And, of course, we have one final award to announce tonight.

For this one, I've been asked to read the following prepared statement on behalf of Buster, the head of the awards committee:
Wooo Argar.

From the Office of the SHL Awards Committee,

Thank you for viewing the wonderful awards show presented by Eggy and congratulations to the winners. Now that all the main awards are given out, we are extremely proud to finally unveil the new SHL award.

Through my time as both a voter and head of the awards committee, one thing has always frustrated me. Each year, the most dedicated award would typically go to the same small group of people. The first thing I wanted to do as head of the awards committee was to find a way to help that problem. How did we decide to go about that? We decided to create a whole new award!

I'd like to present the first ever SHL Lifetime Achievement award. This award will be given to a member who has shown excellence throughout his entire SHL career and has in some way made an extremely positive influence on the community. This award will only be given once during a member's time and may not be given every season.

Now for the winner. SHL is a place that has many top jobs that have high turnover due to their workload. Commishs and GMs in both the SHL and SMJHL have very high turnover rates. One job that should have the same high turnover rate is the job of the simmer. They have to create a file, input update and lines and given a set amount of time every single day to make sure that the SHL can run smoothly. This is a ridiculous amount of work for one league and one person, but running two leagues seems impossible.

I had a whole plan to write about the winner, but I don't think I need to write much more because we all know the impact this person has had. Without further adieu, the winner of the first every Vidrik Onopirenko Lifetime Achievement Award is:

JACKCROSS!!!!
Jack, on behalf of myself and the entirety of the SHL, thank you for everything you've done for this league. It's hard to imagine a league where you're not the one whose post we await each and every day, and we can't say enough how much your work has meant to us. Hopefully you find some time for fun and aren't stuck using all this new-found time for work you actually get paid for.

Best of luck with life beyond, Jack.

Congratulations to Vidrik Onoprienko, the league's first ever winner of the newly-mined Vidrik Onoprienko Lifetime Achievement Award!

Shl
Wooooo Jackie boy.
I'm so glad to finally get that out to the public. Congrats to one of the absolute best SHL members!
=D> Jack
Grats ArGar! Chiefs
Thank you to everyone for coming out to the Awards Show tonight! I've had a wonderful time hosting, and I hope you all enjoyed being a part of this experience as much as I did!

Congratulations to all the winners, and especially congratulations and heartfelt thanks to Jack for all he's done for this league!
