6. This season was pretty disappointing. My lowest points scored in my career and far off pace for where I want to be. Just gonna make my points grind that much longer. I'd still like to get more assists than goals so I can maybe push for 1000 assists but who knows how far I can stay in it. I think as long as I have some goals I'm fine though. Next season I hope to get closer to 40 points. I have less TPE but you never know with the sim, things can just hit right and you can get extra 15 points for doing nothing in a season.

Los Angeles comes to finals after two seven game seriesses while Tampa Bay has only lost one game after the first round and they have 3 less games during the playoffs. Do you think Tampa Bay gets meaningful advantage from seemingly easier path to the finals as they come in more rested? Or is there no stopping the train of the Los Angeles after they fought their way through teams that finished second and third during regular season? How do you think the path to the finals will impact the series and does it change who you favor?

I don't think rest matters too much for these teams I think when you got a team like LA tanking through the best of the best in the league that they are gonna keep that momentum and bulldoze on through. Though the underdogs have been winning recently you never know that could be the break that puts tampa over the top.

Team Russia got replaced by Quebec, which for sure got people talking about the IIHF. What other nations/regions would you like to see get their own team? Would you think they should replace current teams and if so which ones would you seek to replace? And most importantly, why you think that teams you picked would be more interesting or improve the IIHF in general?

Probably Mexico, there is a lot of support for that I think. Probably something from South America too that's a whole continent without really any representation. A Brazil team would be really interesting to see or maybe Argentina or Colombia. Any of those I think would bring a unique vibe to the IIHF that isn't there yet. I don't mind teams getting replaced if they don't have the interest to sustain their base without serious intervention. Times change and the population as well and I think that the IIHF nations should reflect what nations people want to be in it. Maybe just a South America team if its too hard to get anything for one specific country.

3. It is my belief that the Bash Brothers from Tampa will be victorious in this matchup. While the Panthers are no slouches, DuBølk and Brown are elite among elite players, and they should shut down anyone that comes their way. Their combined size and strength have dominated all season, and it shouldn't be different going into the finals. Having two players that will be awards finalists and likely winners, they should handle them easily. That said, this will be the biggest challenge for the Bash Brothers, and their skills will be put to the test at the end of the day. (101 Words, +2 TPE)

5. The long name game is a time-honored tradition in the SHL, and it is my belief that teams with more players with longer names have an advantage over those with many shorter named people. It's easier to note down penalties if your name is short, so for people like, say, Jølngüštrâädüvich DuBølk, they can avoid penalties more often since it will save effort for those at the top. Because of that, there can be more wiggle room with things like hits and instigating. Long names are also more intimidating, and will completely flabbergast anyone that tries to read them (aka, most of the Tampa Bay Barracuda's enemies). (107 Words, +2 TPE)

6. This is probably one of the best seasons I've had with a player on the site: major award nominees, high point totals, almost winning the cup, and many other things happened that I would be satisfied with if even one of those things happened during a season. That being said, I've become semi-active and I imagine regression will take a big hit on my performance. (65 Words, +1 TPE)

13. I believe that Austria should get its own IIHF team, and be put into the team Rhine for the WJC given it does have a small border with the rhine. They have a big hockey culture there with one of the top 15 IIHF teams in real life, and they also have some domestic league in the form of the ICE, and are one of the big players in European hockey. It is a tradgedy that they are not recognized. Alot of talent can come from austrian hockey, and it’s a shame that all off their players have to play in the german federation if they want to be able to compete within their own language group.
