@BDonini and @nykonax are nominated for this award for the turnaround Anaheim pulled from S51 to S52, where they increased their point total from 48 points to 60 points, good from a jump from 8th to fourth in the league, 1 point behind the league leaders. Although not taken into consideration, Anaheim then had a dominant playoffs, finishing with a playoff record of 12-3. Congrats to donini and nyko for the nom!
Second nominee is @hhh81 and @NONAME of the Colorado Raptors. Colorado had a similar turnaround to Anaheim, going from 7th in the league with 48 points, to a tie for first in the league with 61 points, good for a 13 point jump. However, Colorado finished third due to teibreakers, which turned out to be unfortunate for them as they ran into a good St. Louis team that had underperfomred in the regular season. Congrats on the nom! Lastly, our third nominee is @notorioustig @nour of the Detroit Skree-birds, who again, had a massive season over season improvement, thanks in part to an excellent, huge, and nosiy rookie class. Detroit went from 9th to 1st, a 15 point improvement, and have created an excellent LR culture apparently, as seen by the number of active, high TPE-earners in this rookie class they drafted. Congrats tig and nour for the nom!

Following the presentation of the Mathias Chouinard Award - Top GM Duo, we will be presenting the Quilha Agante Trophy - Best Defenseman. This will be up to @DaftRaincloud ! Here are our nominees for this year:
@Ferda Augustus Wang (ANC) The Big Wanger, noted SHL Kush dealer, had a great season for a middling Anchorage team, finishing second in shots blocked, fourth in points with 44, and finished as a plus player. @kuschy Daniel Kuster (COL) Kuster was tied for the lead in all defenceman scoring, with 48 points, and was a hugely positive two-way presence for the defensive minded Raptors, finishing as a +15 for the defensive minded Raptors. Kuster even tied the SMJHL assist record, held by yours truly and I think Jagger Fouquette, with 39 assists in 50 games. @twerkin4jesus Flash Gordon (STL) Flash Gordon was the #1 defenceman on a team with a bunch of rookie defenseman, and she played nearly 24 minutes a game. Gordon was strong defensively and offensively, not afraid to throw the body with 80 hits, and contributing 45 points.

Congrats to the following players for being nominated for most underrated player:
@MP7 Alexander Wachter (CAR) Wachter was 5th on Carolina in scoring, but lead them in +/- and game-winning goals, showing he is a responsible, clutch two-way player that may not get the same recognition the other elite Carolina players received. Congrats on a great season and for the nom! @Esso2264 Simothy Drunkebird (COL) Drunkebird played a style of hockey that was used to describe the Raptors this past season, responsible, hard-nosed defensive hockey. Drunkebird was an elite defensive force, playing huge PK minutes, and winning nearly 60% of his faceoffs, a Raptor record. Congrats to this 1OA draft pick for the Onoprienko nom! @JMacNCheese JMac N Cheese (DET) Mr. Kraft Dinner here was a huge presence in helping keep his rookie Falcons active, being a vocal and engaging leader in the locker room. He was the veteran presence on a young second line, taking it in stride that he would have to help develop these players, and was rewarded with an excellent season. Congrats on your nomination! @Capt_Blitzkrieg Danny Marston (STL) The last candidate for the Onoprienko Trophy is a person I am quite familiar with, having spent the previous couple of seasons with Blitz as Scarecrow teammates. Blitz is a hugely vocal LR presence, always willing to help rookies, and was our top line center this past season. He was crucial to our success this season, and although didn’t put up eye-popping statistics, deserves recognition for his game. Congrats on the nominee!
