Contract money is great, it really is. However, I'm a greedy man and I want more money coming my way. Fortunately, I've found an avenue to bring a ton of money my way.

Living and playing in Edmonton has its perks, but there's something missing that I'm going to bring to the citizens. Edmonton is severely lacking in a quality restaurant that serves authentic middle eastern cuisine. Lucky for them, I just happen to be of Lebanese descent. Not only do we have some of the best food on the planet, but my mom has recipes of the best dishes that I'm going to bring to Edmonton.

I'm going to hire a crew that is going to be able to replicate my mother's recipes. We're going to have fresh pita, hummus, rice, fatooush, kafta, shish kabob, various kinds of skewered meats, tons of veggie options like falaffel, and our signature dish. Every sunday, we're going to serve a stuffed grape leaves. It's my absolute favourite meal and something that I know the city is going to fall in love with. Inside the restaurant, I'm going to have Blizzard memorabilia, signed pictures and equipment. We're also going to have glasses with the Blizzard logo on it. As a supporter of the Blizzard, you're going to want to come and check out all the cool stuff we have. So get ready Edmonton, because Hercules is bringing a little Lebanon to you.

Phelps has always been a bit of a self made man. He didn't come from money and had some struggles early in life because of it. So when his hockey career started getting hot and he started making good money, he started buying properties around Hamilton and became a landlord for 5 condos and 2 houses. It's not much but it's a great start. Phelps being out of town a lot meant he had to hire a property manager, which cuts into the money he's making on the investment, but he believes he will be able to turn this into a great income source for when his career ends. It isn't hockey related at all, but business is business. Phelps expects to own upward of 20 properties by the time he retires. Managing those properties will probably become his full time job after his retirement.

Daniel has long been an advocate of the health benefits of cannabinoids and so this was a natural step for him to take, establishing the first retail store of "Karl's Kush" in downtown LA. As someone who has been rumoured to enjoy partaking in the devil's lettuce following a tough hockey game, the move to enter a business in which he held great passion has been reflected in the enthusiasm Karlsson has for his brand, and the work he has put in to help it be successful. It isn't always easy to manage it whilst dealing with all the commitments of his full time career, but the team he has in place have been a big help in making it a success.

Daniel best watch out or he might get the reefer madness

Tor Tuck actually started his business prior to his career in the Simulation Hockey League and has just used his increased earnings and salary from being a professional athlete to increase the profits and efficiencies of his business. Tuck has his own pickling company that he runs in a warehouse on the south side of Edmonton, near the Blizzard practice stadium.

Now obviously his top sellers are regular old pickles and he has used his pull with the Blizzard to sell full sour and half sour pickles as a stadium food in Edmonton for a very reasonable $17. However, he has been working on creating his own sauerkraut, pickled eggs, onions, beets, garlic, okra, crab, and even kimchi. Now, Tor does not have an official retail location but he does have customers that regularly show up at the warehouse and if Tor is around he will allow them to make purchases to increase local availability. However, the vast majority of the sales Tor and his pickle business make are online, and visit TasteTucksPickle.com

Tigole’s has already been well established as a bar and nightclub scene in downtown Edmonton for a few seasons now, so Tigole Bitties decided he’s going to start his own app called Beerlivery. Beerlivery is an iOS and Android app that’s essentially a delivery service where you can order all sorts of craft beer and have it delivered to your home, business or apartment. This is different than most of the other offerings because Beerlivery focuses on experimentation and trying new beers rather than ordering what you know in bulk. Beerlivery will also feature local celebrities delivering beer in their respective cities, and Tigole Bitties, a newer star in the SHL, will be kickstarting those celebrity deliveries in Edmonton to start with. Beerlivery plans to branch out to rare high end spirits and fine vintages of wine in certain markets. Download the app today, and enjoy a brew that’s new to you!

Growing up Brady McIntyre not only played ice hockey, but he believes that a big part of his development when it comes to his hands and offensive instincts can be attributed to the summer inline hockey league that he played in each year. With inline hockey interest falling in his home region of West Michigan, Brady has decided to build a new rink in the area that he grew up in to help grow the game and hopefully help players either go on to play in the NCRHA in colelge or give kids a chance to play hockey during the summer at a cheaper price than ice hockey. He runs the rink in the summers and coaches teams during NARCh, TORHS and State Wars tournament weekends. His goals for the rink are mostly to create an increase in the number of inline hockey players in the area and as long as the rink stays out the red monetarily then he'll deem it a success. Eventually he would like the rink be a profitable venture with the monetary gains going various local charities. The first open learn to skate session was offered to all ages this past Saturday was a hit. Signups for a tentative youth league open up on August 5th, as well as an adult league.

If Oisin Fletcher would start a business, it would be an outdoor equipment store. Stuff like tents, sleeping bag, bear canister, trekking pole, kayak, bags, jacket … you see the picture. It is not necessary going to focus on sports but more on the outdoor in generals, so you will not find a lot of equipment for specific sports. It would start as a small store in his hometown in Quebec City. It is not going to start in New England due to the fact that he does not consider the city to be as interested with the outdoor than a more open region like Quebec City can be. Once the first store running, he would probably consider opening more in Montreal and Halifax where he has made his name playing for the Raiders. I can totally see the store offering guided tour as well in the area or more expensive tours abroad with experimented guides. Fletcher would work on those guided tour during a part of the summer.

As you probably know, opening in Manhattan can be quite the endeavor. With such a big populace comes fierce competition, and new stores have been known to go out of business so quickly people forget they even existed. Now that he is in his second season in the SHL, Reginald Rove's agent has decided it is time for his client to diversify his business, so that he can have something to keep him going after his hockey career is over. Rove initially wanted to open a sporting goods store, but those are a dime a dozen in NYC, so his agent pushed him to think of something different. That's when he came up with his idea, SlapShot SportsZone. The Zone (as its known) combines two things Rove loves, Bounce castles and sports. There are numerous high flying activities both adults and children alike can have the time of their life doing. The way this place differs from BounceU or SkyZone is that it has a few rinks, basketball courts, and batting cages. The Zone has experts on staff to help instruct and perfect anyone's game, from a beginner to an expert. Some days Rove has even been known to come in and teach a session, keeping the buzz around the place going. While it is still early to give any meaningful long term projections, it seems Rove may have founded a business that will keep his career going long past hockey.

I guess most of you don’t know about it but Bobby Watson has already a little outdoor activity shop in Australia specialised in survival gear. As he already said in a past interview, Bobby goes training in the harsh desertic conditions of inland Australia between SHL seasons. Since he made some millions dollars playing hockey, he needed a base of operation to start his hellish training. This is how Bobby’s Survival Shop was born. This business sells camping gears, compass, knives, water bottles and goalers pads (nobody bought those pads … since ever)

When he plays hockey in Toronto during winter, his cousin Joey Watson manage the store. He doesn’t do much but he keeps finding new weird stuff that helps Bobby push his training every year. It doesn’t do a lot of money, being built far from any kind of city. However, Bobby thinks that if he can win the cup one year with Toronto, this will help the little business a lot by increasing the popularity of the little domain.

Esa Anrikkanen is widely known around the league as the Parm King. So naturally he has opened a chain of Italian Restaurants around the country. They are called "Esa's House of Parm" and they originally started with a couple locations in Calgary but now have 10 locations in large markets in both the US and Canada. The eatery features recipes made with cheese and tomato sauce, but also have other options. The most popular items are obviously chicken parm, eggplant parm, meatball parm and sausage & peppers parm, these can all be served as a sandwich or as a meal. Pasta is obviously available with all items and against Esa's will they also serves salads. There's a small Italian menu featuring items like Baked ziti, spaghetti and meatballs, Penne a la vodka to name a few. High end bread is shipped in over night from Arthur Avenue in New York as well. The restaurant chain features pictures of Esa and other famous Dragon players throughout the establishment, there's a great hockey theme. There's also a kids area with games like pin the cheese on the parm and a ball bit of fake meatballs. The franchise sells t-shirts with Esa's likeness in size youth husky to 5XL. It's a fun place to eat, great food and good atmosphere.

While sport, and particularly hockey, has always been the primary passion of Fredrich Koenig, the German international is a man of many interests, of diverse tastes. It is for that reason that, through the use of his recent contract extension, he has opened a new business - one that falls in line with his other love. Food and cooking.

Opening soon in the heart of downtown Buffalo is Koenig Meatery, a butcher shop and eatery specializing in those glorious German flavours. At the core of the menu, of course, is Koenig's own specialty: various types of German sausages, with recipes passed down through his family line. Whether it be bratwurst, blutwurst, knackwurst, or the landjäger, the Koenig Meatery will have it all, whether it be for Germans looking for a taste of home, or others looking for a bite of something new.

Koenig himself will make appearances, mainly throughout the summer off-season, preparing and serving some of the food and perhaps even signing autographs to bring in some foot traffic on the streets of Buffalo. With a modern storefront drawing from German tradition, it's sure to become a new favourite spot.

Anders Christiansen has decided to launch himself in a new business venture to help support his life once his SHL career will be over. With his associates, two of his best friend, Jasper and Arjen, while he grew up, Christiansen has launch an outdoor activity business in his hometown of Bergen in Norway. The business is quite simple and mostly gather to tourists who are visiting this beautiful region, but it provides discount for local resident who wants to use the business services. The store rent kayak and canoe. They also organised guided kayak and walking tour. They also have helicopter tour, parachute, both launching from mountain tops and from the air. The business also provide information free of charge about navigating the outdoors of the surrounding area. However, the most popular activity organised by the business are the daily hike group that are organised during the summer in which everyone who wants to can join the group on a hike on one of the nearby mountains.
