Note: The team has been renamed to the Eagles to avoid confusion. Congrats to Mike Izzy for being named Captain as of 8/10

Legacy Tournament Announcement- http://simulationhockey.com/showthread.php?tid=98768

These draft classes absolutely owned the SHL through much of the S40's. Still a dominant force in the league, these players are reaching a point where their careers are winding down and they will look to win it all one final time before calling it a career. Let's see if they can add a Legacy Tournament Win to their trophy case.

Dani Forsberg  Platoon @Insayne

Still killing it on the Platoon, Forsberg has been part of three championships in the past decade. A symmetrical 20 goals and 20 assists this past season, Dani is a major offensive contributor and will be a leader on this Legacy Steelhawks team.

Matthew Auston  Rage @Dweaves08

One of the oldest members of a young Rage squad, Auston has shown true leadership and can still pot 36 pts despite having been in the league almost 10 years more than his teammates. His experience adds a much needed locker room presence and he will be looked upon to lock down the center position on this team.

Angelo Odjick  Steelhawks @QuantumCowboy

Another vet on a rebuilding team, Odjick led Hamilton in goals and continues to be a fantastic winger for the franchise. While he won't need to mentor many of the players on this team, he can still team them a thing or two on how to score goals.

Louie Garrett  Stampede @dizzyDC

Being moved mid season from Texas must have been hard on Garrett, but he responded in stride by winning a cup. A true legend of the SHL, Garrett has a scoring title under his belt and with 47 pts last season, he shows no sign of slowing down.

Joseph Lombardi  pride @bluesfan55

We have no word on his retirement, but we don't need it as Lombardi is still scoring tons of points on a Pride squad that has been moving back towards the playoffs in recent seasons. With 38 pts last season, Lombardi will contribute up and down the lineup and will add an insane depth to this Legacy Steelhawks team.

Sophia Bennett  Platoon @goilers

Bennett is another insanely talented player on this team, leading the stacked Platoon in pts last season with 51. Bennett does not know how to stop scoring, but that is never a problem in this league. Watch out for how Sophia performs with these kinds of linemates.

Teddy Cuddles  Blizzard @"cpetrella"

Another player near the top of league scoring season in and season out, Cuddles will lure you in with his inviting name and absolutely truck you. Edmonton has not been able to find playoff success in recent years, but through no fault of Teddy. He has led the Blizzard this past season in scoring yet again, and will look to build chemistry with his linemates to show off his wide skillset.

Oisin Fletcher  Specters @Evok

Calling many franchises home over the seasons, Fletcher has really taken a rag tag group of players in New Orleans and turned them into a terrifying team to play against. Shoring up 2C and giving the Specters an excellent 1-2 punch down the middle, Fletcher potted 45 pts last season on route to a conference finals loss. Another Irish player on this squad, they don't take losing very lightly.

Roman Augustus  Specters @TheDangaZone

Didn't we just do an Irish Specters player? Deja Vu. Augustus has been a premier player in the league for a long time and a name synonymous with victory. Once part of a Dragons dynasty, Augustus looks to bring NOLA into that same winning culture. He scored 41 pts last season and created insane depth for the Specters, much like he will do on this Legacy Steelhawks team.

Finn Kruger  Steelhawks @adamantium

An offensive defenseman if I've ever seen one, Kruger will be another threat on the ice on a team that can roll all four lines and will not hesitate to force mistakes from the opponents and launch his team on the attack. With an excellent 37 pts last season, Kruger is not someone you want with the puck, unless of course, you cheer for the team he plays for.

Karl Hefeweizen  Specters @gfridge

A more stay-at-home defenseman as compared to the previous player, Hefeweizen is on a team with a mix of old and new, and is therefor looked to as a veteran presence on the Specters. He will need to be defensively sound to withstand the onslaught of this tournament opponents, but I have no doubt he is up to the task.

Isak Odegard  pride @prettyburn

One of the top players of the S36 class, Odegard continues to push the limit of what offense can look like from a defenseman. Putting up 38 pts, Odegard has insane offensive awareness and can find the open player no matter where they are on the ice.

Sami Owens  syndicate @Tylar

Another vet on a young team, Owens comes up big for the syndicate. Adding more offensive depth to this blue line, Owens continues to put up strong numbers on a team that has its ups and downs during the season. Other teams will not have it easy no matter what defensive pairing steps on the ice for this team.

Clint Eastwood  Specters @Clint Eastwood

I ain't happy, I'm feeling glad that another Specter has made it onto this squad. Not seeing the minutes he once did, Eastwood is still very defensively trustworthy and can shut down the opponents' top lines without breaking a sweat. He will compliment some of the offensively minded defensemen on this team very well.

Evgueni Marmeladov  Panthers @Vikian

The last remaining goaltender of the S36 class, Marmeladov has been the starter of the Panthers for a long time. Once a perennial playoff team, the Panthers have had struggles and look to rebuild and become one of the top teams once again. Marmeladov split time last season and mentored the young Eddy Ask Jr. to carry more of the burden as he gets older. He rocked a very solid .910 save percentage and hopes with a stacked squad like this in front of him, he will put up some great numbers as he reaches the twilight of his career.

Alternate Captain 2- Tigole Bitties  Wolfpack @Ace

Bitties has been the face of the New England franchise since his arrival on the team, and he continues to help all the young players grow as they get better and better and mold the team into a contender. Bitties is an assist machine and perhaps the most offensively gifted blueliner on this team, and there is a case for him being one of the top in the league. No one can do it quite like Bitties.

Alternate Captain 1-  Mike Izzy  Dragons @Mike Izzy

The Augment himself adds another threat down the middle of this team and is a natural choice to wear a letter. He will be sure to provide leadership to this team and make sure they are firing on all cylinders. Izzy can do it all, hit, block shots, win draws, and most importantly, score. With 50 pts last season and numerous cup rings on his fingers, Izzy will dunk on some fools and show why the Dragons will never have to rebuild as long as he wears the uniform.

Captain- Robert Phelps  Steelhawks @DrunkenTeddy

Izzy is hella classy, and Phelps is just as classy. A true leader on and off the ice, he does a lot for the league and the Hamilton franchise and it will be an honor for him to captain this team packed full of captain material and league legends. With the future of Hamilton uncertain, and with a lot of young prospects still trying to find their place in the game, Phelps will relish the opportunity to play with experienced and competitive teammates such as these.

Thank you all for your support of this project and I will continue to announce rosters throughout the week. Show your support for your class in the comments and tell me how you think this team will do! Stay tuned for more news regarding the SHL LEGACY TOURNAMENT

Edit- Izzy is now captain
