Prompt 2
The season overall went great individually and was a big step forward for Nevada as a whole. Kysoka was the top point getter for NBB while having the top game rating in the team. Nevada won its first playoff series ever and even. Took 2 games of of ah orange before finally falling. Really excited for my next and final years in juniors to see where Nevada goes. Though I won’t be able to update any new stats, with the team only losing two players to the SHl, it’ll be great to see our average TPE increase and make a deep run for the four star cup ![]() Player Updaters Player Updaters
It would have been nice to have made it to the finals of the Four Star Cup. I love being on a team as good as Chicago, especially given the crappy calibre of my player. It will be nice when one day I am decent in the SHL. But I definitely need to earn a lot more TPE to ever get to that point. Until then, I will just have to suffer being absolutely horrible defensively. Oh well, at least we have Minamino and many other beasts of players to even things out. Next year we need to make a solid push for the cup, but we will see.

Yeah I don't pay too much attention here but I will give this a go. The Bank here is the shit but there needs to be a way to go back to old bank posts so whiney updaters don't come at me for link to my banking page when I update once or twice a season.
Let's see, the recent State of The union had a lot of interesting stuff in it. It seems that HO and others in this league are working really hard to get the most of the sim and how we as a league interact with it. Hopefully that works out because it would be fun to see, ![]() ![]() ![]() Registered Member
Prompt #2
To be honest, my season with the Newfondland Berserkers has been great. We just won another 4 Star Cup, my second with the team and first as a starter. Unfortunately, as for my SHL season, it looks as though my dream to play in the SHL might be cut short. Due to personal issues, I've managed to really lag behind my draft class and have already been replaced by another talented prospect. My chances of making a team in the future are looking grim and I may end up retiring in Newfoundland after giving them another 2 solid seasons if I don't manage to get picked up by another team. In the meanwhile, I aim to be the best goalie in the SMJHL and push this Berserker's dynasty to its fullest potential. ![]() ![]() ![]() Registered Posting Freak
The SHL is a pretty cool place I have to say. It's definitely not perfect, but nothing really is perfect in life anyways. I've been here for almost 3 years now, and I have absolutely no clue where I would be without this league. I've made so many good friends that I talk to on a daily basis! I've made so many memories of good times (bad times too but we try to forget those). I'm not sure how many more years I will be able to go for, but I will cherish every seconds of it. I want to thank all the people I've met throughout these years, and wish all the users a good holiday season!

Prompt 2.
Just wanted to send my congrats to the current players/management on the NL team for winning their 2nd four star cup in 3 seasons. I think that looking at the roster, next season would have been pointed to as the height of the team's competitive window, so it was a great surprise to have such a good season and end up taking the championship home. All the players and coaches deserve their praise, but a special shoutout to the S62 class of rashford, sburb, jeff, tommy, bau, pope, mack, and ava. I think these guys represent the biggest class on the team, so in my opinion having them all be super LR active and capping their players ultimately was the difference maker in a really good team, vs. a championship team. ![]() Sigs: Thanks JNH, Lime, Carpy, and ckroyal92

This season for me had a lot of highs and lows. For highs I think my player did decent. He did not score as much as I wanted him to do but he did fine. For lows one of the biggest for me was the head office absolutely gutting my players TPE at his peak and the nonsense "well it is unfortunate that it was S53/S54 that had to get impacted the most but some draft class had to" is an excuse that I'd rather not hear. I'd rather HO would have said nothing than come up with that. Another low the playoffs. Yet another series ended with bot Hamilton coming out on top. I doubt these recent changes will fix anything but I guess we will just have to see

The SHL lately has been a little bit disappointing to me to be honest. I see a lot of people putting in a lot of thought and time into making the sure better, but then every time some minor issue comes up half the site acts like the sky is falling and that the league is the dying for some reason. Despite personally not being on a top team or profiting from the current state of the league in nearly any regard (not a top team, not doing particularly well in the Sim, player going to head face first into upped regression, etc.) I still feel the league is about as good as I knew it a while ago and it is certainly in a better place now than when I joined first 5 years ago. I think some newer users may lack the comparison to old pains, but even some old users continue to act like everyone else should treat the site as a full time gig despite that not being how it should ever be to anyone really.

Prompt 2:
Well, you did say we can talk about anything SHL related. First off, I need to state that I am very proud to be with the boys in Seattle, particularly with that comback against Calgary. So I will expect them to come back better, hopefully to make a deeper run to defy all the trends that we currently have. Speaking of trends, I give my congratulations to Hamilton and Texas, but I am also rather sad to know that parity is such a fleeting thought in the current league ecosystem. Maybe the new regression changes with shake things up, but for now, I have to watch with rather low prospects. ![]() Sig Credit: Flappy (EVO) and Skolpaddor (RESO)

Prompt 2.
This was my first season in the SHL versus the SMJHL and I really had a blast. If I am being honest I did not pay too much attention to this in the beginning of the season, but my general managers and the locker room were great in keeping me interested. Now in the cup finals, I am looking forward to watching the sims more than ever. I feel like I have really started to enjoy this league more than I could have ever imagined and a lot of that goes to Texas and the amazing people there making the experience what it really is for me. ![]() ![]() ![]() Registered Senior Member
This season has been a very strange and trying season for me this year. As the seasons have gone on, I have found myself more and more busy and the SHL taking a backseat to everything. That being said, even through it all, the Discord for the Tampa Bay Barracuda has been nothing but a wonderful and welcoming place. No matter how long people have been away, they greet everyone with open arms. Honestly speaking, if it wasn't for them I probably would have left long ago due to life.
That all out of the way, I am excited to see how the next few seasons go with more and more players, coaches, and GMs figuring the system's ins and outs. It will be interesting to see what happens moving forward. ![]() Registered Senior Member
It's been an up and down season for Kaapo Kampainen, but it was well compensated by the fun I've had in the Blizzard locker room. I like all my teammates and I'll stick with them no matter what. I've come close to quitting back when I was still a member of the New England Wolfpack as I didn't seem to have a purpose in the SHL, but the Blizzard welcomed me with open arms and I'm really happy to be a part of this wonderful organization. As for the league in general, I'm excited about the changes coming regarding parity, as I feel it's been an issue ever since I joined back in October 2020.

Jean-Uhtred Ragnarsson-Tremblay, Shadow extraordinaire, has been selected to play on the Superstars as the top-tied shutdown center that he is. Even if he is very disappointed that he will not be able to play with his great friend Cassius Darrow or his lover Gunnar Söderberg, both of whom have been picked to play on the Grizzled Vets team, he is happy to join forces with old linemates from his years in Colorado: Sven Svenson and Lord Raiden are going to play on his wings: Svenson in a Two-Way Forward role and Raiden as a strong Power Forward, a combination that has been proven very effective by many players on different teams over the years. With them is also going to be an old teammate of JURT from Chicago, Ryuuji Minamino, in a much more offensive role. Behind them, JURT's compatriot from Finland Juuka Timonen will make sure to hold the defense together. 2 Our superstar team approches the first game of the tournament with all the seriousness and professionalisme that made us all-stars in the first place. Even if we were playing a team of youngsters, we didn't want to take anything for granted and analyzed together the different things each of their players was or was not good at. Among them were notably Daud Ramza, the former (first) captain in the history of the Regina Elk and a new teammate of mine on the Argonauts. Former Colorado Raptors captain Angus McFife XVIII was also there to lead the defensive group. It was a very interesting game because they had prepared well too and despite having lesser skills they were playing a solid game defensively. In the end, our team won by three goals in a 5-2 final score but we gotta give respect to the young guns and we all went to dinner together afterwards where we gave them advice and such. 3 Well, coming into this game, we were convinced that if anyone stood a chance to finally break the Hall of Famers perfect record, it was us Superstars, with a batch of future Hall of Famers amongst our ranks. We were utterly wrong, as we got completely destroyed by the legends who gave us a masterclass of how to play hockey. No one on our team looked like they were in their place, it was humiliating. JURT kept chasing people and was never able to take the puck away once. Reid Sutherland kept passing to the opponents, Ryujii Minamino's dekes looked like he had both his hands numb, Sven Svenson couldn't shoot for shit. On the defense, Ruggs McOooh kept getting passed like a pee-wee, Juuka Timonen's shots kept hitting his teammates and Emilia Bergman didn't get passed around like McOooh but only because she kept taking penalties. Doyle was swiss cheese in goal and Jobin was worse when he came into the game. 4 The Superstars approached the game with confidence. JURT lives for these moments: offense wins games, but defense wins championships. His role for that whole game was going to be a shutdown one, as always, but it was going to be extra tough considering the people on the Grizzled vets. His friends and mentors Cassius Darrow and Corey Kennedy were on the other team, ready to make his life hell with their calm play at the blue line in the offensive zone. Even worse, his fiancee Gunnar Söderberg was the one he would have to keep an eye of most of the game. The game goes well. It's a nail biter from start to finish and the Grizzled Vets came real close to winning the game in overtime when Ryan Shepard hit the post twice in a row. His Chicago teammate Ryuuji Minamino then picked up the puck and went coast-to-coast to snipe one and seal the deal. 5 Well, here we are again, facing the Hall-of-famers and in the finals this time. They sure gave us hell when we played them in the preliminary rounds and are still to this day undefeated. We try hard to motivate ourselves and say we can do this, but nothing short of a miracle will let us go home with the cup here and we know it. Before the game, the coach gives a very inspiring speech about the things that make the difference between a superstar for a little while and someone who will become a hall of famer. We are all really motivated by this and we go out on the ice flying. It's a nail-biter, but we learnt from our mistakes: Minamino stops shooting when it's not the right time, Svenson reverts back to a two-way forward to help out neutralizing the opponent's top line with JURT. We win, the end. ![]() ![]() Registered Senior Member
Overall I think this was a pretty great season for Aleks Blixtstrom and the Los Angeles Panthers. We finished 6th overall in the league at 42-22-2. We won the Pacific division with 86 points, 7 points above second place. It was my second season in the big leagues and while I am not getting an insane amount of playing time still, I really improved compared to last season. I finished with 5 goals and 16 assists for 21 points, compared to 5 points last year. I had a +2 +/- compared to -14 last season. My average defensive game rating went from 53 to 60. On top of all of that, the Panthers made it to the Conference Finals, where we put up a great fight but unfortunately lost. There was a lot to like this season, and it's only up from here.
