Doom is a jobber

First up, we’d like to congratulate the Texas Renegades on breaking the Great Lakes’ four season streak of Challenge Cup Champions by bringing the Challenge Cup back to the Western Conference. It was fun while it lasted, but all good things must come to an end. Texas put up a dominant performance in the playoffs, defeating Seattle, Hamilton, and Buffalo on their way to the Cup. No one can reasonably say these folks didn’t earn their win. For the next season, enjoy the black, silver, and white around the forums. No crazy colors for a little bit.

Texas also is the winner of the Cole Reinhart Trophy, given to the Western Conference Champs. I’m sure many people think it’s good to see an actual Western team win this for once!

For the Mathias Chouinard Trophy, we have your Eastern Conference Champion Buffalo Stampede . Buffalo didn’t let falling short of the Great Lakes regular season championship phase them. They quickly dispatched Tampa Bay and Atlanta before taking down division rival Chicago in 5 games on their way to their second consecutive Challenge Cup Finals appearance.
