A Night to Remember
#1

The Off-season came for some of the Czechs since they were knocked out of the playoffs early. Some of these players were David Vent, Andrej Doskocil, DeMarcious Smyth, and Brady McIntrye. These group of talented but unlucky players decided to meet up in the big apple and hang out with each other to catch up on all the stuff that happened over the season.  Joining group was the new Czech prospects that were going to be drafted in this upcoming. Right Winger Sasha Dangelchek, Defensemen Jakob Hamr, Left Winger Aron Hernadivic, Defensemen Mikas Bieksa. As the large group went out, they first went and got some dinner together.

The crew picked to go to the Eleven Madison Park. It was a very fancy place, but the guys thought they deserved to treat themselves.  As the group sat down small conversation began to form around the dinner table about random topics. Doskocil and Dangelchek began to talk about World War 2 history and tactics that were used by both forces. Honestly, have no idea how that conversation started. Smyth and Hamr began to discuss music and different bands that they liked growing up and the ones they like now. It seemed like the two were going to plan a trip to a concert together! McIntrye began to try to teach Bieksa some English to be able to use while playing in America. It was going as well as you expected. Vent started to give Hernadivic some tips on moving to America. Maybe Vent did learn something with his time in America. As the food came and went the conversations around the table never died down. All the Czechs were getting along and getting to know each other very well.

As dinner came to an end the group did not want to disperse yet so they diced to walk around and see what they could find to do.  The group came across a strip club and decided maybe not to have an incident like the last time they went to a strip club. They swear nothing happened. The group was still in high spirits as they lumbered down the sidewalks. Some fans were able to recognize the crew and asked for autographs and pictures with their favorite players. Even some of the prospects were getting some love since their names have come up on the television due to the draft coming. As the group went more and more into the city, they were able to find a dance club and after some persuasion by Vent, Smyth, Hamr, and Hernadivic, the group went into the club.

The music was blasting that they could feel it in their chest. They had no problem getting into the club because the bouncers were hockey fans! Convenient right? The group ended up splitting up going different spots in the club. Smyth, Vent, and Hamr headed onto the dance floor and began to break a sweat with all the other dancers. McIntrye, Bieska, and Hernadivic went to the bar to order some drinks for the rest of the group. Doskocil and Hernadivic went to grab a table wherever they could. They never became a blur for some of the players as drinks and music flowed through them.  The group began to become a little rowdy and got aggressive with some of the other guys in the club. Some trash talk began to spill out between the two parties and testosterone levels began to skyrocket. A punch was thrown, and the group swears they did not do it. It was Vent. The two parties went into attack mode. Smyth, Vent, Doskocil, and McIntrye were doing most of the fighting. The prospects were either trying to break up the fight or get some of their own punches in the mix. The bouncers came and broke up the fight and nobody was seriously hurt. Only some bruising and bloody lips. The Czech group was escorted out and they went away from the club as soon as they could.

The group walked around the street a little bit to cool off. Thankfully it didn’t seem like any news channels have caught wind of the fight, but they still needed to be careful. As the group calmed down and assessed their injuries the group called it for the night. Smyth, McIntrye, and Bieksa hauled down a taxi and headed to the hotel they were all staying in. Doskocil lived in Manhattan due to being on the team and had to go get his car and was going to drive Hernadivic to his apartment he was currently sharing with a few other prospects being drafted from other nations. Vent was going to be taking Hamr and Danglechek back to his house with him since they were going to living with him during the time of the draft.

As the trio got into the car, they sat there for a little bit to collect themselves when Vent burst out laughing. This caused Danglechek to laugh which after a little caused Hamr to burst out with giggles. The night had taken a very sharp turn that nobody was expecting form the start. But would these guys take back the night they just had? Hell, no that was probably one of the most fun nights the guys had in a while together. So, as Vent, Hamr, and Danglechek arrived at Vent’s house and headed to their sleeping quarters they all went to their beds with smiles. All the Czechs involved hoped none of this made it to the media but if it did? Who cares they had a blast and bonded together as teammates? The new prospects felt like they were accepted into the circle of the national team. All the conversations that were had helped them feel welcomed and wanted in the team.

As the group fell asleep one lone person was still awake. Typing on their computer with pictures from the brawl. Who was this mysterious person and why did they have these characters damaging pictures? Well, all that was know was they had an Austria flag hanging in their room.
