Hi, I'm Mutedfaith and I'm from the Netherlands. I'm 36 years old, work as a business support manager for a corporate services provider and thus spent most of my day either staring at a computer, on the phone, cursing at someone over compliance issues or a combination of those. I've been married for 10 years, no kids but we do have 4 cats and 3 dogs. We're both huge Disney fans, so we try to visit Disneyland Paris whenever we can.
I spent my non-summer (and non-covid fml) weekends reffing the Beneleague, which is the top Belgian-Dutch hockey league and get to take trips to IIHF tournaments to ref as well. I also play in a beer league team together with my dad, 2 brothers and sister-in-law. Unfortunately our regional league, which had Dutch, Belgian and German teams, collapsed a few years ago, so we're just playing exhibition games and tournaments nowadays.
When not doing any of the above, or doing SHL stuff, I watch Netflix, play videogames and waste time on online nation sim games.

Hey, I'm still fairly new user Asked Madden. I came to the SHL by way of the ISFL our Football affiliate. I have never actually watched a single game of hockey, though I definitely want to get into it having watched a number of highlight packages.
The main reason I haven't gotten into hockey before this is that I'm Scottish. Its difficult to find any games on in Scotland without paying through the nose for some premium channels. I have chosen the San Jose Sharks as my team to root for, not through any affiliation to San Jose but because I googled NHL teams without a Stanley Cup. I want to be their when (if) they win a cup. And has been how I chose my NFL team a number of years ago - the Arizona Cardinals, so you could say I'm used to disappointment in sport.
In real life I play rugby for a top tier amateur side and can't wait to get back to it post covid. I've had an unlucky few years with rugby: dislocating a finger so badly I can't PC game anymore, breaking my thumb in a place where it has destabilised it and splitting my eyebrow open so I now look like I have two right eyebrows.
I have a wife, a 15 month old daughter and two very cute but very annoying cats who's names, Remus and Tonks (pictured below) reveal that I'm a bit of a Harry Potter nerd.
Aside from that I love reading fantasy, playing FPS games (badly) and cooking. Sim leagues appear to have taken over my life recently, but I feel that may be the same as an awful lot of you!
On top of all of the above I am a keen cook. Whilst I don't make anything fancy my repertoire has come a long way from cheesy pasta. I love a lot of the Scottish "clichés" haggis is great, irn bru is the nectar of gods, Kilts should be the lower clothing of choice every day, not just for functions, and all weddings should have an accompanying Ceilidh. There is also nothing better than a couple of sea shanties to kick the day off!!

I’ve always enjoyed hockey, alongside American football, and ‘proper’ football, but have all the grace and balance of bambi on ice, so have never pursued playing it in any way, although I regret that now! Well hello there
My names Retuperkele or Retu, however it fits in your mouth better. Im in my mid 20s and I work as a chef with little under 4 years of experience under my belt.
The funniest thing that happened in my life was when I was 6 and during summer I jumped off a swing and broke my elbow pretty bad in the landing. It was first weeks of the summer and I had to spend the rest of that summer with my arm in a cast. Needless to say it was pretty painful to see other kids in the neighbourhood play and stroll around when youre pretty much disabled to do any of those activities myself. I got it off a week before I started school, so my parents had to make up the whole summer for me in a mere week, with great success.
My hobbies include lifting heavy things, exercising had been my go-to anger management therapy for years and Im not gonna stop anywhere soon. It also did help me to lose a bunch of weight, almost 100lbs (which translates to roughly 45kilos) and whenever im not lifting at the gym, im either trying to master nashville style hot chicken for my future business or just doing stuff with my dachshund puppy. Shes almost 7months old and right after my SO, the best bitch in the world. Most common thing that people should know about me is that im an caffeine addict ever since I first tasted coffee at like 11 years of age.
