A quick view of the upcoming s55 season

Anaheim Outlaws- The Outlaws will look to make it back to the finals this season after a disappointing loss to Carolina in game 5. The outlaws will likely rely on solid goaltending and strong leadership from veterans Ethan Price and Emilia Bergman and sophmore Ryu Jones.

Anchorage Armada – The armada had a tough season finishing with a 22-23-5 record but exceeded expectations in the playoffs, forcing a game 7 against a tough Kelowna team.  A lot of the old guard is coming back this season led by their star center Santtu Rasanen. However, they will need to produce outside of the top line if they want to make a deep playoff run this season.

Carolina Kraken – The defending champs look for the repeat this season as Blunt Man takes the reins as the Krakens’s likely starting goaltender. Carolina will be hard to score on, as they are able to field three solid defensive pairings they can roll throughout the game.

Colorado Raptors – After a first round exit the raptors look to respond with a deep playoff run this season. Expect a breakout season from Lord Raiden who will likely see much more icetime with the departure of fellow center Simothy Drunkenbird. No doubt this will lead to much more offensive production from what we saw last season.

Detroit Falcons - The falcons took the top seeded Beserkers to a game 7 but couldn’t advance to the second round of the playoffs this season. However, their regular season play left a lot to be desired as they finished with a 22-25-3 record. They will look to get above .500 and help their playoff seed this season to try for a deep playoff run.

Nevada Battleborn- Fresh out of the expansion draft the battleborn are looking to make a name for of themselves in their first season. It may be a couple seasons before we see them start to make deep playoff runs but they have the potential to make a large impact in the future.

Quebec City Citadelles- The second expansion team also shows a lot of promise. The team is full of young talent and will likely be an offensive powerhouse in a season or two.
