RE: S80 PT #1: The Greatest Show On Earth - Dash - 12-16-2024

Written Option #1

Dash Jackson is excited to represent his team and league on the "Greatest Show on Earth". Growing up, Dash was always a multiple sport athlete. I know he will do great in most f the events and have a great opportunity to win the show. When Dash first arrived on studio for the initial taping of the show it was safe to say he was star struck! Some of the other competitors are from the rival NHL with David Pastrnak of the Boston Bruins and Connor McDavid of the Edmonton Oilers. Other leagues represented are the MLB with Aaron Judge of the New York Yankees and Fernando Tatis Jr of the San Diego Padres, also there are competitors from the NFL and NBA. Including, Randy Moss Retired NFL Wide receiver and Jason Tatum of the World champions Boston Celtics. Soccer portion of the show wasn't Dash's strength, missing all 5 penalty kicks and most of his passes getting knocked out in the 1st round of that competition

Written Option 2: Home Opening nights are usually big shows for the hosting team. Fans are watching with anticipation, waiting for the first look at what their favourite teams are going to look like this season. How does your player try to make opening night special? Do they stay behind to sign autographs for the fans? Do they give it 120% to get a win for the first home game of the season? Do they do special celebrations when introduced in the pre-game ceremony?

Opening night for the S80 is upon us and Kim Chaewon is always eager to support her fans and interact with them! On the day of the first home game for the Kraken, Chaewon is planning to hold a fan meet and greet in the arena giving fans the chance to meet and take a picture with Kim Chaewon. There will also be exclusive photocards that will be handed out to fans who attend the event to commemorate the opening of the S80 season. In Kim Chaewon's first game as a Kraken last season, she managed to score a hat-trick in her very first game in the SMJHL. For this season, in the very first game against the Newfoundland Berserkers on home ice, Chaewon managed to put up a goal and 3 assists helping the Kraken secure their 1st win of the season!

After the game, she signed some pucks and threw them out into the fans who stayed behind after the game.

Written Option 2:

One way that Normand Marineau tries to make opening night special is by inviting as many family members and close friends as he can to the game. With this being his third season in the league and a veteran on the team, he now gets a few extra tickets than usual. This gets him pumped up before the game and gives him extra motivation to perform on the ice. After coming off a disappointing end to last season where the Raptors lost in the finals to the Citadelles, Marineau and the team want to start the season on a positive note and give the fans something to cheer about. Marineau knows that kids will be attending, so he tries his best to sign as many autographs as possible and hand out a few extra pucks to some kids behind the glass. Opening night also means fun celebrations. When introducing each player, the Raptors will have a kid as a mascot with a Raptors jersey to skate out with the player.

The opening home game is an opportunity to showcase everyone's talents and to start off with a bang. This includes one superstar player of the Minnesota Monarchs, Kevin Kim, who wants to make the best entry for himself. He could show his skill by giving it his all in the first home game. Although he didn't plan to be in this best performance throughout the regular season as that would be very energy draining, he still wanted to give it 120% for a special occasion for the fans. Furthermore, Kevin Kim was known to love fan supports and acknowledges fans through autographs or merchandise giveaways. So in the first home game of the season, he wanted to show his love for his fans by providing time before and after the game to meet his fans while signing autographs. Additionally, he created shooting targets for fans to play, which if anyone won, would get free Monarch merchandise.

oh boy, Kiwi now gets the chance to FIGHT players from all the other sim leagues? How would she fare against standout DSFL TE Rocket Toss in the boxing ring? What if we put SSL Division 2 Winger and cousin to Kiwi, Viktoria and her in a foot race (spoiler alert she loses). Really this game show doesn't even sound like a contest of athletes as most of the invited players end up related to each other in a massive Snooks-Soderberg-Trembly-forgot the other names giant family reunion where there's probably more eating hot dog contests or like king of the small wooden raft in the middle of the lake competitions happening. But I'm sure @sköldpaddor @JURT @SDCore and our cat @SchwarzNarr all have a great time fighting each other or eating til they are sick. Or the ultimate challenge, who can do the most keg stands in one night, letssss gooooo. its like a party at the lake, but on TV now.

Written Option 1:

So Ville Sato-Maki has been invited to "The Greatest Show on Earth", honestly after hearing the news Sato-Maki wasn't particularly thrilled by the news but his agent and Aurora marketing manager sat him down in the team meeting room to talk about how great of an opportunity this is for the branding of not only him, but the team as well. Especially this being his rookie season in the SHL, he could become a favourite in the league. However, Ville really had no plans on being a part of this show so when competing in the challenges, he would give off a nonchalant attitude while still crushing the challenges because of his competitive nature. Week after week, Ville participates and does decently well in most sports until he hit a wall with American football. Being Finnish-Canadian, American football was not a thing for him compared to other sports and he struggled majorly with the football until he was ultimately eliminated from the show. Whether he liked it or not, this was great for Sato-Maki's branding, especially as the cool, nonchalant character that was seen on screen.

Written Option 2: Making opening night special is pretty easy for Alexa. For the first home game of the season, after all, there would definitely be ceremonies. Including one that was going to be all about her. The presentation of the Ryan Jesster Rookie of the Year award for Season 79. It was a show all about her own performance last year, highlights of Alexa's last season on the jumbotron as spotlights illuminated her doing a lap of the rink before coming to center ice, where she would be presented with the trophy for the award. Honestly, it was even almost a little bit embarrassing to have so much attention focused on her, but the feeling of victory and achievement made it all worth it. After all, each player only got one chance to win the Jesster, making it even more exclusive than the Khan or Mexico... and it sure didn't hurt, looking up at the jumbotron as she finished her lap, seeing it replaying her 89th point of last season, the SHL rookie record, while the crowd cheered!

The opening games of the season are always special. I like the atmosphere, because you haven't played a club game for a long time, and you can finally show the audience what you've trained for during the summer. Since I'm still at the junior level, I, of course, like to share my autographs the most. Of course, the number of people who want them is not large, but for me it's already important. Usually, the team and I spend the whole day at attractions with the fans, we try to unite with them so that they come and support us more and more. On game days, we don't get to spend so much time with everyone, so we focus more on the game, so that we can win that first home game. What could be more beautiful than winning the first home game of the season. It's always a special moment.

Option 1: Dionicio is never one to shy away from challenges or sports. While he may be a hockey player today, soccer, floorball (salibandy) and basketball were sports he grew up playing at various levels. Dionicio has always wanted to try his hand at football (the American one) but that is basically non-existent in Europe. Trying various positions during the games, Dionicio found that he isn’t a horrible edge rusher (for someone who never played it). Managed to get a QB hit in on Josh Allen, who definitely wasn’t even trying to avoid it. Basketball was a bit less peculiar for Dionicio, at 6-5 he’s got the size not to look out of place on the court. His three-ball isn’t close to ideal but if you let him take an open shot he’ll still hit at a rate where you’d want to attempt to cover him. Don’t ask Dionicio to be the facilitator, while he has the vision and instincts to be fine, his technique and ball control and not even close to a level where you want him to be hogging the ball. Instead, it’s better to let teammate Steph Curry solve all the facilitation problems. Uniquely they have Scandinavian floorball (Salibandy) here. For once Dionicio looks like he isn’t just a super athletic dude who’s walking in on a sport for fun. While he can’t come close to matching fellow teammate Emil Johansson’s skill, he’s still at least 3rd best on the team!

Opening night is an important night for all athletes and sports teams. It’s all about starting fresh and having to prove yourself all over again. In the SMJHL, this is especially the case, as consistency over seasons is difficult due to player turnover. The Kraken are hungrier than ever given the solid season and disappointing end in the playoffs in S79. For opening night, Chuck doesn’t change much. Routine is important to him. Not on a superstitious level, but ensuring that he’s ready to go for every game. Doesn’t matter if it’s game one or game 66. Chuck is there for the fans. He knows how much this means to many of them and is very thankful for their support. At home games, he is known for sticking around long past many of his teammates to sign autographs or talk with fans. The team, the league, his passion for the game are all because of the fans' support

My player, Leonard Wood, tries not to get too over hyped for the home opener. It is after all a single game in a long series of games. He likes to treat each one the same way and play in a consistent manner that will contribute to the long term success of his team throughout the season. If he were to put everything into the home opener, wearing himself out on night one, he might not have the same juice the next game. So he could dominate the opponent one night then drop the next game just as spectacularly. Wood figures that if he keeps his eyes on the prize, the Challenge Cup, he will be rewarded for that. The fans should also appreciate his dedication to winning. Surely, seeing him lift a cup would be much more worth it than seeing him being a little bit more showy on opening night.

RE: S80 PT #1: The Greatest Show On Earth - NUCK - 12-17-2024

Home openers are one of Will's favorite types of games and he does his best to show up for these with his best effort. Prior to puck drop he is not a friendly guy or even someone you want to be around and this is because his mind is solely on the game at hand and nothing else. The build up takes all his nerves and concentration as he stews there full of nervous energy and adrenaline. This puts him into a short amped up mood that leaves little room for conversation. Once that puck drops though hes a whole new man and his record in home openers shows great success in more of them then not. After the game is a completely different situation though as he becomes all about the fans, regardless of if hes on the road or at home. The excitement always leaves him in a good mood regardless of the result and he is always happy to sign some autographs and take some pic's.
