NHL Can't "Officially" Lock Out The Habs
#1

NHL cant officially lock out the habs because the NHL isnt listed under the Quebec Labor Board.

#NHLPA says #NHL cannot legally lock out #Habs since NHLPA is not a union certified by Quebec Labour Board. #NHLPA says #Habs players can apply to QLB for order preventing #Habs from locking them out on or after Sept 15. On Friday, #Habs players, through a lawyer, sent "cease & desist" order to #Habs & #NHL. #NHLPA says unless #NHL ceases "their threat to lockout", #Habs players will apply this week to QLB to stop #Habs from locking out players.

*NHL can't officially lock out the Habs, not the NHLPA.

But yeah, interesting stuff. Wouldn't be good for the team if they have to pay the players for not playing.

Would be good for the players sure, but not for the team. Molson would have to pay players for doing nothing.

First 82-0 season in history, no? Since every other team will not show up to the games, they must forfeit, right?
