So Rotticus, the team has been great this season. You are fighting for the top spot in your division, and it looks like Hamilton is poised for another deep playoff run. What do you think about your performance so far?
The team has been great. We have a great group of guys and I love being around these guys day in day out. Excited for the season and excited to see where things go.
Speaking on personal performance, you have been your old self this season. Many saw you making that next step from superstar to best player in the league, but you haven't seemed to make that next step yet. What are your thoughts on how you've been playing?
yeah I mean I've pretty much been point per game since I came into the league. I want to be that transcendent type player, but when you're on a team like Hamilton you really need to be doing some insane work every game to stand out with the rest of the team. All three of our lines have arguments to be the best line in the league, so its going to be a lot of sharing the wealth for the forseeable future. I think the cup wins are more important than the MVP's.

Roach: No problem, always happy to make time for a quick chat.
I: Buffalo has been doing pretty well lately, and you specifically have been on a bit of a tear. How are you guys feeling about this season?
R: Feeling good so far, we have a great team and even though the last few games haven't been the best, we are still rolling along. It's a tough division with Toronto looking good this season but I'm confident we can come out on top.
I: You won the Jeff Dar award for best defensive forward last season, what are you doing to try and repeat that performance this year?
R: I'm just trying to repeat what I did last season, if it ain't broke don't fix it right? I just need to keep blocking shots and keeping the puck away from the other guys and I should be able to grab another one or two Dars.
I: That's all the time we have, thanks again Alex.
Press: So Slip, second full season under way with the Specters tell us how that is going.
Slip: Well, it's taken a bit of adjusting, but I think I am filling out the role that I signed up for.
Press: Adjusting? What do you mean.
Slip: Look, I've never been an offensive dynamo. I am brought in to make sure nothing bad happens on the ice. I've been through however many seasons accomplishing this by throwing my body in front of pucks or throwing it onto other bodies. I am still performing in that same primarily defensive role, but I cannot keep up with these young goons throwing the body around. They throw the body, I clean up the puck.
Press: How do you think that is going for you?
Slip: Just look at the numbers. I am not putting up nearly as many countable stats as I have in previous seasons. Hits, blocks, takeaways, all down. However, I have the team high in PK time with a middle of the pack SA/60. I am -4 with only 10 EV points, so really not a whole lot happens while I'm out. My role is to eat the hard minutes without bleeding too much so the young guns can feast on the easier minutes, and I think that is going exactly as good as it could go at this point in my career.
So let's get this started. You come into the season coming off a record setting regular season but some playoff disappointment. What was your outlook coming in?
Martijn: Well, our outlook was to get better and to win games. I think that's gone alright so far, we're definitely not on a record setting pace but maybe that's a good thing. I think we're really starting to come together as a team and we're going to be positioned well to make a deep run in the playoffs this year.
And how have your new teammates fit in?
Martijn: It's been awesome. Fluw is awesome to have in the locker room and we spend a lot of time just kind of shooting the shit off the ice. Andy has been a great presence for our defence even if he is a little more reserved. Clean is... well everyone knows Clean. Fantastic. And then we got to spend a little time with our prospect Dave Heinrich who has been fantastic and I think we've got a star in the making there.
Interviewer: How would you say your team is playing so far? Myself: I would say right now my team is playing at an elite level, we are really putting forth a full team effort, it isn’t just one guy out there pulling us through everyone is doing their part; from our top line right down to our back up goalie. You are currently the leading the race for most points how does that feel? Well you know it feels great, but it isn’t just on me I have wonderful teammates out there who are helping me get the job done most of my points are assists so its everyone else who are finishing their chances and Im getting lucky to have one of the assists that give me a point. What do you think your chances are going back to back? Well you know it’s a hard battle in the playoffs but if we keep doing what we are doing then, then id say we have good chance. (169)
"In your opinion, what has gone right and what has gone wrong this season for the New England Wolfpack?"
I mean in the moment, it is hard to think about what is going right and what is going wrong. We are trying to go out and compete every night. Obviously the season hasn't gone the way we expected, but we are trying to battle back. You have to trust the process, and sometimes you have to think about training and improving for the next season.
"Are you saying that the team has given up?"
No, I wouldn't say that. To give up means we aren't showing heart and passion in our games. We are still going out each night with passion, we just aren't doing what we need to do to win hockey games. No one in this locker room would ever give up before the season is over. Right now we are just battling.
Good. Let's start with the first question: How are you feeling about Regina’s performance so far this season?
It’s good. It could definitely be better, but we are getting closer and closer to that final product each day. The team is working hard and some players like Yanny and Ken are lighting it up this year. We have a lot to be proud of so far.
Who stands out as Regina’s MVP through the halfway point of the season?
Oh Yanny for sure! Guy has been on a tear and he's just an absolute beauty in the locker room. He deserves that letter he wears. Works hard and sets a great example for all the young players on the roster.
Where do you think you need to improve to set yourself up for success come playoffs?
Well personally I need to work on picking my chances better. I haven't even broken 100 shots yet this year and that 9.1 shooting percentage just hurts to look at. I always pride myself on leading by example and I know I can set a better example for the players. I am excited to show them some real playoff hockey though.
I think the seasons been going alright so far, basically as expected, individually i think I'm doing ok, decent contributions for this point of my career with 23 points in 35 games. Teamwise I think it's also going alright but could be going better. We're still at the top of the league and west but things have been rough against Texas in particular our main competition in the West. Baltimore is also looking quite scary this could be their year.
How much longer do you think you'll play for Daniel
I'm getting pretty old at this point and for some reason this season I felt a lot worse than usual, but so did most of the league for some reason. I probably have 1-2 seasons left in me but i'll keep playing as long as the team needs me and that I can at a reasonable skill level.
We're sitting down with Tony Pepperoni to discuss his time in Edmonton, moving on to Baltimore and how he feels closing in on 1000 points. First question, how did the decision to leave Edmonton go?
The writing was on the wall for me in Edmonton as far as I'm concerned. I had a good feeling they'd be moving on from me after last season as they have a young group and probably want to focus on the future. It was a hard reality to face and I seriously considered retiring a Blizzard but I was so close to a big milestone and when there was interest from Baltimore, the decision to continue was easy.
You mentioned a big milestone, I assume you're talking about 1000 points which you're now only 3 points away from achieving?
We've got a smart guy over here. Yup, I'm hoping to be one of the few players to make it to 1000 points. I'd like to say I'd challenge for the all-time record but that could take a few seasons at this rate and there's already younger guys right on my rear end. I may pass Esa but I doubt I'll be the first to do it.
Quote:PROMPT 2- Maybe the social media team went with someone with a little more personality than you...
Written Task: Play out an interview with your player and the press. You can switch between bold/italics and regular text to differentiate between the two parties involved. Ask any questions you think are relevant, it could be about a certain game, season, cup win, whatever you choose. Include your player's answers to the questions (150+ words).
After finishing Season 62, the team gathered for their annual press conference. As always, Elwulf Jericson reluctantly agreed to do his interviews.
Elwulf Jericson: Before we begin this press conference I would like to thank my teammates and family for supporting me throughout these years. They have not always been the best years for me but I wanted to open up with that. Now, on to the questions.
Drew Talkalot: How do you feel about how the season went for you personally? You have received reduced responsibilities as the years have gone on.
Elwulf Jericson: It always hurts to not go all the way and win, but I thought I adjusted decently enough. We have some great up and coming players who will be able to compete for ice time and I hope they continue to push both themselves and me.
Drew Talkalot: Follow up question. How long do you plan on continuing playing? It appears that the wheels have already fallen off for you.
Elwulf Jericson: I plan on continuing to play for Tampa Bay until they drag my carcass off the ice.
