They've rated more than 9 albums with an XXL, Dyl. They've only rated 9 with XXL since they were founded, but went back and retroactively gave some albums an XXL rating.
ah ok...when was XXL Mag founded?

I'm talking about ones that weren't rerated or the older ones or w/e it is

@ Alex:

The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill
The Blueprint
Get Rich or Die Tryin'
Be
Late Registration
Hell Hath No Fury
MBDTF
Life is Good
GKMC

And then the other ones are:

The Chronic
Enter the Wu-Tang (36 Chambers)
Illmatic
The Diary
The Infamous
All Eyez on Me
Reasonable Doubt
Don Killuminati (The 7 Day Theory)
Life After Death
2001
The Marshall Mathers LP
The Lost Tapes
College Dropout

But still, only 9 albums that weren't rerates or done retroactively or whatever is high praise for GKMC.

Get Rich or Die Trying is a classic album no matter what you say. That was THE album of 2003-2005, bigger than College Dropout. I think you're highly underestimating how big 50 really was.

yes 50 Cent was big and his album was The Album. Neither of those makes it a classic album. A classic album is good front to back. There were some meh cuts on that album

What Up Gangsta
Patiently Waiting
Many Men
In da Club
High All the Time
If I Can't
P.I.M.P
Don't Push Me
21 Questions

All songs that I still listen to and sound new, yet the album was released almost 10 years ago. 9/15 is pretty damn impressive, so I guess if we're going front to back it wasn't a classic. But I did enjoy most of the songs, and still listening to 9 out of 15 songs on it is REALLY good for a 10 year tenured album.

I agree that it is a great album. I just don't think it deserved the XXL rating
