"One solid introduction to the latest FHM update gives you the ability to lose players for random reasons such as 'not feeling like playing', 'not in the mood' and, the best one of the bunch, 'decided to travel to Timbuktu all of a sudden'."
Former Players: Yoshimitsu McCloud (LW, #64) - Won a Four Star Cup once, knew ninjutsu, picture editors hated him, never tried free agency
Anton Harrier (LW, #90) - Won WJC gold, liked skateboarding a lot, went to the finals with Manhattan, kept his seat glued in LR
yosh SMJHL GM
cut back down to my knees, gotta get back, gotta get free, cut back to my knees, lean back now, lean back and breathe
Well you see, the Simulation Hockey League took a little something out of Apple's playbook and simply chose to omit a number. Why? Because chronology is arbitrary.

Too young for this shit

It has a secret function that allows the first team to use it to gain a special competitive advantage without any action upon it. It's like magical and even ten plus seasons later people will decry this team for their existence.
An old man's dream ended. A young man's vision of the future opened wide. Young men have visions, old men have dreams. But the place for old men to dream is beside the fire.
Thanks to Jackson, Copenhagen, and Harry Hans!

- Every player has to log into FHM daily in order to progress their character. This was specifically designed for the Simulation Hockey League. Also, every save file is permanent and cannot be duplicated to ensure the SHL can run with fairness.
OOTP messed up and now FHM requires players to rebuild their player build after every sim. These must manually be submitted or the player will have attributes evenly spread.
The worst possible feature would be including an obscure option that makes all your players grumpy as hell if you don't tick off a certain box on the first day of the month in the management options to spend money on making them happy. This feature just sewers an unwary GM and certainly wouldn't be brought back for the next iteration of the series.
For me, it's the fact we skipped. There's going to be some bad voodoo magic that comes along with that and the SHL is going to learn very fast not to skip.. especially lucky number 7!!
FHM 7 has a broken attribute system in which 20 scoring and 5 passing builds are the meta, and teams running these builds absolutely steamroll their opposition.
I think in FHM7 the feature that would make us skip it is goalies actually being good the higher attributes they have. No one wants good goalies, we want gols and assists and not shutouts. Except for the Atlanta Inferno, our goalies can be good.
* It actually stands for Franchise Horse Racing Manager
* It's biased towards international teams
* The hockey players retire after 1 season.
* It's frankly just a worse game
Being FHM 7, there was a bit of hidden code that made it so that every playoff series would go to seven games no matter what. This would infuriate those that failed to make to playoffs or got bounced early having to deal with the longest possible offseason.
FHM7 introduced a new development mechanic making it so players semi randomly in or decreased various attributes during the season. That would have lead to every player needing to have his build checked before every game they played.
The biggest turn off in FHM 7 obviously were the nerfs in certain player roles that are hugely popular amongst user such as enforcer. The GMs did a private vote amongst themself and told HO to skip 7
Your task: Write the LEAST appealing bullet point list of FHM 7 features you can imagine. What features would be so inconvenient for a sim league that we'd have no choice but to skip it for the next iteration of the game?
*Player moods are all over the place. You lose to games in a row and suddenly your team will just never win another game, because the morale of the team is so low. Same for winning, you win two in a row and suddenly you are unkillable gods.
