Hard Knocks List:
**1. Winnipeg Jets 2. Manhattan Rage 3. Chicago Syndicate 4. Edmonton Blizzard 5. Hamilton Steelhawks #1 Team Explanation: Among the big surprises of S48 have been the Winnipeg Jets, a team that is dazzlingly young. Only three of their active players were from before the S40s, so this is a team that is growing. Seeing a snapshot of the future stars of the league would be ideal for viewers and getting to know them personally could help them build some league wise recognition. There’s certainly some high picks to showcase like second overall Ola Wagstrom, who just signed an extension and will be trying to claw his way onto line 1, and first overall Jax Duggan, who will be competing to make the roster out of camp next year but could go down to juniors for another year. Many of their prospects have record breaking work ethic, which it will be excellent to showcase their regiments; Ola Wagstrom and Michael Scarn @Trautner are both leading their draft classes in TPE count. Of course it’s not just the youngsters; Jason Visser @ToeDragon84 is the all time TPE record holder, and in spite of a nearly 20 year career, he still manages to be one of the top players in the league. It would be interesting to see how such a seasoned veteran mentors young players and handles his captaincy responsibilities, as well as the steps he is taking to battle regression. Gary Grease @FlappyGiraffe will also be interesting to follow as he is just about to head into the regression phase of his career, and will need to work hard to remain a top defenseman as he ages. And lastly, it will be interesting to watch the emotional send off of Crossfit Jesus @CFJ, who has announced his intentions to retire but has gone out with a bang. Jesus has been an important player for the Jets throughout his career, so there should be some inspirational ceremonies at preseason games.
