I do get the whole Discord talk, it's just too much to keep track of unless you just stay on it all day, when it was just forums you could get a good recap after work or something like that. I do miss that.

if you have there members in the discord team server (called LR) they never ever was part of the team ..... then they shouldnt be there! if so then only as alumni ... why?
the member could be convinced because of that and decide to want out of an other team or easily leave an other team via Free Agency! why?
because he know already the team and see there are no fights or attack against/with him!
all in all is that for me very aggressive convincing of other players = tampering!
if you have alumnis listed as alumnis ... that is legit because the main channels should be available for them! that isnt a private chat room ... that are the official TEAM LR and there should only be on the roster players + prospects + alumnis! nothing more!
here in the forum it isnt possible to have member on the Team LR if they arent on the team and that with a reason! for that a seperate Discipline Committee could work on it! loyal and honestly members (one per team) who looking at those cases! that isnt good and shouldnt be allowed in my opinion!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Oh come off it. Discord has the ability to give people roles so they do and don't have access to certain channels in a server. If you want to have a gaming Channel where people from other places in the league have access to and that's it then fine whatever. Don't come in here yelling me that people of opposing teams should not be able to be friends with eachother, this league has enough toxic seperation enough

I largely agree with (and this might be a first) McZ on this one. People that talk dismissively or contemptuously regarding STHS are not helping the situation. Shitting on the sim engine we've used very successfully for fifty seasons, whether its because you want to promote the switch to FHM or some other, personal reason counterproductive and unwise. Anything that tends to invalidate or belittle the league's long and proud history is hurting us at a time when we can ill afford it.

I agree with this. Everything on the site has been super negative and whinny since the offseason. All the stuff is STH sucks, which is not entirely wrong but things were phrased in a way in which it became "STH is fucked so im out". Its fine if thats your reason to leave, cool but i dont think the whole site cares and the ones who do you can tell in your own discord. That stuff just makes the entire forum a negative place to be and truthfully, i wanted nothing to do with this place over the holidays due to that.
As far as the promoting FHM stuff, we can do a better job there for sure. Both in how we phrase things and how we share and how much we share with the site. I hope we do better as things progress, but the way we interact on here about it can and should be better.

I don't think there's any reason to discredit the long history of the league. It's just that it kind of ended at S50 in my heart. The flaws that were exposed this past offseason are very serious, and make it hard to care about a league using STHS anymore. That doesn't take away from the history the league built up over 50 seasons. It's that history that makes this all so much more frustrating. In my opinion though, the fingers should be pointed at the people who insisted on exploiting this flaw, and not the people who are upset with the fallout. I'm with you though on the history of the league, and preserving that, but I think there is room to criticize STHS without bad mouthing the SHL.

two different things! you talking about SMJHL there can players be drafted but not resigned or something else! also there are many player(alumnis) from many different teams! that are two totally different things! I talk here about SHL! there we talk about players with an average career of 11-13 seasons and not max 2-5 season in the SMJHL with different member of different teams! DAMMIT

let me do this scenario because the most only see if they are involved!
if a team would invite a player from VAN (SMJHL) or HAM (SHL) and this player isnt an alumni or something else ... he like it in that LR and decide to want to be there .... is that convincing? is that hurting the other team?
Because the player could like it personally so much that he want out of the other team or easily have a FA destination .... right?
would this player/member have the same situation without being tampered in a LR there he never should be on? I dont believe so!
back to the topic .... SHL FORUM ... why no member who isnt currently on the roster can be in the LR? let us say .... MIN player but send down Daniel Bischoff ... why he isnt on the VAN LR and never would be? maybe it would be tampering because he has nothing to do there? or do you believe its a joke? maybe too many believe the SHL is a joke? idk

Yes, we know that many things about STHS are crap, but shitting on it every opportunity you get and gleefully talking about how everything is broken beyond repair and how the league will never work properly again and how it has always sucked anywy isn't helping anyone. It just contributes to the frustration and makes it a self-fulfilling prophecy.
