Task 2:

Today will be a 22nd Opening Night for William Salming in the Simulation Hockey League. He has also experience from four opening nights in the junior hockey. So, what does Salming on opening nights? Well, he usually tries to keep his routines same. He sleeps long, eats a good lunch and then heads to a rink early so he can meet some fans outside the building and chat with them little bit. After that Salming goes inside the ice hall and begin to prepare for the game. During the warm-ups he usually throws pucks to the audience. He always gifts pucks same amount than he has seasons under his belt. So, this season Salming will gift 22 warm-up pucks to the crowd. You could say that financial department is not too happy about that but they still accept it because marketing department thinks it is a good PR move from veteran player like Salming. During the game Salming plays normally. He gives all he has and competes for the win always. But if you think during the game that it is a opening night, then you probably lose.

Home opening is always super exciting in the wolfden! The only problem for me is how overboard the whole thing has gotten. We have all the available alumni come in and work at various shops and stands, signing autographs for whoever wants them. They then have all the trophy presentations done, and we are now upto over 60 awards. In-between each award we do a fan appreciation video, for any season ticket holder accomplishments. By the time that is done we finally do the starting line up announcements after the warm up skate, where we get to give a detailed bio about our goals and hopes for the season, both on and off the ice. Sometimes these are funny, like when a few players said things like "I hope i get traded to another team so I don't have to do this anymore" after a short fireworks display, we get right into another round ice cleaning. Then we can do any banner raising ceremonies, followed by any retirement announcements. Then we present @luke with the team. Then we ge to finally play.

After they do a live auction for our jerseys off our back, sticks out our hands, gloves off our hands, skates off our feet, and jocks off our ... privates.

Overall it takes about 9 hours.

Ooooooh ho ho ho, Matthias’ fans know exactly why they come to see his games, and it’s for the absurd antics - opening night, the game is about, you know, the game itself, but the pre-show and especially after the game is over? No he can do absolutely bonkers stuff. Staying behind for autographs? Nah, if you want his autograph, you come down to the ice after the game where he’s installing an Octagon for an impromptu pro-wrestling tournament where the most wildly unconventional duo gets a new car and his signature tattoo’d on them.

Free merch? Absolutely not, Matthias fans are so unhinged that they’d be insulted by the offer - no, no, he hosts a challenge for the “bring your kid to the game” parents, about which kid can eat the most maple syrup. And the winner has the chance to buy the merch - nobody else >:0 nobody!

You see, Matthias is *very* in touch with his fans, they have rather extreme expectations of him, and finding ways to waste the SMJHL’s money is extremely important for his image and his brand Smile

"That way - no, no, a little to the left!"

"Oh, shit, not like that wait no -!!"

crash!!!

"Oh god Cake is gonna hit me again" :'0

Graj's pregame routine has always been the same, but he does spice it up a hair bit for opening nights. He usually doesn't do a ton with his routine, just skating out and lifting his stick to the crowd, then going to center ice before the puck drops and taking a knee to calm himself and center himself to enjoy the moment. However on opening nights, Graj skates around the entirety of the rink with his stick up, waving at everyone in the stands. He also likes to take a signed puck with him and stop at the first kid he sees on the opposite side of the rink from the benches and toss it to them. He also will stop and do a special handshake with the Forge mascot, something different every time. He likes to get the crowd fired up, but knows he can't get too far away from his normal routine or he'll struggle later on because his sense of normalcy is gone.

Wow, I was so nervous and excited when I got the call that I would be on the Greatest show on Earth and compete against other athletes from the 3 other great sim leagues: PBE, ISFL, SSL.  When I got there I found out my competition.
From the PBE it was Murphy LeSwift; he was a stocky powerful athlete with some speed that looked like he would be tough at many things.  The ISFL sent JamesIsRunning Wilder.  He's a running back that can catch.  Another fast guy, hopefully the only race will be on skates. And last was Puma Superhoops from he SSL.  He is flamboyant and almost looks like a cat.  I have my work cut out for me.

Lucky for me the first competition was the Hockey segment which pitted us against each other in an ice obstacle course. And I of course dusty everyone else and took the lead, with 5 points.  Unfortunately, the only other competition I did good in was the one for soccer where the rules were you had to keep an object in the air the longest without letting it hit the ground and you could only use equipment found in your sport, lucky for me.  I juggled a puck with my stick and even beat out Puma by 3 juggles.

The other two didn't go as well baseball was running around the bases in the quickest time and football was catching balls punted from the other side of the field, I only got 2.  But fun was had by everyone and I feel like I have known those guys forever, I am sure we will stay in touch.

Written Option 2:

The home opener is obviously a big occasion, as there’s just a little bit of extra nerves and energy in the arena. Rather than try to step it up, Ju-gong is focused on playing his best hockey and staying fundamental in games like this. For an early season game, there’s no reason to add any extra stress or pressure to a game that could affect one’s performance. So from an on-ice standpoint, there would be little different than what is always done. However, when it comes to fan engagement he’d be among the first to try and do something a little extra. From tossing out a few pucks, to greeting the crowd with pre and post-game with waves, he’d make sure everyone enjoys the special occasion. Obviously if there are any chances to sign autographs or do photos after the game the Korean captain would be more than happy to stay and make a few peoples days!

Wow, another opening night for the Winnipeg Aurora. Ive done this quite a few times now and it's always a great night. Everyone's super excited for the season. Almost all of the season ticket holders are in their seats. The anticipation is so palpable!!

Johnny has learned that the best way to make the night special is to work with the hockey ops people. The aurora hockey ops team manages the day to day at the stadium for all home games. They are the ones that make sure the game runs as smoothly as possible. And it's their first night of the season as well. Johnny does plenty of pretapes and is sure to not be late for those appointments. He meets with the groups, especially the young hockey players and fans, who come to the game early for tours. At this point in his career, Johnny take his role as an ambassador for the aurora very seriously, and opening night is the first of many days to continue that commitment.

The home opener for the Detroit Falcons will be one that many people remember for a long time. The seats the fans will sit on will be crafted out of genuine Falcon leather instead of that cheap standard cloth. Each drink will have a Falcon feather in it as a garnish (not optional). In addition to these things, there will be a chuck a puck event where the pucks will be shaped out of genuine Falcon bones. Where will we get all of these expired Falcon parts, might you ask? If you can recall, last season we ran an event where each fan received their own real life falcon. When you run an event where each fan gets a free real life Falcon, you wind up with way too many extra and expired birds. This is a real win-win for us, since we both get to clear out our expired Falcon room and the fans get a night they will never forget.

dieter frühstück very much wanted to go to the greatest show on earth to prove that he was an elite athlete. frühstück obviously dominated at hockey, because it is the sport that he plays. he did shockingly well at football, which makes sense because he is tall and big. he was able to catch the ball quite well but was burned speed-wise because he is not that fast. soccer was another sport that frühstück shocked everyone at, because he used to play the sport. in fact, he was on the cusp of making an appearance in the 2. bundesliga for his hometown team hansa rostock before giving up on soccer for ice hockey in his youth. baseball was where dieter was found out. it shouldn't shock you that dieter had no idea about what baseball was, and he was unable to pick up the sport quickly. bro could not make contact with the ball to save his life.
