Yesterday we talked about rumors on two EEL young stars, the Sweden Markus Dahlquist and the Montreal home grown, TheGreat Deezy. They both said they only want to play for the Impact and sports talk radios only talk about this since yesterday. everybody knows the Great Deezy here in Montreal but we feel we had to talk about him a little more.

We are not sure if TheGreat Deezy is his real name or if he change it at is 18th birthday. Its quite an unusual name but it fits him well. The young star played all his hockey in Montreal and is well known since he played in the Quebec Internationnal Pee-Wee tournament. Last november, he was selected 3rd overall by the North Wales Royals. He was named Karpotsov assistant captain and realy took his play to another level.Deezy Helped is team go into EEL finals against Verona and he finished second in points leader board with 71 points, tie with Chico Salmon. The best EEL left wing is always at his best during
crucial moments. He is one the best in penalty shots and scored the most winning goal during the season and the playoff. He also cumulate 16 points in 9 games in the playoffs for the points leader first place.

TheGreat Deezy is a awesome two way forward, keeping is +/- at +4 during the season and the playoffs. He is fast, fearless and in great shape. He gave a lots of hits, took a lot of hits and blocked many shots. He played top minutes working on first line, PK and PP. Deezy took a lot of penalty minutes during the season but he is a emotive and intense player. He also take a lot of chances and like to skate the puck, thats probably the reason he had so many giveaways.

SHL scouts are crasy about this guy but it seems he want to have is carreer in Europe. Having the chance to play in is home town is something he don't want to miss though. Lets hope is dream come true because he would be a great asset for the Impact and he would defenitly sell tickets. Many NWJHL general managers have their eyes on him though and experts agree to say that the chances are small. Well lets see what happen tomorow at the NWJHL season 7 draft.
