A quick view of the upcoming s55 season
Anaheim Outlaws- The Outlaws will look to make it back to the finals this season after a disappointing loss to Carolina in game 5. The outlaws will likely rely on solid goaltending and strong leadership from veterans Ethan Price and Emilia Bergman and sophmore Ryu Jones. Projected lines Forwards Ryu Jones Rikard Hammarberg Ethan Price Ziggy Tambo Hubert Andrews James Boxman II Rinako Yukikami Grant Thurber “Long” John Donair Thomas Rose Bob Poppinfresh Jonas Muller Defense Emilia Bergman James LeBlond Ulrik Bergstrom Joorgustraad DuBolk Chet Hillier James Brown Anchorage Armada – The armada had a tough season finishing with a 22-23-5 record but exceeded expectations in the playoffs, forcing a game 7 against a tough Kelowna team. A lot of the old guard is coming back this season led by their star center Santtu Rasanen. However, they will need to produce outside of the top line if they want to make a deep playoff run this season. Projected Lines Forwards Chris de Siren Santtu Rasanen Thorbjorn Gunnarson Theo Kondos Cyril Vyskoc Ryan Cvitkovich Turg Turg Taylor Gervais Vladmir Petrov Halldor Ragnarsson Colin Fuhr Slava Petrov Defense Pojo Biscuit Matthew Sawful Bork Lazer Igor Victory Alexei Petrikov Michael Withecheck Carolina Kraken – The defending champs look for the repeat this season as Blunt Man takes the reins as the Krakens’s likely starting goaltender. Carolina will be hard to score on, as they are able to field three solid defensive pairings they can roll throughout the game. Projected Lines Forwards Vitek Vitecek Linus Grimstad Jimmy Wagner Dwight Knight Bobby Bergen Kwame Dakari Panda Panico Stein Nilsen Vincent Wolfe Paddy Kane-Reilly II Aleksander Kozlov Adrian Ayers Defense Alex Foley Ambacas Cuddles Ben van Dijk Conner Hutton Adam Friedland Michael Lee Colorado Raptors – After a first round exit the raptors look to respond with a deep playoff run this season. Expect a breakout season from Lord Raiden who will likely see much more icetime with the departure of fellow center Simothy Drunkenbird. No doubt this will lead to much more offensive production from what we saw last season. Projected Lines Forwards Sven Svenson Jean Ragnarsson-Tramblay Carlos Brown Mack Daddy Lord Raiden Aslepius Flitterwind Hiroshi Ohira Rock Strongo Guomundur Kristjansson William Hunt Josh Dolphin Juni Panda Defense Bradley Barkov Terrence “Big Terry” Smith Anrijs Asts Aumy Jr Bryce Turner Jed Mosley Jr Detroit Falcons - The falcons took the top seeded Beserkers to a game 7 but couldn’t advance to the second round of the playoffs this season. However, their regular season play left a lot to be desired as they finished with a 22-25-3 record. They will look to get above .500 and help their playoff seed this season to try for a deep playoff run. Projected Lines Forwards Zoltan Topalo Edward Williams Burlok Sulfurgold Frederick Wanesly Luke McMaster Zakkira Diporov Yngve Simonsson Taiston Jutila Sammy Blaze Cenek Iqbal Daedalus James Andrew Ionnou Defense Joseph Fantobens Kolja Kekkonen Evangelos Giannoloulos Toki Wartooth Joseph Fantobens Oliver Setzinger Kelowna Knights – The knights had a great regular season led by a high scoring forward line and stingy goaltending. With Kavanaugh being called up to the SHL backup Peter Ramsey will likely take the helm as the Knights’ net minder and will have some very big shoes to fill. Projected Lines Forwards Jaska Seppala Ethan Duncan Simon Takshak Rotticus Scott Rocco Berni Justin Keahi James Hagan Daniel Laforest Theo Golury Patrick Money Viesturs Grabeklis Kynwyl Pearce Defense Teddy Park Chris Goodname Noah Nystrom Devin Williams Mikhael Petrov Fleetway Super Sonic Maine Timber- After a tough season the Timber look to rebound after finishing at the bottom of a tough eastern conference last season. The Timber have a young team with a lot of potential and with the leadership of their veteran d-pair Kalashnikov and Sondergard are poised to make serious comeback. Projected Lines Forwards Kyle Sutton Patrick Shepherd Alexander Oscarson Jesse Seppanen Walton Stromberg Alex Marshall Lucas Johansson Konrad Danke Lucas Hellquist Victor Ball Calvin Hobbes Defense Valentin Kalashnikov Mikkel Asmus Sondergard Adrik Baranov Rikard Bjerg Will Windsor Nathan Thomas Nevada Battleborn- Fresh out of the expansion draft the battleborn are looking to make a name for of themselves in their first season. It may be a couple seasons before we see them start to make deep playoff runs but they have the potential to make a large impact in the future. Projected Lines Forwards Zelma Zuntnere Gavin Wallace James Kimanje Biggs Secksy Alex Reyer Alexis Vermette Chad Danger Raivo Helminen Noah Johns II Mortiz Muller Jimbo Slice Sergei Voskoboynikov Defense Sammy Koa Bane Tanjiro Kamado Leonids Balzams Grandmaster Funk Vili Afalava Newfoundland Berserkers – The Presidents trophy winners came up short in the postseason, losing to Carolina in the second round. A large majority of that team has returned leaving the Berserkers with a lot of forward depth, especially at the center position. Expect them to make another deep playoff run this season. Projected Lines Forwards Steve Harrington Guy LeGrande Ryuuji Minamino Niccolo Livius Mats Marner Andrei Kostitsyn Liam Slate Matthew Forester Patric Twist Mattias Birdstrom Lassi Surhonen Vaseline Podcalzone Defense Jack Klompus Elias Kierkegaard Tinke Jutila Renji Atake PBJ Souppan Jonas Kahnwald Quebec City Citadelles- The second expansion team also shows a lot of promise. The team is full of young talent and will likely be an offensive powerhouse in a season or two. For now much of the offensive weight will fall onto Alexander Roach’s shoulders as he is poised to improve his already impressive point totals from last season. Projected Lines Forwards Ryan Rieley Alexander Roach Zdenko Beranek Tres Sombreros Sven Gunnar Kev Kevens Jonas Caspari Stan Q Next Zach Dolphin Bobov Petrov Jst Maro William Salming Defense Jasper Maximov Teylora Petrov Boris Petrov Max Goodman Julian Cunningham Yuuto Cloudera Jr. St. Louis Scarecrows - The Scarecrows had a tough first round exit in last seasons’ playoffs but have a number of promising players entering their sophomore seasons looking to step into larger roles. Led by two strong defensive pairings, and their two developing netminders, the scarecrows have potential to show significant improvement on defense. Projected Lines Forwards Eric Hudson Grapefruit Lizard Kriss Darkins Juli Schneider Trey Nets Pavel Kharlamov Jeff Nips Cody Spinka Young Logo Brandt Underton Xavier Doom Zbynek Dobrovsky Defense Erben Kasius Elwulf Jericson Colin Lambert Jimmy Dekens Matty David Bud Weiser Vancouver Whalers – The Whalers had a tough season finishing at the bottom of their conference but have nowhere to go but up. In the past two drafts the Whalers have picked up a number of promising young players who will need to make n immediate impact if they are going to help out their Name Redacted who let in 3.32 goals per game despite having a .917 save percentage. Projected Lines Forwards William Hartmann Daniil Nikiforov Bryce McMahon Jason Desrouleaux Wile Coyote Devin Basher Luffy Richard Rikki Petrov KnockedOut ByOvechkin Clint O’Conner Dee Centerman IV Valtterri Kauppinen Defense Slimey Snail Ryosuke Sato Sarah Burke Lonnie O’Donoghue Zebulon Leavitt Jonny Shuffleboard Word Count: 1166 ![]() ![]() Registered Posting Freak ![]() Registered Used to be cool ![]() Registered Lord of Lighting the Lamp |
