I tuned in on the Toronto North Stars & Manhattan Rage playoff game on day 5, both teams that I’ve played for in the past so a game I was really excited to catch. This was my first time watching a stream on YouTube on the new index. The game started pretty slow, the Toronto North Stars netted the first goal and were completely out shooting the Rage in the first period. The second period the Stars turned up the pressure around the net even more, with 5 minutes in the second period left the shots in the game were 27-12. However at the 3 minute mark the the Rage finally got on the board 1-1. Not even a minute later the Stars clapped back taking the lead back to 2-1. 10 minutes into the 3rd period the Stars hit the back of the net again eventually taking the W (3-1) with shots 40-17. Tasks:
4. Complete a PT SMJHL Playoff Bracket 5. Crate a Graphic Rookie Task Graphic 7. Watch an SMJHL stream The SMJHL stream that I watched was the S58 Round 1 Game 3 Playoff Stream. This streamed on March 16, 2021 and the matchups were as follows. Maine Timbers vs Newfoundland Berserkers, St. Louis Scarecrows vs Anchorage Armada, Carolina Kraken vs Vancouver Whalers, and Anaheim Outlaws vs Colorado Raptors. The stream started with VAN vs CAR where the Kraken took an early 2-0 lead before the whalers finally put one on the board in the 2nd. However CAR held on for the win. The next game was ANA vs COL the game was tied 1-1 at the end of the first and it stayed tight all the way until late in the 3rd when the Raptors took a 2-1 lead. Following that game ANC and STL squared off in an offensive show down where 3 goals were scored in the first 10 minutes of the game before things started to calm down and the Scarecrows took the win 3-1. The final game that I watched was the MET vs NLB. It was an extremely fun game because my player Duncan The Walrus was playing in it. After a hard fought game though the TImbers lost 3-1. Overall, it was a very enjoyable stream! Code: 203 words Graded! Three more tasks for $3 million, just one to go @SouthPaw

The Colorado Raptors simply played an amazing game! There’s no other way to put it. The final score was 3-2, as they beat Quebec City. It’s impressive enough considering the magnitude of this game and series. To win the quarterfinals game 5 is just absolutely massive for the Colorado Raptors franchise. It’s also a tough blow for Quebec, who had an amazing season and series to this point. Quite a miracle when you think about it- the Raptors allowed 38 shots, only made 22, but ended up scoring more despite the total disadvantage in the shots column. Analytics would tell you the Raptors did not deserve to win, and maybe they didn’t, but the end result shows they were simply the better team, and on this night, game 5 of the quarter finals, it was clear that the Colorado Raptors were the superior team. Congrats to the Raptors on a well played game. (161 words) Graded! Stream Watched: S58 SHL Playoffs - Day 10Code: 7. Watch an SHL or SMJHL stream on YouTube Game 1: Hamilton @ Texas With Texas down 3-1 in the series, this was a must win game at their home arena. As expected, with only 7 minutes left in the first period the game was extremely equal with Hamilton only leading Texas in shots on goal by 1, 9-8. At a shot on goal disadvantage, with 14 minutes remaining in the second period Alexander Wachter scored to give Texas the crucial 1-0 lead. The next goal came with 13 seconds left in the period as Kaarlo Kekkonen scored to put Texas at a comfortable 2-0 lead. With 16 minutes left in the 3rd, Texas scored their 3rd goal, seemingly putting the game out of reach for Hamilton. However, Hamilton was not done. With 2:20 left in the final period, Hamilton pulled out a goal giving them life. However, although they did score again with 26 seconds left in the period, Texas held on to win and hopefully begin their comeback down 3-2 going into a huge game 6. Game 2: Buffalo @ Toronto Buffalo is up 3-1 in the series and is looking to close Toronto out and advance in the playoffs. With their first shot on goal of the game, Toronto scored a goal only 3 minutes into the first period. From that point, Buffalo would dominate the shots on goal, even quadrupling Toronto’s at one point. However just like earlier, with only their 4th shot on goal Toronto scored again with 3 minutes left in the first period. With 10 minutes left in the 2nd period, Buffalo answered with a goal making the score 2-1. At this point, Buffalo was ahead in shots on goal 29-8 yet still down by a goal. Toronto continued to take advantage of their spare opportunities. With their 10th shot on goal they scored again to make it 3-1 with 7 minutes left in the second period. At the end of the period there was a flurry of goals as the game would go into the period with Toronot ahead 4-2. Buffalo was still ahead in shots on goal 35-16. In the final period, it was mostly a stalemate but Toronto ended up scoring with less than a minute left to bring the final score to 5-2. Buffalo might have led shots on goal 44-25, but Toronto was more accurate and took better advantage of their scoring opportunities. Toronto moves to 3-2 and like Texas, looks to force a game 7. S58 SMJHL Finals Game 5Code: 7. Watch an SHL or SMJHL stream on YouTube Up 3-1 in the series, Quebec City Citadels came out of the game strong, stomping their first goal by Tres Sombreros into the net of the Armada. Quebec continued to dominate with 8 shots on goal in the first 5 minutes and two goals. The second goal scored by the top line featuring the QCC star Mew Two. Quebec would have a couple of opportunities to score near the end, but kept the lead 2-0 with the shots being an incredible 14-4 by the end of the period. Anchorage would come out of the gate looking revitalized with a couple of shots; however this was short lived as another two goal period opening from the Citadels. While Anchorage did put more pressure on the great goaltender in Mat Smith, it was not enough and the Citadels ended the period up 4-0. The period shot count ended in a whopping 29-16 lead for Quebec. The Third slowed down for Quebec as they played defensively diving in front of shots with Anchorage getting few chances themselves. Opportunity then sprang as Jst Maro scored another goal making the lead incredibly 5-0 with around 13 mins left. All wind seemed lost from the sails of the visiting Armada as a six goal was scored with just over nine minutes left by Mikeal Koskinen. The Citadels would win the game 6-0 with a shot total of 41-21. Bjorn Jakobsen was the star player for Quebec with a goal and going +3. There was also an incredible performance from 1st star Mat Smith in net with the 27 save shutout. Tres Sombreror and Salming would both take the 2nd and 3rd stars respectively for Quebec with a couple of points each. (290 words) Code: Code: 8.
