I think this is the year the Las Vegas Golden Knights finally win the Cup. They look really strong this season, and it's clear that the expansion rules really helped them, and a lot of dumb GMs traded away good young players in order to protect older players, which ended up biting them in the ass (Looking at your Anaheim - trading away my beloved Shea Theodore), I think they will face the -- oh wait you wanted SHL Predictions? Something something LOLHAMILTONWINS is probably going to happen... again.

Is it terrible to say Hamilton? It's the safe bet, and this season has shown that even after they lost Michael Scarn, they are still the team to beat in the SHL.

The obvious answer is Hamilton, but I want to go with a different choice. I think Texas will win it all this season, they have the talent to pull it off and seeing a different winner other than the usual suspects would be great for the entire SHL.

Hamilton Steelhawks are looking to go for a repeat cup win this season. They're by and far the best team in the league and have poised themselves to make a push into the playoffs long term.

Registered Not A Weeb Quote:We're nearing the end of the season, so let's get our prediction hats on! Based on what you've seen so far, but keeping in mind the playoffs are a whole different animal than the regular season: who do you think is the favorite to win the Cup? The great lakes are an absolute dominant force right now. So it is hard to dismiss any of the teams in that division, as the four teams are also the top 4 in the league. Texas and Calgary are also knocking on the door chasing the great lakes. One of these teams will likely see the cup at the end of the tournament. im gonna win the cup. Ask anyone from the micool fan club and they will tell you im gonna win the cup. Ragnar is a strong believer and his trust is not misplaced. The raptors are gonna win the cup, and the inferno too. they are good teams with lots of exceptional players.

Given that Hamilton has the leader in wins, the leader in goals, and the leader in points, I would assume that they would be the favorites to win the cup. However, there's always some randomness in sims, so it's never a sure shot for them to win.

SMJHL HO PEANUT!
There's first the obvious contenders that seem to go every season: Buffalo and Hamilton. However this time around, with Toronto having a solid run and Texas having their fantastic season, I can't help but feel that it will come down to one of these four choices instead of the usual two. With that being said, I'm going to go with the underdog here and root for Toronto as the cup favorite.

The Kelowna Knights have to be the favorites for the four-star. While not quite as good defensively as last season they've been absolutely dominant on offense scoring 4.17 g/gm. For reference Anchorage is 2nd with 3.7 g/gm. And they're still leading the J in GA btw.

The favorite team to win the Cup should still be the team that went 19 and 0 at the beginning of the season. Despite a few struggles after that, a team that can manage that is the most likely to succeed in winnning another 16 games in a row to win the Cup.

I have to go with the North Stars here. Mika Kandinsky is playing some great hockey, and you can't count us out with Carpy in net. I think we're taking it down this season!

Someone from the Great Lakes, probably either Hamilton or Buffalo because they are the most complete team at the moment. Remember when parity was a thing? I don't. Stop being good smh.

The Challenge Cup favorite this season to me has to be the Buffalo Stampede. They made a big trade which added to already talented group. I think they probably end up in the finals at minimum in my opinion.

I think Hamilton is sufficiently battle tested as far as roster quality and strategic acumen goes to be considered the odds on favourite for another Cup, but you can't sell the other Great Lakes contenders short. After all, Hamilton does lose random meme games, and the likes of Chicago/Buffalo/Toronto from whoever gets in will provide stern opposition.
