SHL feels that its incentive system can use a twist. Right now, it is primarily based on activity, performances and luck. So someone from HO contacted me and asked me if i could come up with something that benefits the less active, bad performing and unlucky players. No idea why they picked me, but Gordie is always happy to help out.

So i hereby announce a new way to earn some money: Gordie's Great Quest

This quest is eligible for any SHL or senddown player


Gordie's Great Quest consists of 6 (possibly 7) subquests:

• Individual performance: (skater) Score zero points and a plusminus -3 in one game | (goalie) Get ejected from the game during the 1st period *
  
• Team performance: Get your team on a 5 game losing streak *
  
• Fantasy: Finish 5,6,7 or 8 in your fantasy group (participation required)
  
• Mock Draft: Correctly predict 3 or fewer picks in a SHL Draft (participation required)
  
• 3 on 3 showdown: Wrongly predict three 3 on 3 showdowns in a row (participation required)
  
• Awards prediction: Correctly predict 1 or fewer player awards (participation required)

* Only SHL/SMJHL pre-season and regular season matches count. Team streaks reset after end of preseason/regular season


Rewards structure:

• First player to unlock all quests receives 30% of the media income + 50% of sponsorships **
  
• Second player to unlock all quests receives 20% of the media income + 33,3% of sponsorships **
  
• Third player to unlock all quests receives 10% of the media income + 16,7% of sponsorships **
  
• 40% of the media income goes to Gordie (who is not eligible for the quest)
