RE: S59 Awards Show - Fantobens - 06-18-2021 RE: S59 Awards Show - hhh81 - 06-18-2021 Good evening and welcome to the S59 SHL Awards Show. Due to real life time constraints, this season we were unable to pull together graphics or find anyone able to live stream the event. In place of a fun person, y’all get stuck with me bringing you a throwback awards show. The play-by-play is here again! After a completely quiet and not-at-all controversial week in the SHL, I'm sure there will be nothing that will spark people's ire tonight. Right? Any and all complaints can be addressed to: Reid Sutherland SHL Forward and SHL Awards Head 8822 Howling Way Seattle, WA, 98105 Reid#0004 Jokes aside, I’m thrilled to be able to bring you this season’s awards. We have a full schedule this evening, so let’s waste no time getting started! RE: S59 Awards Show - JKortesi81 - 06-18-2021 Doom Time Good luck to all! It was fun while it lasted, but all good things must come to an end. Texas put up a dominant performance in the playoffs, defeating Seattle, Hamilton, and Buffalo on their way to the Cup. No one can reasonably say these folks didn’t earn their win. For the next season, enjoy the black, silver, and white around the forums. No crazy colors for a little bit. Texas also is the winner of the Cole Reinhart Trophy, given to the Western Conference Champs. I’m sure many people think it’s good to see an actual Western team win this for once! For the Mathias Chouinard Trophy, we have your Eastern Conference Champion Buffalo Stampede . Buffalo didn’t let falling short of the Great Lakes regular season championship phase them. They quickly dispatched Tampa Bay and Atlanta before taking down division rival Chicago in 5 games on their way to their second consecutive Challenge Cup Finals appearance. Finally, congratulations to the Hamilton Steelhawks for winning the President’s Trophy this season. Their 113 points was the best in league history. It’s hard to imagine us seeing a season like that again. The S59 recipient of the Sergei Karpotsov for most points, was Theo Morgan @Otrebor13 with an insane 102 points. Morgan also won the Jay McDonald Trophy for most goals, with 48 goals. Congrats to the great! Our Turd Furguson winner is Boris Poroshenko @The__Y-man__100 of the Calgary Dragons . Poroshenko ran away with this with 120 penalty minutes, a 47-minute lead over second place. In a league that’s zagging, Poroshenko zigged. Finally, we have the Mike Honcho Trophy, awarded to the goalie(s) who had the lowest goals against. Our recipients, despite a Steve Harvey moment earlier this week, is Texas’ tandem, Cillian Kavanagh @takethehorizon and White Goodman @Jearim. They let up only 141 goals this season! Congrats, boys.
