themselves afloat in terms of getting the puck going.Where it gets a bit dicey for the Syndicate is in the defense, 4.81 goals against is not ideal for any team and is gonna need a lot of work.

The prospects for this team are great though, Pique Boo plays for the expansion Ottawa Highlanders and is the #1 center on the team currently, A role that will be filled by Peyton Campeau after Boo leaves for the windy city, A well rounded center who can handle the puck and play some solid D is something that will be welcomed by Chicago going forward as something has to give with the current situation on defense. Max Belcher is a defenseman who will also be very much needed by the Syndicate. From the same class as Pique Boo, Carolina has a very strong D Man in Belcher who when unleashed should be impactful immedietly when they get the call up to the big league. The defense as a whole on this team has a lot of potential as it is a young core that has been drafted generally within the early 70s meaning they have plenty of time to fill out this d core, As long as they can keep earning they can certainly evolve into having some stacked pairs that will annoy the league as much as possible. Goaltender is another position they might want to consider grabbing for the long haul.

If i was the GM i would keep investing in the D and scoop up maybe some more centers, The current roster is a big wing heavy which isnt an issue at the moment but players who can win the faceoff will be needed. Right Wing is the most dominant position on the entire roster which is fine as a lot of centers can play off the wing but the middle presence is still something that should be looked at, I know defense sometimes takes faceoffs too so that could contribute to numbers, Luckily with Pique Boo theyll get that center that they need as mentioned before, Maybe having a offensive D man sitting in the 2nd line or 3rd could be a fun spark to have that can quarterback the puck for the team, Its gonna be a second until this team competes so theyll have time to figure it out and can experiment with lines. Chicago picks multiple times in this years draft so theyll be looking to expand those positons of need that need depth or just bodies in general.
