they’re phenomenal, I honestly could have put any of their albums. They really don’t have any songs I don’t like, and they are SO GOOD live. Probably the band I’m most looking forward to seeing again once the plague is dealt with.

Honestly my favorite album changes pretty much every week, but this week it’s a brand new live album from Dance Gavin Dance.

https://open.spotify.com/album/5k9GQVFRU...43Opbgyfrw

If it’s your first time listening to DGD maybe check out Acceptance Speech 2.0

https://open.spotify.com/album/5ZTEOJ5by...hmTtK1OpIQ

Dance Gavin Dance is my all time favorite artist. I’ve gone through phases with hundreds of artists in the past but after listening to their library it begins to bore me. The complexity of DGDs sound keeps it fresh even after dozens of listens.

If I had to describe their sound, I’d have to go with a progressive math rock/metal with a pop funk fusion. There’s so many different sounds they’ve had over the years and it’s always unique. I hope you enjoy!

This is super, super hard to do. Historically, based on playthroughs, my favorite album is probably Metallica's "Ride the Lightning", but for the purposes of this exercise, I think I need to go with Carpenter Brut's "Trilogy". All 18 tracks, obviously, despite the fact that it's designed as 3 records, each with 6 tracks (ie, 666). The whole thing is on Youtube, but I highly recommend, after listening to the album, going back and watching the videos for "Turbo Killer" and "Escape from Midwich Valley".

First post on this site...can't pass up this thread! I'm a pretty big music guy and love the older bits.

For me, The Dark Side of the Moon is the greatest album of all time. Listening to the album is audio equivalent to watching a movie. At the time, the metronomic sounds used by the band were unheard of. It's an iconic album that has stood the test of time. Love everything about it.

Side note, I wouldn't recommend experimenting with mushrooms while listening to this album.
