Quote:Home Opening nights are usually big shows for the hosting team. Fans are watching with anticipation, waiting for the first look at what their favourite teams are going to look like this season. How does your player try to make opening night special? Do they stay behind to sign autographs for the fans? Do they give it 120% to get a win for the first home game of the season? Do they do special celebrations when introduced in the pre-game ceremony?

Home opening night is a great time for the fans, but for a player, it usually is a great reminder of how out of shape they are after the off-season. One thing McLovin has learned in his time in the league is that its not a sprint, its a marathon, and proper conditioning and pacing yourself is important. Give 120% to get a win? No. This game is as important as one in week 2, or in week 12. Every game is max effort, that's the key to success, consistency. Not wishy washy effort. The product on the ice should be greatness, regardless of home or away, playoffs or not, opening night or closing night, its 100% effort 100% of the time. Now signing autographs or meeting fans? Absolutely. They're the backbone of the team, and their support is paramount to achieving greatness, so get the sharpie ready because McLovin is going to town.

Rence Sykut spends the entirety of the offseason looking forward to getting back on the ice in game situations, so opening night is always an ecstatic burst of endorphins especially in front of a raucous home crowd. The butterflies are always a little more present, the anthem sounds just a little bit better, and the roar of the crowd feels a little more cacophonous in that first game playing at home. Rence would say he does not do anything different for the home opener, but deep down he knows that he is gripping his stick a little tighter and zipping around during warm up with a little more zeal than an ordinary game in the middle of the season. Most importantly, he just wants to get the win and feel the joy that is playing professional simulated hockey in the greatest simulated league in the world in front of the greatest simulated fans in the league.

Graphic Option 1: Create an image of an ad for the game show involving your player and at least 2 other athletes from different sports.

Option 2:

Well for starters, in the Atlanta Inferno home opener against their major rivals, the Philadelphia Forge, the Atlanta Inferno put an absolute butt whooping on them to win 6-3. For most fans, that is about as much as they could ask for on an opening night match up. Paul Bondage made sure to keep the energy up the entire night. From walking into the arena from the parking lot, to handing out pucks over the glass and pausing for selfies in warm ups, and keeping that intensity going throughout the entire match, Paul Bondage and the entire team of the Atlanta Inferno were buzzing and making sure every fan left happy that night. Of course, Paul Bondage always loves to hand out more autographs and selfies to the fans lined up outside on the way back to the car and of course a home opener would be no different. Playing great hockey, building a great community, that's what the Atlanta Inferno are all about.

Oh, Blade Hunter is definitely going to “The Greatest Show on Earth.” You tell him there’s a chance to prove hockey players are the toughest, and he’s already packing his gear. The show’s got all kinds of crazy challenges with baseball, soccer, football, and hockey... so Blade’s feeling good about the hockey parts. If it’s skating, shooting, or stickhandling, he’s showing off and flexing on everyone there. The other athletes are some big named football dudes who look like mountains, soccer players who can run forever, and baseball guys trying to look cool while standing still. Blade holds his own against them in everything except baseball. Put a bat in his hands, and it’s a disaster. He swings like he’s trying to chop firewood. Misses everything. Strikes out every time. Some baseball player laughs so hard he falls off the bench, but Blade just grins. “I don’t see you stopping pucks or taking hits, buddy.” In football, Blade does okay because he’s got size and can tackle. Soccer’s not too bad either, though his kicks look like slapshots. In the end, Blade ain’t the best at everything, but he works hard and puts hockey on the map.

1.  Levon would be honoured to join this event, going up against some of the best athletes in the world. Luka Doncic, Patrick Mahomes, Bryson DeChambeau and Cristiano Ronaldo are the main players. An event like this will mostly be challenges completely unrelated, but there will be one challenge for each sport that they play. Levon will struggle with golf and most of the brainy problems, but he will have no trouble in the basketball part, having played in high school. Football and soccer won’t be to bad, but in the overall standings he will be pretty far down. Most of the big athletes will be toward the bottom due to not trying for most of the sections, the ones who had a chance of winning are some of the minor players who want to prove that they can be up there with the best of the best. He won’t win, but he will have a great time.

Well, since Petr Svoboda is a fucking machine, a game show that relies on abilities regarding sports, then he was made for this. Going on the show would certainly help spread the good word about Czechia and our brand, so there's positives in making an appearance. Further more, a level of success would help prove to the agencies and government powers involved would help prove the capabilities of the project, in addition to any prize money helping fund Petr and and the project surrounding his creation and deployment. Petr would obviously CRUSH the game show as a result. He is a flawless, physical machine and can take on all sports and more, especially considering his training regimen is already all-encompassing. Training all the various muscle groups and techniques is of the utmost important for creating an all-around athlete, so Petr is well-prepared to be the decathlon champion of organized sports. Petr has no weak spots.

If you had asked me this question before this season, I would have said Hans Gronlund would be out of the game in the early rounds, and most likely not even gone. But Hans has come out of the gate swinging this season, recording 5 pts through his first 4 games and continuing to be a defensive leader on Vancouver. So now, I think not only would Hans go, I think Hans could move on to the later rounds of the game, potentially even winning! It's always a big toss up with players like Hans, who may have hidden talents but are solely focused on one aspect of the game and doing it well, but he is showing the world right now that he's not just a one trick pony.

The other athletes involved would have to be other great players from minor league sports systems around the world, otherwise there would be no competition. I can't say I'm too familiar with minor league systems in sports that aren't hockey, so I'll leave this part up to the showrunners to figure out. As far as the worst sport for Hans, I think it would definitely have to be american football, as his skill set would leave him stuck in an offensive lineman role, and his physicals just aren't up to par with the size of football players.

Jennifer knows how big of a deal opening night is every season, and this year she decides to break out all the stops. She flew in Le Sserafim for an opening night concert after the game, so whether win or lose the fans go home happy after a free concert. Jen also stays behind to sign autographs and take pictures with the fans. In terms of on ice play, Jen definitely gives it her all. She’s warmed up after pre-season and knows that the first home game of the season can set the tone. This year the home opener is against New Orleans, a solid team from the Central. A win against them would definitely show that they are again contending for the cup. The Dragons also did a special pre-game meet and greet as well with all players, letting the fans get autographs, take pictures, and show all their support for the Dragons before the season starts.

Johnny certainly takes opening night very seriously. It's a brand new slate and there is a chance to get the season off on a good foot. Of course sometimes that has to happen on the road but not always. This season the Forge got it all started in Philly in front of the home crowd taking on a very good Texas Renegades team.
Johnny tries to get there a bit early. The little kids lining up for autographs seem glad with anyone they can get. Sharing a few words with the fans, usually promising to have the best season we can have. The pure optimism is unreal, and with how close the Forge have gotten to winning the cup the last few seasons in honestly makes sense.
Once it's game time though it's full on midseason form. Every game you have to push to get a win, no difference number one or number 50.

Dan is invited to compete against other competitors from other sports in a bunch of drills from the respective sports? Oh there isn't a chance in hell he is missing out on that chance. As for the other competitors, he hasn't heard about the personally, but rumors have it is Spike Shaftwell of the SSL, Lyle Robideaux of the ISFL, and Dan Johnston of the PBE. Dan isn't worried about what sports he will excel in since everyone knows hockey is by far the hardest one to play. Growing up Dan played baseball in the summer and football in the fall anyways so he knows he can perform well in those two sports as well. As for soccer? How hard is it really to run around and kick a ball every so often? Dan will dominate the show and be crowned the ultimate competitor of all sport.  What is the reward for winning? Money? A Trophy? Or just the national knowledge that Dan Johnston of the Atlanta Inferno is the best there is, the best there was and there isn't a damn thing you can do about it.

2:
This is Greyson Willis's second opening night with the Kraken. Last season, his rookie season, he spent most of the game just taking it all in and enjoying his first game in the show. However, now that he's been around for a whole season, there are new expectations on him. The coach has bumped him up a line, giving him a chance at extra minutes after his performance in his rookie season. Of course, this comes with the expectation that that performance will not only continue, but improve. If anything, this season's opener is even more important than his rookie season's, as the team knows what he is capable of now and is relying on him to contribute. Willis knows this, and plans on pushing himself as hard as he can to put up his best performance. He also wants to make sure he doesn't let his teammates down, because he knows they are working just as hard as he is out there.

The Thunder Bay Walleye home opener was also their season opener, and going into a season after some growth last year, the fans felt the energy. It was a nearly full house as the players make their way onto the ice for warmups ahead of their game against Ottawa Highlanders. Tip Toasty comes out getting mentally prepared for his first game on the top line in a new position, moving to left wing. As he stepped to the ice, he had to shut out the noise and interaction from the fans along the tunnel, turning his attention to getting straight to the rink and getting in some warmups. After the pregame shoot around, Toasty made time to sign a few autographs before the opening lineups and anthems. Unfortunately for Toasty and the walleye, the anticipation seems to have got the better of them, as the Highlanders take the season opener 8-0. Toasty was visibly frustrated at times during the game, seemingly at his own play, as he finished with 0 points and -2 plus/minus. Good thing there are 65 more games to go.
