Task #1
![]() Task #2 In the opening round of the playoffs, the Prince George Firebirds were able to dispose of the Colorado Mammoths in six games. A big reason they were able to do so, was the breakout play of Declan Reilly who registered just 27 points during the regular season and only a single goal. During the six game series, Declan posted nearly a point per game, putting up five assists. The series was a tight one with four of the six games being decided by a single goal, including two overtime contests and the other pair of games being decided by just two goals. With that being said, in such a tight series, you need players to step up and do little things, guys who will get their hands dirty and fight for loose pucks. Guys who will play gritty and do whatever it takes to win and Reilly did just that. Proof of that are his six body checks and six shot blocks in the series, averaging one of each per game. A lot of the work he put in doesn't show up in the scoresheet as well, but without a hard-nosed effort like that from Declan, I don't see the Firebirds coming away with the series win. Code: 207 Words Task #3 ![]() Task #4 "Fire It Up" #BreakATooth #GreenerPastures #Cormier-HaleTheBirds Task #5 Top 5 Bruisers 1. Dani Forsberg ![]() In 10 games played, Forsberg delivered 35 body checks while adding 18 penalty minutes and two shots blocks. All the while, on the receiving end of just eight hits. 2. Yuriy Starkonov ![]() Starkonov sat just five body checks behind Forsberg at 30 while also playing in 10 games. He added 10 penalty minutes and five blocked shots in that span as well, while receiving 12 hits in the process. 3. Roddy Hawkins ![]() Another Falcon on the list, surprise, surprise. In 10 games played, Hawkins delivered 24 hits with 12 minutes in penalties and 11 shot blocks. This warrior for Detroit, was able to avoid all but 15 body check attempts on himself. 4. Isaac Cormier-Hale ![]() This is becoming somewhat of a theme isn't it? Another Prince George player as Cormier-Hale enters at number four on the list with 22 hits, 10 each in the shot blocking department and penaly minutes. Issac also was on the receiving end of 12 body checks. 5. Caelan Fearghal ![]() Here we go again as we finish the list off with yet another Firebird. Fearghal posted 19 hits in his 10 games played to go with 10 penalty minutes and nine shot blocks. Caelan was bumped back quite a bit as well, taking 12 body checks. NOTE: Stats were with the index updated as of game 4 of the conference finals. ![]() Registered S12, S19, S24, S32 Challenge Cup Champion
Task #1- If the Vancouver Whalers had made the playoffs the first one thousand lucky fans would've gotten a very adorable My Little Pony stuffed animal with the Vancouver Whalers colors of the famous blue and green that has graced the Whalers for their entire history and logo. It would even have a voice in the Pony voiced by Tara Strong that says " Playoff Hockey is Magic." which was the proposed slogan for the potential Whalers playoff run. Hopefully next season with all the rookies progressed the Vancouver Whalers will finaly be able to sell all of these adorable My Little Pony Vancouver Whalers stuffed animals.

What kind of impact did that player have on the outcome of the series? Wagner's play was consistent across the entire outing. Facing 7 shots in the first period, he stopped each. Early in the second period, Prince George came out firing and were able to slide one past Wagner as he moved from left to right across his goal crease. That would be the last of the goal scoring for the Birds, as Wagner put them on ice. Saving the remaining 13 shots on goal and allowing St. Louis to capture the victory just 16 seconds into the overtime period. Code: Task #3 - Write a post-game analysis for one of the games that has already been played OR make a post-game infographic for one of the games that has already been played. The chance to capture a Four Star Cup generally comes around once in a players lifetime, twice at most. With the short nature of stays in junior hockey these days, players do not have much time to chase the illusive cup championship victory before heading to the stomping ground of the SHL. Tonight, we bring you a recap of just that, a chance to capture the Four Star Cup. Coming into tonight's matchup, Detroit is riding high leading the series 3 games to 2 in this best of seven series. Winner take all. Detroit gets off to a quick start and peppers the Crows with 15 shots in the first stanza. Going into the break, the Falcons hold a 2-1 lead. In the second period, much of the same. Detroit again comes out and swarms the scarecrows as they pepper Wagner with another 10+ shot period. However, the results do not show up on the score sheet as the game remains with the slimmest of margins, 2-1 Falcons. In the third and final period, the Falcons hold the Scarecrows to just 2 shots on goal. In one of the most dominant performances in recent SMJHL history, the Falcons out shoot the Scarecrows 33 to 9, in a convincing 3-1 game 6 victory to take home the SMJHL's Four Star Cup. What an incredible experience for these young men, as many have their first opportunity to capture the elusive title and they complete it in such dominating and convincing fashion. Congratulations to the S34 Detroit Falcons on a Four Star Cup victory in Game 6. Task #1 - Create a fan giveaway item to be handed out at one of your team's playoff games (can be a rally towel, foam finger, bobble head, etc.)
Requirements: WRITTEN: Write a 100 word blurb about the item, including details on the game where the item will be given out. or GRAPHIC: Include a picture of the item and at least one SMJHL logo; must look like you at least kinda tried. Our fan giveaway item is a tissue box with Raiders themed tissues, the premise behind it is the lack of playoffs we have given the Raiders faithful this season, and therefore the tissues can be used to wipe up any and all tears that fall. Limited quantities are available due to the manufacturing costs of creating said tissues, as well, it has been rumored management has made budget cuts to fan stuff in order to create a team next year that can actually put the puck on the net and maybe even in the net. Task #2 - Write a brief player highlight featuring a breakout player from one of the first round games. What kind of impact did that player have on the outcome of the series? Requirements: At least 200 words. Must include at least two stats. Task #3 - Write a post-game analysis for one of the games that has already been played OR make a post-game infographic for one of the games that has already been played. Requirements: At least 250 words for written / at least 4 stats featured in at least 2 different ways for graphics (bar graphs, pie graphs, list of names, etc) DETROIT VS MONTREAL MILITIA, WE SKIP TO THE FIRST PERIOD OF PLAY, Visa Prehumen walks into the zone, he drops it to Markie and BING off the post, picked up by Markov, who back to Prehumen and the Militia are on the board within the first minute of the game, as you see Bob, just tremendous pressure early on by the Militia which allow for a close chance, but the vision of Markov really shows how dynamic of a player he is, which gives the Militia the lead. Now into the 12-minute mark, Hansen winds up with a shot and fake shoot and elects to pass to Lindstrom who buries that baby in the net, again, excellent patience and awareness by the Militia who really winna take this game away. Now into the second period, Brandon Gauthier on the powerplay launches a BOMB BING BANG BOOM BACK OF THE NET baby and it is 2-1, just excellent shooting by the Falcons and they really needed that. Now into the third period, Slander walks in and fires a wrister over the shoulder of Prince and the Falcons tie the game up, but just seconds after the falcons score yet another one as Rossi the goat passed over the Strabane who buries his first of the playoffs and JUST LIKE THAT FOLKS WE HAVE A WINNER CHICKEN FUCKING DINNER. Falcons win, game over, lets go for a fucking hot dog after that. One win away from the finals man the Falcons must be a happy bunch. Task #4 - Come up with a playoff slogan for your team and a hashtag for three players on the team. RaidersDontMakePlayoffs #FourFourisGoat #McKenzieScores #EveryoneisInactive Task #5 - Make a top 5 list for the finals. Top 5 goals, top 5 players, top 5 noteworthy people in the audience for one of the games, whatever you want. No word count, but if you just list 5 names, you won't get the full 2 tpe. Be a little creative. Here were noteworthy fans in the stands of the Whalers recent home game 1. Jordin FourFour - the ex WHALERS STAR was in attendance 20 seasons after he led the team to a cup victory. hoping for a repeat i presume. 2. Jordan Hall - Hall was the ex-gm of the Whalers a long time ago and he was also seen in his classic suite watching his junior team play 3. Blowjob Jesus - Buddy was in the stands blowing every opposing fans in hopes to turn them into a Whalers fan 4. Miikka Kiprusoff - Ripping darts and snorting lines of coke behind the players bench, Kipper really is living the retired life 5. Warren Buffett - rumor has it he was deciding on whether to invest into the SHL and make it something bigger... guess not.

Task #1:
At each of the first round games that PGF played, they handed out little spray bottles of breath freshener that came with limited edition decals of Frankie the Phoenix, the Official Mascot of the Prince George Firebirds. Both the breath freshener and the decals were labeled with the official S34 slogan "Breath Fire into the Fight!" and had Four Star Cup branding making them official merch for the playoffs. Larger quantities of the freshener were immediately also available for sale in the team store at the arena. The breath freshener was cinnamon flavored, and many a fan commented on it's "unusually spicy qualities." Unsurprisingly, the freshener didn't sell during or post game to the desired figures, and likely won't be making a repeat as a Cup giveaway in S35. Task #3: FLAME ON #FeartheFearghal #BeagleTimeAllTheTime #DannyTheFuckingDoor Task #5: Best Post-Season Powerplay Ballads 5. Nordheim - Raining Fire -- with lyrics like these "flying to the encounter/tell me what you feel/certain death is coming/the end is near!" the Firebirds blasted off into their PP minutes, heralding two separate instances of point conversion in the playoffs, and can you blame them? Viking metal really gets the blood going. 4. RUN DMC - It's Tricky -- it might indeed be "tricky to rock a rhyme, to rock a rhyme that's right on time" but that's sure as shoot what Detroit did again and again when given the opportunity on their powerplays, helping them along down the road to this season's Four Star Cup. 3. Kanye West - Power -- Mr. West wisely speaks of how "no one man should have all that power," albeit with deep irony and much hubris, both of which the St. Louis Scarecrows appreciated as that song led them to some sick dangles and dirty back-door snipes on the powerplay this season. 2. Eduard Khil - I Am Very Glad, Because I Am Finally Returning Back Home -- An odd choice, perhaps, but even without intelligible lyrics, the pep this tune put int the step of the Colorado Mammoths, conversely right after scoring goals on the powerplay instead of at the start of the penalty like most of our other selections, was undeniable. Unfortunately, their Four Star Cup efforts weren't nearly as hearty. 1. Modells - Gotta Go to Mos -- Pretty sure this isn't a powerplay song, but it's what was stuck on repeat every time the Halifax Raiders tried to convert penalties during their "Battle for First OA" series with Vancouver. It didn't inspire them to much of anything, and they were swept under the rug. GG Raiders, better luck next season boys. ![]() Registered i was wrong about sea of thieves 2018 Quote:Originally posted by Sapiens@Jun 1 2017, 08:06 PM ![]() Registered Member Quote:Originally posted by CRUTCHFIELD@Jun 1 2017, 07:12 PM wtf apparently I had a seizure writing this, that's fine, i'm appropriately ashamed of myself |
