Detroit couldn't beat St. Louis when it matters and haven't been able to beat St. Louis when it matters since S40, but here they manage to edge out the Crows to receive the Onoprienko Trophy.

Seriously though, Goodman had an incredible season that was worlds better than even his closest competitors, as he sported a 0.905 save %, and a 2.58 GAA, compared to second and third place vote-getters, Bebitzhanov and Doyle, who rocked a 0.892 save percentage, second in the league, and a 2.83 GAA, while Doyle was at 0.888 save percentage, and a 2.84 GAA. If preseason sims are any indication however, Doyle should be a heavy favourite for the Corcoran this season, as Detroit once again couldn't beat her today.

Next is the Zach Miller Trophy - Most Dedicated Player.

This year's Miller Trophy had a loaded field, and produced one of the closest votes we saw this season.

Our nominees this season are:

@notoriousTRON Rhys Pritchard (ANA)
Pritchard is the new co-commish of IIHF, a job that I definitely don’t envy, especially dealing with federation heads like @Blastmeaway and @Gwdjohnson. Dealing with those guys would be a massive headache. Additionally, the change to FHM will be a tough one for Tron to deal with, yet he still managed to find time to partake in PBPs and other activities on site. Congrats on the nom!

@Mutedfaith Cal Labovitch (DET)
Mutedfaith has become the top earner from his class, and is consistently involved with whatever is going on on the site. Being a SMJHL HO Intern is a job that is hugely important and requires lots of patience, dealing and approving a bunch of new players that aren’t sure of what they are doing. Muted is always active, always pleasant, and always engaged, congrats on the nom!

@roastpuff Magnus Liljestrom (DET)
Roastpuff is another one of those active Detroit rookies, and was even picked 1st overall in the recent SHL draft. This rookie is also an intern for SMJHL HO, so deals with similar stuff to muted on the front lines of the SHL. Roastpuff has put out a huge number of good, interesting articles, including doing the Winter Classic PBP, and is a deserving nominee for the Miller Trophy.

@RedCapeDiver Adam Scianna (KEL)

Our final nominee is Scianna, out of Kelowna. This S52 player has become Budget Director for the SMJHL, is active in doing PBPs, went ahead and created the Player Analyze sheet 2.0, and has done a number of other things on the site as well, including opening his own sig shop, being a WJC GM, and more. Scianna is a worthy candidate for the Miller Trophy, and has been a great addition to the site.
