It's been fun as my last year as a timber. It's been really fun I hope that my experience as a dragon is the same as my experience here. I want people to want to have me as a good goalie I don't want to be hated. We are doing g awesome and we can do better as of late in the playoffs and I want to win as we get closer to my end as Maine goalie. I want Nothing more than to make an impact with this team I want to go on to dragons and give them hope as well I want to think that we are great and amazing team and I want to win as much as we can. I want to encourage winning wins here and nothing else here and I hope that I have grown as a player and a teammate as the years went by and hope that I enspired goalies like myself and I hope more wins come to this franchise.

player prompt

Coming off the worst season during the modern era (28 points in 66 games) a season prior, few were sure what to expect of M’Baku Olubori and the Baltimore Platoon in S70. He followed up a Jesster Award winning season in S68 with much the same scoring numbers. As S70 opened, Olubori was the team’s first line center after training camp. With 4 rookies in the lineup, Baltimore was much improved, nearly doubling their points on the season (54) and drastically improved their goal differential (from -151 to -81). Individually, Olubori led the team in goals with a new career high (35) and was second in points (71, also a career high). While he shifted back to the wing late in the season, Olubori established himself as a major part of the new look Platoon.

The team entered their first round playoff series with the Atlanta Inferno with few expectations—when they last faced off in the first round in S68, Baltimore lost 4-1. Surprising everyone across the league, Baltimore took a commanding 3-0 series lead on the division rival, with starting goalie Sir Devoir playing out of his mind. Unfortunately, the carriage turned back into a pumpkin as the Inferno went on to win a decisive Game 7 to move on. While that’s not a great way to end things, Olubori and the team feel good about the season. With another crew of rookies ready to join the team next season, we’re hopeful that the worst times are behind us.

Well, the season was ok. I mean, I broke career records in goals, assists, and points. Despite being in regression. Granted, that 9% is not a big bite in the ass, but it is still a significant piece of my stats gone. And with life being in the way and me not being able to update every week, the fact that I did THAT great meant I overperformed, based on what I expected and what I had seen from my player. On the flipside, not making it past Chicago in the first round of the playoffs sucks. It is not the first time we do not manage to make it out of the first round, but it still sucks we cannot even contend for the cup like we were supposed to do. It was a rollercoaster of a season that ended sour. I digress, next season is supposed to be better. Or so they say, I do not really know at this point.

As a matter of fact, Jeffie is not going to be a gm with us next season. They say that he left amicably, but we all know that Luke told him to pack it up and go after his issues all season. Way to show him who's boss Luke!

Now we are looking for a new co. I posted some requirements in the thread and have had a single person respond favorably so you know who I am voting for. unfortunately Luke does not listen to me so I am not sure if he is going to agree. Though whomever gets hired should already know that all blame will get passed to them just like Jeffie (even if it may not really be their fault) and no praise will come their direction. It is the nature of GM'ing and hopefully they are up for the task. Time will tell and I am not holding my breath.

This was a season of many ups and downs for Atticus Hale. Though most players would call a season in which they score 30 goals and have 80 assist, amassing 80 points, a success, Atticus was disappointed by the outcome. It could have been worse though.

After season 69 where Atticus was on pass for 100 point until the last 10 games of the season, he expected more of the same in season 70. Patya Perevalov and Giannis Kroustis were on career best paces for most of the season and Atticus couldn't help but feel like the weak link. They were all able to put it together toward the end of the season however. Hale picked up his pace and they went into the playoffs on a nice run. He even led the playoffs in goals before the Specters were knocked out in 7 games. Regression is going to hit pretty hard in season 71 so time will tell if this is truly Hale's peak seasons.

Written Task: Tell me about how your season went. Did you exceed expectations? Is regression starting to bite? Did you set a new career high? Did your team do better or worse? How did you factor there? What are your hopes for the playoffs - this year or next? (150+ words)

this season represents paul koivu's last season before he starts regression, so this would be his peak, the season where he is at his best. And that did show well in his stats, he's had his best season in his career, hitting the 100 points mark, and even going over it. As a team, I personally would have expected the new england wolfpack to do a little better than what we actually did, but ultimately it does not really matter as we really only needed to make the playoffs, and at best we were going to be first in our division beating montreal which was unlikely, or going second, just like we did. The other teams were not really a threat to our second position, so that is what we got, beating montreal would have been really hard. For playoffs, getting to the challenge cup finals would be really cool, but we have very tough opponents on our way, including montreal and philly, so i would not count on it.

Wow I cannot believe that the 2nd season for Nibbles is already in the books. It seems like just yesterday he was being created and winning a championship with Maine. So far his second season has been a huge success and there has not been much to complain about. He was able to avoid a sophomore slump and gather nearly the same amount of points that he had his rookie season. He was also able to help his team to the best record that they have ever had in not only franchise history but in shl history as well. The rest of the season is all going to depend on how well the team does in playoffs and if the Forge can defend their title. Nibbles played a key role last season in bringing the cup victory to the team so as long as he can have another solid round of playoffs this season he will be very happy.

Nevek Kove had an excellent season per my criteria. While he was definitively not the highest scoring defenseman of the team, by far, he was definitively the most responsible on the ice. He scored 4 goals and had 22 assists, for 26 points. one of the most impressive stats is the fact that he managed to stay only -8 in +/- in the team while playing over 20 minutes a night. He also lead the team with 268 shot blocked as a rookie and awarded 69 hits in the season. His GA/TA ratio is impressive with only 13 giveaways for 46 takeaways. He spent most of his team in the penalty kill team. For me, Nevek Kove is doing the job i was aiming him to play, aka blocking a lot of shots and helping the goaltender. The next step will be to improve the number of hits he give out to become a powerhouse of a defensive defenseman.

RE: S70 PT #5: The Grand Finale - Flowseidon - 04-30-2023

This season was a bit of a change fore, I had gotten traded beforehand so I had to adjust with a new squad, new rink, new city and new everything. With all of that, it was still a pretty successful season.

In terms of personal production, it was my second highest producing season, which feels good considering all the changes that were made. I figure the settling period is done now, so providing I'm back next year things will be more comfortable and set to improve even more.

As a team, we came 2nd in our division which I'm happy with. We're growing together a bit as a team, and it's important that we take the successes and lessons from this year and continue to build on it to make ourselves into some contenders

All in all, I'm very happy with how my first season in Calgary has gone

RE: S70 PT #5: The Grand Finale - marco999 - 04-30-2023

Kaapo Kampainen had a great all-around season and so did the Winnipeg Aurora. Kaapo has been an excellent goal scorer this season, which isn't what he was earlier in his career. It is impressive what he is able to do deep into regression, even more when you factor that he is doing all this with practically zero power play time, which means he does everything on even strength. I know that most of this is due to the team and the roster built by the Aurora management team that do such a great job. As Kaapo's career is winding down, he'll be thinking about his future once his current contract expires, even Kaapo doesn't know what is in store for him. As for the Aurora, after finishing the season on top of the Western Conference yet again, they're expecting to win the championship this season before their window closes. Hopefully Kaapo will finally win one after such a long, uneventful time in the league.

RE: S70 PT #5: The Grand Finale - Atox - 04-30-2023

To start I became a second fucking goalie on the ice and ended the regular season holding the career record for shots blocked in the SMJHL at 781.  This took 236 shots blocked, that ranks 6th highest in a single season and beat my previous personal best by over 49 blocks.  I see it as a capstone to my time in Detroit along with our 4 Star Cup in Season 68.

For the Falcons ourselves, we had regression as our top center BNana N’Waffles was called up to the SHL along with other TPE rich pieces.  This resulted in us missing out on a bye which wasn’t the case in S68 and S69 when we made the Cup Finals both seasons.  We were able to win over Quebec in the 1st Round but being taken to 7 games by a 19 win team was disheartening.  The New Foundland series was a disaster with a 9-2 loss in Game 3 and us losing in 5.  I wished for a much less anticlimactic ending to my tenure in Detroit but I wouldn’t trade it for anything sim related

Player prompt

This was Sea jebus last season with the Kelowna Knights. Had a bit of hope to make it further in the playoffs this season but we lost game 7 in the first round of the playoffs. Although that hurt a bit it was a pretty good last season before heading to the big league for sea jebus. Welcomed some new players just joining the Knights and splitting goal with Tibs was a beautiful pairing as they are great buds. Sad to say goodbye to the whole team as there are a few send ups to the SHl together. The whole team really stood behind jebus through his seasons playing for the Knights. From rookie to pro jebus grew each season to be the best he could be. Learning so much from the whole training, coaching staff, management and veteran players through the years. Sea couldn't of developed like he did without all of those pieces of the puzzle. The Knights were the beat thing to happen for Sea jebus career.
