Jonathan Granström would definitely be part of the Up-and-Comers, joining in as one of the younger talents. I would like to imagine that both of my linemates, Calvin Hobbes as well as Bas O'Bigbers would be joining in as well. Our line is packed with young talent and is currently doing great in the New England Wolfpack. It's definitely difficult to pick out who more would be part of the team, there are a lot of good fits. to fill out a full "five" plus a keeper however, we'd need to add some defenders as well as a keeper. The goalie I think is the easy part, Jon St. Ark would be a good fit and has proved himself in the past. Both Jonas Kahnwald and Teylora Petrov would be good fits as well and roudning out the team. There would be more of course, but if this prompt will be built upon they can join later.
Our first practise is good times. A lot of us young talents know each other and so makes it easier to play together. The teammates I'll be around mostly are old or current teammates as well as S57 talents, people who I spent a lot of time with in the past. The first practise will be all smiles as I mostly skate around catching up with people, it is a light hearted welcome for everyone to get the spirits up. We will be playing against some real elite players so we need our cooperation and understanding of each other to be absolutly perfect. Some hits for, eh, good measure, will of course be dealt out as well. The first practise can't be only smiles and happiness. NO PAIN = NO GAIN.
Prompt 1
Since Shoyo Hinata has just been drafted by the Edmonton Blizzard, he has been chosen to play in the Up-and-Comers. Chosen with him was his fellow Colorado Raptors teammate Zayne Dangle. Dangle was chosen 6th overall by the Montreal Patriotes. His defense partner is Newfoundland Mikko Rashford, the second overall pick of the S62 draft. Shoyo linemate will be Askel Fiske, the first overall pick of the draft, and Spack Jarrow. Jarrow brings good defensive plays and a lot of rum.
Since all the players except Hinata and Dangle come from a different team, the first practice was a little bit chaotic. Dangle and Rashford keep following the same player in their zone. Jarrow was a little drunk. Both Fisk and Hinata wanted to be the scoring threat of the line. They decided that they will switch who shoot each game.
Even with the chaos of the first practice, the whole unit saw the potential they have. They don’t know yet if they will be able to beat the SHL all-star but they sure will have fun trying.

This past offseason, our captain Gunnar Soderberg passed away. It was a terribly sad offseason and thankfully we had plenty of time to come to terms with this and bond together as a team. So what do we do moving forward? Well first of all, Gunnar is still on the team - he's just a corpse that we're parading around the league. We're trying to set the record for most points ever by a corpse (which shouldn't be hard given corpses typically don't play hockey). It's also crazy because Gunnar was and is so full of life - how can a corpse bring so much light into this world?
Apart from that storyline, the other way that our roster has changed is that Juke has magically become better. And Corey worse. We're not sure if Juke hexed Corey and took away whatever little playing abilities he had - but they've seemingly swapped and now Juke is being looked to as the leader on defense that he was always destined to be.
Bas O'Bigbers is the type of player who would be on the up and comer team. Still only 3 seasons into his SHL career he has so much more to do and see. His four other teammates would include two forwards and two defenseman. For the first forward I'm going to have to pick his teammate Jonathan Granstrom. Jonathan Granstrom is the best player of his class and a delightful individual who plays down the middle. On the other wing I'd grab Liam Slate who is one of the most deadly up and coming wingers out there. On defense I'm going to grab the amazing Jonas Kahnwald from The Los Angeles Panthers. Kahnwald has been nothing short of stellar through his whole career and every moment I get with this guy is amazing. Last but not least is of course my favorite player in the league. Pasta the Turtle, the defenseman(defense-reptile?), from Edmonton. The future defensive d-man that all players will idolize when thinking of defense. This is the team of the future in my mind.
The Buffalo Stampede have had a couple of minor changes this offseason but the vast majority of the team remains the same. The big loss is the departure of defenseman Aumy Jr, who ended up on the Calgary Dragons. But the Stampede's blueline still has five very skilled defensemen on it, so I think we will be able to manage. The Stampede still have one of the best goalies in Elizabeth Doyle, who should continue to rack up awards left and right. The biggest strength of the Stampede is undoubtedly the forward group. With four Season 53 forwards all hitting their peak this season, along with a handful of older players still putting up big numbers, and a couple of younger guys really starting to hit their stride, the Stampede have as much offensive firepower as anyone else in the league. It is cup or bust in Buffalo, and I think that we definitely have the roster and the coaching staff to get it done.

Prompt 1:
So as Björn is clearly still pretty close to his peak he fit very well to team Superstars, after all he has had one awards nomination during his career, few seasons ago when Renegades won it all and won Best Defenseman award from IIHF in season 60. Looking back at players who are still around from S50 and other early fifties it makes me bit sad to see how few are left, but it doesn't matter too much as it is mostly the best ones that are left. As I'm doing my unbiased picking for the team I of course would see it totally reasonable to surround Björn with other players and users I know well as many of them have merits beyond what Björn has and even he made the cut. So from Season 50 Class I would add Adam Barron and Henrik Lekberg Osterman, there are many great players there but something resonates well with these guys, they have been there for most of the my career and I have good feeling about them (Lane and Michaud likely should make the team too if I were to make full roster). If I was unbiased MVDH sure would make the team but I'm not so I'd take Wachter instead and to keep his connection from Texas alive Kaarlo Kekkonen too would make the cut. Just to add few more I'd like to see Yxskaft and Kavanagh on the roster too.
Lot of these are players/users I have played in past either in Vancouver, Finland or Texas or otherwise have interacted with and had positive encounters so I expect everything to go without the hitch and when it comes to playing the game these are almost all best players in the league today so there really isn't stopping us.
SFP had a super successful offseason, overall it brought our overall TPE to a much higher number. I believe with all of our players being over at least 1k TPE now. Of course in order to do that we sadly had to lose some great people, but such is the nature of the league. On the plus side not only were our additions higher in TPE, but they are great additions to the locker room as well. We now have 3 J GMs in SFP which is something I personally love, it gives us a lot of insite come draft time already knowing about a lot of the players that will be in the draft. So far our results have not been outstanding but I think these moves will only move us into better places in the future once things settle down. I am sure by the end of the season the team will normalize a bit more and we will be well suited to hang in the playoffs.
Texas is going into this season obviously with the same goal as the ones before in this decade, looking to win it all! It’s too bad we couldn’t get Kubi a second Challenge Cup last season (and the final score of that final series sadly hardly describes the tightness of the games on the ice), but we hope to be back in the finals this season with the young Bjorn Bjorn replacing our now retired living legend Kubinec in the lineup. That’s the only notable roster change we made and with more guys gaining skill than losing it to regression we should be poised for another big season. We did also switch backup goalies, swapping the quite surprisingly effective Elle Rush for that old pirate Edward Teach, for whatever reason. Hopefully old Blackbeard will make it worth our while.
For myself I am also looking to have another season of personal bests, based on my rigorous offseason training and also moving upward in the depth chart after Kubi’s retirement. Early signs are that I will also be getting some powerplay time this season, which is something of a milestone for me personally, as I have mostly been more of a defensive forward guy thus far in my career.

After 69 shots on net with still no SHL goals to show for it, even the opposition started to feel so sorry for Lemo, that they decided to help him out :D
- Bad pass by Jack Klompus, he gave it right to Lemo Pihl.
- Lemo Pihl rips it to the net...
- Lemo Pihl will find the empty net, that should do it!
It’s a long time ago since Maximilian Wachter had to interact with the SHL, beside watching his son playing games. But a few days ago, he got a message. “Hey Max, you a part of a brand-new thing in the SHL, named THE GAME. It is an ultimate all-time SHL legend tournament. Get ready for a huge SHL comeback. You will be on the Hall of Fame team. Let us know if you want to be part of it and bring four more names from the Hall of fame you want to have on your team.” Maximilian didn’t have to think long about it. And just answered a few minutes later. “Hey there, I am in. I want to have on my team, VLAD McZehrl, Mike Izzy; Alonzo Garbanzo and Alexis Metzler. We will rock that tournament.”
VLAD was one of the best forwards that ever played in the SHL a pure offensive weapon. Mike Izzy was beast, his forechecks are feared and he never missed a situation where he could throw a hit or two, pared with his offensive skills a no brainer. Looking at the defense, with Alonzo we would have the one of the best defenders the game ever saw. He can see plays like no other defender can and play them and with Alexis we would have a pretty good all-round defender and another high honored defender in the lineup.
Pretty sure this team would cause a lot of problems for their opponents and should be able to win the tournament.

During the offseason, the Philadelphia Forge made one of the biggest signings in their history. Even though the signing has been on the team the last two seasons, he was officially considered a free agent. That's right, the biggest signing in the Forge history is none other than Justin Keahi! He brings GRIT, he brings an edge to the team. He plays a brand of hockey that is physical and in your face, something the young team needs to battle for victories. He even signed for two years instead of his usual one year, proving that he is here for the long run and wants to prove this team can be a force come playoffs time. Even though he is best known for agitating his opponents on the ice, this past playoffs he showed he can add a scoring touch, being tied for production on the forge last season with four points.
Well the Atlanta Inferno had a fairly interesting offseason, they managed to sign a defenseman who for some reason the management thinks will help them even though he is terrible at hockey. Gabriel Johnson, Johnson is a know scrub, similiar to Jack Johnson of the real life NHL. But teams just keep signing him. Atlanta inferno also called up Angus McPipe 18 or whatever his name is. A young stud defenseman who consistenly claims he's gonna win the cup but has failed to achieve that so far. They also called up Jack Nishimori a solid up and coming left winger who should help the team in depth scoring this season. Also Evgeni Petrov was called up to take over the backup goalie position for the team. And finally they called up, uhh Towelie? Im not sure why they did that, he's pretty terrible and looks to be a major bust. Personally i'm excited for the season, i improved heavily from last season and i expect to provide much more offense than the 35 points i had last season for Atlanta.
Quote: A new NEVER seen before prompt.... How has your team changed over the offseason? What have they added, lost? How are you feeling about this season? Pumped to try and make a name for yourself and hopefully do some damage in the playoffs? Or numb because you know the cup champion before the season even starts and are just looking forward to some juicy offseason drama in the s62 offseason?
Well to be honest I'm pretty excited about this season. It will be my second full season as an Argonaut and they elected to keep me which is always a great feeling. I think this season is where the Argos finally start to turn the corner. Cass is a great Captain as always and the young argonauts are starting to play to form. Of course the eyes of the league will always be on Hamilton and Buffalo but I think this season there will be a ready battle for the west. Edmonton is always a tough play but I think we'll get past them and make a deep run. Calgary is also a tough play, so is Texas but I think we could always surprise and make some waves. As for my player, I'd like to think that if I can get the mojo back for the league, it's been down a lot lately, that I can score 30 points this year.
The Montreal Patriotes madea lot of changes in the offaeason. They came under new management with the departure of their previous Head General Manager, and the new vision of the team became clear. Rebuild. With several players being traded to more contending teams, with their blessings, they decided that the best way to approach the future of the team is just that, focus on the future. Bringing in eight new prospects onto the roster, upping the young talent pool significantly the Patriotes are seriously focusing on the future seasons to be their best.
That being said, the Montreal team will be having a down season. Being the third season in existence, they are looking to have their worst on-ice season to date, but spirits have never been higher. The team morale is focused on the youth movement and future of the franchise, looking to build the core up in future seasons. That being said, don't expect to see Montreal win much this season whatsoever, but enjoy the vibe and culture being made.
