kinda absurd to yoink draftees for posting smt an hour late though imo

at the end of the day the real crime was hallsy posting something an hour late everyones blowing this a lil out of proportion

Well originally that was the crime, now I think the real crime is that ownership took any semblance power that head office may have had away.

Just get rid of the draftee rights rules completely since they don’t matter, and give back anything anyone has ever been punished for at this point. There’s zero point to a rulebook.

This is pathetic. And I know you know that.

Fucking jokes.

HO originally was going to let all 3 go to bidding. While I'm sure people would love to see Hamilton lose 3 1st round picks due to negligence, it is absolutely not what the rule was meant for. I feel partially responsible for not pointing that out in Tommy's rule overview/clarification. The whole point is to stop GMs from abusing a loophole that allowed them to keep players rights without spending cap.

True, but what it was "meant for" and "how it is stated" are different. Saying the rule doesn't apply because it's not convenient for the situation is a really bad look imo

Head office determines the rule was broken as written, punishment is as follows and ownership says you know what, discord messages that can be edited are proof enough for me, I'll have to take your season 67 2nd rounder though.

Delete the rule then, it's not being followed anyways, why did we even introduce it.

RE: HAM Punishment and Ruling on Draftee Signings - PremierBromanov - 08-20-2021

you know I've seen at least 2 GMs fired for not following the letter of the law so this "punishment" comes across as making an exception to that letter. I look forward to seeing a merciful ruling on the next team to break a rule.

My favorite part is how the punishment is six seasons from now and potentially doesn’t punish the current GMs at all.

Joke.

Cheathawks strike again

wtf @Air Crou is this true?

This is my favorite thing to do now that I know Discord DMs count for something. You can also edit the date, the username, hell, even their profile picture. If someone actually wanted to do harm with this, they definitely could.
@Memento Mori I think this gives you the perfect answer. Python did this to me as a joke. Imagine someone with malicious intents. A GM wanting to sign a FA after getting rejected, perhaps.

It's dot hockey...

To be clear, this is a draft pick 6 seasons away and $333,333.00 cap hit per player as a punishment for neglecting gm duties
