Jesus Murphy learned from his rich family history of SHL stardom that it is critical to take care of the community that supports you. Murphy is big on social media, interacting with fans regularly and getting everyone hyped on the upcoming season, and in particular the home opener. The first game of the season can be a major tone setter, especially for a young team looking to make a statement that it has arrived on the competitive scene. Murphy has carried forward his father's annual tradition of using his home game ticket allotment as well as purchasing additional box seats from the team to provide them to various children's charities, so that sick and low income kids and their families could enjoy a game together and have an experience they would not typically be able to make happen. By ensuring that he contributes to the community feeling like a part of the Argonauts family, he feels that he helps to ensure the excitement and buzz around the city that the most loyal fanbases can create.

Sunrise sees a home opener as just another game, although ever so slightly more important due to the sentimental aspect. He does, of course, stick around for autographs and all sorts of stuff since the fans would probably like it and he would not mind giving them that since it is far easier to do than, say, actually winning a match.

Personally, I feel like the franchise folks are the ones who should care more about it than the players themselves. Make it more accessible for fans to show up, maybe have a promotion or two, that sort of stuff. Like yeah, it would be great if the team won but I think fans would be pretty pleased if they had a fun time along with the result. Or, in the off-chance the team sucks, just have a plain good fun time so that they will not go home empty handed, you know.

Written Option 2:

I just captain of the Toronto North stars Brooklyn fist is privy to and a part of all of the team meetings that go into planning how they’re going to go about making each season‘s home opener special. Each of these are unique and being at the forefront makes Each one exciting for her to be a part of setting the scene for the city and for its fans and for teammates and being able to brainstorm, all of that is yet another fun perk for her. where this gets into that she has the opportunity to do things such as picking a charity or foundation or kids team or group to bring out some of this may sound like stuff, but part of it being standard is that it’s so ubiquitous. It just happens all the time other things have been carefully controlled, newer fireworks that are way less dangerous than your traditional gunpowder spectacles were allowing the mascot to take charge.

Cormier doesn't really believe in changing up his routine even for the home opener. Of course he will do the planned ceremony with the individual player entrances where everyone stands around center ice, but otherwise, he's a creature of habit and in order to be at his best he really needs to keep to his superstitions and routine as much as possible. Its worked for him at every level of hockey so far so why stop now. But that's not entirely bad news for the fans because Cormier normally tries to interact with fans a decent amount anyways, especially in warmups. He also liked to give away his stick when he gets one of the three stars of the game. While he doesn't really sign any autographs at the home opener, or during the season at all really, Cormier participates in team events over the summer throughout the community where you can find him and get anything you'd like signed.

Option 2:

In order to make opening night special, Wizard likes to hold a show for fans and make the start of the season a spectacle than more of a game. His goal is to make it a fast paced environment with quick puck movement and hard to read motions as if they were at a magic show so that the audience will be guessing at every turn when Wizard is at the head of the attack. Honestly, the main thing that he wants to ensure the fans are able to enjoy in the game is suspense he will occasionally forget how to play defense during said opening game to make things a bit more interesting throughout. Wizard does give it 100% effort during these opener games but he gives it a tad less on defense more so like 90% but don't tell the front office that! He does do a special celebration however involving some misdirection and a little bit of a smokescreen to get the audience pumped.

I would definitely go if I got invited to participate, I'd love to represent the SHL and even more so the Baltimore Platoon. I feel like I would do very well in most of the events, hockey and soccer have similar rules and tactics so I feel I'd be good there and I love the physicality of football. I think the sport I'd have the hardest time in is baseball. There are some similarities between hockey and baseball but I think hitting a baseball going 90 to 100 mph is extremely hard to do if your going up against pros and your not. That being said I think hockey would be the hardest game for other sports to transition to due to having to wear skates and play on ice. The hockey events would probably have to be field hockey or maybe on rollerblades. As for teammates I think you'd have to go with the freak athletes or athletes that have experience with other sports at the collegiate or high school level.

Option 1
Aksel made some friends with the Finnish players during an offseason one time while some of the Nordic players were hanging out. They introduced him to pesäpallo and he became a huge fan. He tries to get out to Finland a few times during the offseason and plays a few pickup games. He's pretty good in the field and better at bat, tracking the ball and making contact is easier than shooting a puck and he can usually send it pretty far. He has fallen into the creeks beside the fields before, and he's also absolutely eaten shit when running the bases. He totally agrees with its creator that it's more fun than baseball, and during the show he excels when they bring up minor other sports like pesäpallo. He does alright in baseball for the same reasons, but still hasn't figured out football so he sucks at that and mainly stays on the bench and eats all the snacks that have been put out.

I think that there should be a lot of events, basically we should go through the entire Olympics circuit of sports and play with our characters. I think my guy would do well because he is big and strong and awesome. In fact he is so cool and awesome that it makes all the other characters look lame. Especially any speed things my guy would cook since 3WW Wingmate Roc is a Roc and has a truly impressive wingspan and aerial speed. Imagine doing a 100m sprint and a bird zooms through. I think that this is a bad idea for all these land bound creatures, but there is a notable flaw for Wingmate Roc for any of the swimming programs that we may have to do.

If I can recuse myself from that stuff, I think we can expect Wingmate Roc to win as medals as there are. I think I would crush it all and man, my guy is just friggin the best .

Prompt 2 - 160 words

Trevor does everything for the fans, and he’s said this time and time again, if it wasn’t for them, he wouldn’t be here! So when it comes time for the home game in Hamilton, he goes all out, he really want the fans to know that he appreciates their support and wants to show them he’s willing to do whatever it takes to bring home the cup! After the steelhawks win the game, Trevor stays around to hand out autographed pucks to any fan that wants them, and he doesn’t leave until all the fan are gone, if they are willing to show up for him, he makes damn sure he’s there for them. It’s not a huge thing but it’s the small things that matter, it’s one of the many ways he can show how much they mean to him, after all the spend their hard earned money to come and watch him, it’s the least he can do.

Jeremy would work hard to make sure that opening night was as special as it could be for as many fans as possible of the San Diego Tidal. Spending time before the game He would meet with some fans and take pictures, and then after warm ups, he would make sure to give the fans some sticks and merch. During the game, whenever Jeremy would make a good play, he would always try to find and point out to a fan and give them some love from the ice. Even if this meant that he had to spit out whatever was in his pocket dimension, he would make sure to make the fan feel appreciated and as though that play was for them. After the game, Jeremy would take the time to spend with fans signing as many autographs as he could on his way out of the stadium. Ultimately, it would take a lot of restraint, because Jeremy would want to continue to let his tentacles bring the fans and their items into his mouth and pocket dimension.

Option 2:

Opening day is important every season, it sets the first impressions for the fans on how the season is going to go. I always give 110% open day to give the people what they want, hopefully a win. I'll start warmups by give some kids a pick and signing a few jerseys. During the game, I'll be giving a lot of big hits and hopefully big goals. Feeding off the crowd is one of my favorite things about the game and it makes home games that much more fun. More importantly with the goals I'm going to score, I'm going to really ham up the celebration. We're talking screaming, leg kicks, everything. Give the people what they want. After the game I'll stick around and sign autographs for all the fans, give them what they paid for. Hopefully a win in game 1 will show catapult the team to a cup and show the fans that the team is ready to fight.

RE: S80 PT #1: The Greatest Show On Earth - Stamkos Is My Dad - 12-22-2024

Prompt 2:

The home opener is merely days away and the Anchorage fan base are getting fired up. This is going to be Zeus Storm's final season in the SMJHL and he wants to make it a memorable one not only for his individual accolades or potentially winning a SMJHL Cup but one for the fans as a final goodbye. Leading up to the home opener the Armada throw a fan fest for the fans to meet and greet their favorite Armada player and Zeus made sure to take plenty of time to chat with every single person in line and sign anything they wanted signed. There truly isn't a bond like a bond between fan and favorite player so Zeus tries to make each one memorable and not take his position as someone's favorite player lightly. Being this is the final season with Armada, Zeus also took time in pre-skate warm ups for the opener to toss as many pucks to the fans as he could before getting yelled at for giving away too many pucks. Zeus really made a lot of memories for his fans.

RE: S80 PT #1: The Greatest Show On Earth - Tesla - 12-22-2024

Written Option 1

Agent Tesla: Allow me to handle this in a way that only I as a metafictional major power can. Of course Dave Heinrich joined in on the fun as I made sure that all of my represented individuals joined in because three of those are sports where I have represented a star player. Now unfortunately Dave did not do all that well as his talents are far more hyper focused than the other players involved and especially more so than the other players I brought to the event. Well the full list of athletes would take far too long to list, but I did bring my recent pitching prospect PK-VS and my superstar center fielder and free safety Cross-Eriksen to the event to compete as well.

So funnily enough here in terms of the events Dave did best at hockey in terms of his performance relative to his performance, but was beaten out by Cross-Eriksen given her superior athleticism and PK-VS who was using chainsaw powered skates that made up for the lack of cross training. Surprisingly soccer was his second best subject as a lot of his skills translate well, but admittedly watching it made me think he would have done even better if lacrosse was an option. Baseball was third where he was one of the worst performers given he had the unfortunate luck to be up against PK-VS who dominated understandably. Meanwhile his worst subject was football where he might have died from being tackled if not for the fact that he is a member of the undead.

Dave Heinrich: Yeah I think bringing your super soldier and serial killer players along as well made it unfair for me.

Agent Tesla: Well maybe you should start genetically engineering yourself or REDACTED FOR LEGAL REASONS. Embrace whimsy Dave.
