This season, the thing I'm looking forward to most is settling into the Edmonton locker room properly, as a player, and really getting a feel for my fellow rookies and how we're going to build the future core of this Blizzard team. Being a rookie is being a rookie. You're not going to have a crazy outstanding rookie season and be an impact player right away; that just doesn't happen in this league. It's just part of the game. If I can crack ten goals this season I'll be over the moon, but I'll settle for not being a total liability. Right now, it's all about settling in for the long, long haul to actually getting good. Some playoff success would be nice, but even if that comes it won't be because of anything I had to do with it. What comes there, comes. What matters is settling in and getting on that grind.

We're back at it again in Le Belle Province! The offseason wasn't as exciting as it could have been - but that isn't necessarily a bad thing. Aksel Fiske was taken first overall by Manhattan and keeps earning like a crazy person, and he talked me up enough that they caved and took me at 24. We're both at the cap for this upcoming season so the expectations are high, the Citadelles have only lost two players while everyone else has taken a big step forward. I think we're a better team than we were last season, Stan got called up to Montreal so Greyson Cooper lost a solid linemate, it remains to be seen if he'll produce at the record breaking clip that he did last season - but Selich has exploded for 10 points in seven preseason games so it's looking good. Fiske and I are both seeing more responsibility and special teams time and are primed for a breakout, and we added a couple solid rookies who are already making themselves at home in the locker room. We've always seen ourselves as contenders and that hasn't changed in the slightest. We expect to have a serious shot at the cup and won't settle for less.

I wanted to see how our team did the grizzlies because I'm new and I think that we did well with our picks and our free agents. I think that there will be no drama because I am actually linking my team and I think that I'm willing to stay if need be. I think that we will try to stay the same to but if not I'm not going to fault the gms for doing that. I think we have gelled we are helping other players out as well as making sure we feel welcomed and making the rookies feel awesome. I think that if drama is going to happen it would be to move someone away to make sure that they are getting time and help with upgrading player. But I don't think it is worth it at this point everybody is earning and everyone is liking it here so this off season we stayed the same and that rocks. I feel like this is an awesome put together team that should stay together and forever but sometimes we do go to the pros and that's okay that means we have improved and that is awesome overall. 206 words ![]() Registered S7, S23 Challenge Cup Champion ![]() Fantasy League Manager Posting Freak

The Pride had a very productive offseason. We were able to completely switch out three roster players for higher TPE equivalents at the cost of a few future picks. This offseason was a big push for San Francisco, who now have the 7th highest average TPE of all teams, their highest rank by far in recent seasons. At center, Deadalus James left the team and was replaced by Marco Barengrub. While this didn't make much of a difference in terms of TPE, James is an inactive user, while Barengrub is active and earning at the top of his class. This increase in activity will be priceless as time goes on. On the wing, we traded away up-and-comer Greg Davies for Jack Klompus who is just about to reach his prime. This will hopefully have an enormous impact on the top line this season with three players near or above 2k TPE. Finally on defense, we said goodbye to our favourite Sardangian Narboza Manyhands in order to welcome a respected league veteran in Parker Smeb who is a full four seasons older than our second oldest roster player. He'll bring some much needed leadership and playoff experience to this young Pride team looking to turn some heads this season. ![]() Registered Patron Saint of the SMJHL

With the announcement of THE GAME, The SHL technological department has attracted the attention of the Czech Security Information Service and State Security. In the ever demanding pursuit of IIHF gold, the Czech's will stop at nothing in order to defeat their opponents, and THE GAME offers a unique opportunity. With the consciousnesses of dozens of professional players, superstars and legends all in one place, the opportunity to acquire the metadata of these cerebral "photo copies" is far too appealing for the Czech intelligence services to pass up, and with it, further the Czech's super soldier program in making the greatest hockey player of all-time. Agent Petr Svoboda has been chosen to take part in the program, as a part of the Up-and-Comers team. His teammates are not the focus, but rather the Superstars, Grizzled Vets, and the Hall-of-Famers are ripe with surely useful data to steal. The rosters have yet to be announced, but should just a few big names like Mitchell van der Heijden, Martijn Westbroek, and Theo Morgan, not to mention hall of famers such as VLAD McZehrl, Carter O'Callahan, and Jay McDonald be added to the database, our agents simply must get a hand on the project and wrest it from under the league. With regards to this, Petr has been given the resources to learn more about the physical facilities that may have house the hardware which contains THE GAME and as well as being given the permission to pursue any means to ensure our operation succeeds. It's the first day of practice for the Up-And-Comers team for the all-time ultimate SHL tournament. The odds are stacked against them to take the title, but they're dead set on giving every team out there a run for their money. Mostly comprising the team are current members of the Los Angeles Panthers who are in the S56 draft class. "Long" John Donair, who's shown promise especially last season alongside Jimmy Wagner on the first line, will be on one wing. Rock Strongo, 2nd place in the class by TPE, will be taking face-offs at center; he's new to Los Angeles but certainly not new to his rising star title. Also a new addition to LAP this season, Sarah Burke, will be behind those two at left defense. The TPE class leader (by a MILE), Jonas Kahnwald, will line up next to Burke. Rounding out our 5-person lineup will be none other than Grape Fruit. An all-LAP lineup of 5 - pretty incredible, if you think about it. They also all belong on this team as they have all recently surpassed 1500 TPE and are ready to take things in Los Angeles to the next level! ![]() Historian
Prompt 1:
Even though I've already played three full seasons in the SHL, I'd like to consider myself as a younger player, especially since I haven't reached any of the milestones I'd like to achieve before hitting regression. It would seem that the game sees me the same way, as much to my delight (and a little bit of relief and surprise), it placed me on the up-and-comers team. Well sort of, the game must have noticed that I was at my best playing in the best tandem in the SMJHL, so the legendary Tyler Ward was selected alongside me to split starts. It really is a smart game, since the whole lineup is made up of former QCC stars. Up front, it may seem strange at first choosing three right wings to be your forwards, but when you look at the names it all makes sense. Chosen to be the right winger is the legendary Zdenko Beranek, who has a Fallah, Lindsay, and Martucci trophy under his belt. On the left side is left shot William Salming, often an unsung hero of the team, and centering them is Kev Kevens, who is the best of the three at faceoffs. On defense is arguably the best pairing in QCC history, Teylora Petrov and Jasper Maximov. This was a very tight knit group from when they all entered the SMJHL in Season 55 for the expansion Citadelles (save for Ward who joined the team a season later) all the way up to when they left Quebec City for their respective SHL teams right after winning the Four-Star Cup in Season 58 (except Teylora, who got called up after Season 57, and Ward after Season 59), so when we all saw each other for the first time in a long time it was like no time had passed, each of us were joking around with each other, reminiscing about our days in QCC, and talking about our time so far in the SHL. Nobody ever said it, but we all knew that we were the underdogs going into this tournament, especially before we found out who our teammates would be. Once we saw each other's faces, though, all of our doubts were immediately washed away. We were fired up, ready to take on the first team in the tournament. ![]() Registered bank4lyfe
Prompt 2
Well, my team changed completely, because I got called up, but I suppose I'll talk a little about them both. With Vancouver Whalers, we just won the cup, quite dominantly to be honest and.. That's cool, it's cool to win stuff I guess. Most of the roster got called up now, so the team might not have the best season to come, but I feel like not alot of others will either. As it seems like alot of people just all over the J's got called up. Another thing to consider is the really small draft we just had. I was really surprised. But what can you expect with people going back to school and covid restrictions loosening up. I don't know too much about the roster changes of the LA Panthers, but I did notice, I think, two new signins for the team, which is awesome. I love new blood in lockerrooms. Comparing the two lockerrooms in my head and I gotta say I like them both alot. Very active, unique and full of cool people. Prompt 2 written.
The Calgary Dragons have had some big changes in the off-season. From a new co-gm to a big free agent signing, some big trades and the promotion of 3 exciting young rookies, there's lots to be excited about this coming season. Our beloved co-gm Katth stepped down due to real life comittments but he did a fantastic job in the role for a number of years, our back to back coach of the year Wally earned a well deserved promotion to co-gm and has been doing some fantastic work behind the scenes already, very excited to see him in this role moving fwd. Dragons management made some big moves this off-season first bringing in Taylor Johansson, a big name high tpe forward via trade who will be a major part of our offense this season, then Izzy went out and signed a top level high tpe defenseman in Aumy Jr who takes over as our #1 Dman, then he went out and signed Austin Roenick a talented forward with a great tpe level and was an upgrade in our line up. We lost Dragon legend Maxime Bouchard to retirement as well as a strong veteran in Steven Moyer but both were replaced by the above forward additions so we came out ahead. Big moves for the Dragons who also are calling up 3 top prospects this season with tpe killers Alexis Saint-Michel, Videl Valor and Zhen Rhoza! All great young players, two high end forwards and a goalie who all have bright futures with the Dragons! I think we can definitely make some noise this season with an improved roster and an exciting group of players. ---> ParmBorg Highlights <---

So unfortunately the Simulation Hockey League is one I struggle to watch as closely as some other leagues I am in so I don't know all the comings and goings in the team. But one addition to the Philadelphia Forge that I am extremely excited about is that we called up the best Aussie on the site to start playing for us this season - @Evil_AllBran!! I can't want to spend some more time with him around the locker room and as a nice bonus we get to play on the same line together so I look forward to us both racking up some points all season long! Evil All Bran is just such a happy fun person to have around the locker room so I'm looking forward to having him around and playing in the team full time. Looking forward to all the games we will get to play together and all the goals we get to score for the Forge. ![]() ![]() Registered Member
Prompt 2
I think the biggest change the Maine Timber have made this off-season is the change into a new division. You see, for some reason the J league allows all teams into the playoffs except for the bottom teams in the divisions of 4 teams. So even though the Timber were better than just about half of the teams last season, they were playoff ineligible. This makes little to no sense, but I know the reason it happens is because FHM simply cannot compute a playoff in which 7 teams enter from each conference. This is a pretty big oversight and it disappoints me that customization of league and playoff rules are so rigid within the sim, but what are you going to do? It's better than a sim in which you can take away all of your passing ability to become the greatest scorer of all time. Other than that Maine had no significant changes, which is significant in the fact that we are bringing back most of if not the entire team back. With only growth in our TPE numbers this team will be one to reckon with this season. Code: 193 words ![]() Registered S15, S16, S24, S34, S38 Challenge Cup Champion
PROMPT 2- If you don't understand the previous prompt or that one doesn't sound fun to write about, try this prompt.
Written Task: A new NEVER seen before prompt.... How has your team changed over the offseason? What have they added, lost? How are you feeling about this season? Pumped to try and make a name for yourself and hopefully do some damage in the playoffs? Or numb because you know the cup champion before the season even starts and are just looking forward to some juicy offseason drama in the s62 offseason? Looking at the second season for the Great Falls Grizzlies, there are several changes from last season. One of our top defenders, Sekai Wollker, has been called up to the SHL so that is a big loss in not only a great player, but experienced and locker room captain will be missed! The only other top player lost was Gerry Atrick who aged out and then had a little autoerotic asphyxiation accident! The draft saw the Grizzlies bring in 3 new players, and they are all active and had a good training camp and should be impressive in their rookie season. Brettski has the potential to be the next franchise player imo, and Baggins and Ashe will solidify the blue line. The other changes are all positive as their players from the S61 and S62 draft classes have all improved and their development should give them a great chance to be competitive. We will have a top line of all maxed players in Lux-Mandosson-Viggoson and I think they have the potential to be a very productive line. The second line is all S62 players who have done a great job with their training and will gain great experience as they get ready to max out next season. We are fortunate to be in a division where playoffs are assured but we want to prove that we deserve it regardless. I do think the SMJHL is much more wide open this season compared to previous ones. I think QCC, CAR, COL, KEL, ANC, and even GFG all have strong rosters, and even teams like NBB and ANA should see the fruits of their labors start to ripen and will be more competitive as well. So it should be an exciting season and lots of players having great seasons! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Registered singing solo you can't hear him |
