TheDangaZone's Unsung Hero of the Game!

Welcome back to yet another TDZ unsung hero of the game! Tonight we had an absolute slaughter on our hands as Colorado manhandled Kelowna to a 8-4 victory. Not a very good showing for either goalie. While plenty of Colorado's players would easily fit tonight seeing their stat sheet I decided to award Asvard Lyszczarczyk with the unsung hero of the game. Asgard was able to put up 2 assists for the Mammoths. Not only that but he was able to register a shot on goal and get a shot block. But most importantly for the Mammoths was that Asvard put up 2 assists while also being one of the leading Mammoths in penalty kill time. So for his work on the PK as well as helping the scoreboard tonights TDZ unsung hero of the game goes to Asvard Lyszczarczyk.

Physical Player of the Game

Casey Creller of the Mammoths receives the title tonight, as he collected 4 hits in the Mammoths' 8-4 drubbing of the Knights. Every hit that Creller made resulted in a turnover for the Mammoths, which is effective hitting. This type of physical play is one of the many reasons that Colorado dumped Kelowna.

<div align="center">The Atleast you Tried, Player of the Game!

The Atleast you tried player of the game award goes to the Kelowna Knights forward Janis Døro. The second liner tried to help the Knights to a win, but instead the Knights got trampled. Janis Døro scored two goals and also added a helper in the losing effort, so atleast he tried to help his team win the game. He was also named the first star of the game which is pretty impressive considering his team got smoked all around the ice. He also went 10/28 in the face off dot which is pretty decent. So in all, Janis Døro gets the Atleast you tried, player of the game Award!!</div>

Welcome readers to another exciting edition of Gatorade Fuel's Workhorse of the Game, where we go deeper into what else is winning today's SMJHL games aside from goal scoring. The Mammoths put on a clinic in their 8-4 stomping of Kelowna, but underneath surface numbers, who was worked the hardest on the ice for the Mammoths? Now usually we try to avoid just picking the players who just scored the most, but we just couldn't ignore Daedric Heikennen's unbelievable performance in tonight's game. Aside from his 1-2-3 stat line, his 4 shots were a big influence on the team's offence performance, but more importantly his 2 hits and 1/1 faceoff percentage had a big influence on his team's defensive play, which was less than stellar, but was masked by the team's 8 goals. He had a decent amount of ice time as well, and was all around just nearly perfect in every aspect of his game! Let's see more games like that Heikennen, and see you next game readers!

Welcome to another installment of our <time frame in which the author posts these> feature, the #BeIzzy Inside the #BrandIzzy Box, where we look at who uses their grit and determination to think inside the box.

Who gets the box is always a toss up when the Knights play. Just kidding. It's always SLAUGHTER. This time he was in the box for 9 minutes, after a fight with Finn Jakobsen, a hook, and a hold. Truly a man among boys. Congratulations on another #BRANDIZZY Box, Slaughter.

<div align="center"> Mammoths Teddy Kesler Mammoths </div>
Teddy Kesler had a team high 9 shots on goal.. went 14/26 (54%) and had a 2 point night scoring 1 goal and distributing for another. The mammoths had a well balanced attack tonight and although there were 8 goals, there were 8 different goal scorers! We really thought Teddy would have more as he seemed to have multiple quality chanced thru the game. He was hard to miss out there!

<div align="center"> Knights Janis Døro Knights </div>

Janis Døro came out flying tonight for the nights and had a 3 point night. Snagging 2 goals and 1 assist and rocking a +2 rating.. its clear that Janis was not the reason the nights lost tonight. The Mammoths put up 8 goals on the Knights and Janis still was a +2.

Punching Bag Of The Game
Eddie Andrezjeck

Can you name the player that was hit 4 times and lost the puck 4 times this game? Are you sure? First name Eddie, last name Andrezjeck. Daedric Heikennin layed him out twice in the second period. Though Eddie did notch an assist early in the second period, Daedric outplayed him all over the ice notching 2 assists of his own and a goal. Better luck next time Eddie. Keep your head up!

<center>GLASS' WINDOWPANE</center>

Most Invisible Player Of The Game

Today's Glass Windowpane of the game goes to the Sebastian Thompson, starting goalie for the Kelowna Knights! The French-Canadian goalie started the game for Kelowna, and was pulled 15 minutes into the first period for letting by four goals on nine shots. This comes out to a 55.6% save percentage and a 16.00 GAA. This stud goalie prevented every shot that he stopped from rebounding, preventing an already bloody massacre from getting any worse. He was only beat by such superstar scorers as Casey Creller (R, 6-13-19), and Mikhail Kapralov (R, 8-6-14). An image of Thompson desperate for the pain to stop is included below:

For showing that sometimes just getting pucks to the net is a legitimate strategy, Sebastian Thompson has been awarded this gorgeous windowpane:

Good evening folks, it's time to award tonight's STX Dominator! Lightning fast hands led Asvard Lyszczarczyk to glory. Lyszczarczyk became a bit of an unsung hero tonight, as he tallied away two assists, two shots, a blocked shot, and zero PIM throughout. His true crowning glory of tonight's performance was his dominance on the faceoff. 18/24 is not a stat you see every day. For those reasons, we raise our glasses to Asvard Lyszczarczyk, tonight's STX Dominator.
