a. Well it's too late now, but Winnipeg would definitely have been my favorite as well. They are just such a strong and well-rounded team with both top-end talent and depth along as one of the best goaltenders in the league. New England is good but Winnipeg is just the complete package in my opinion.
b. I think they just need to rely on their Strengths and especially their Experience. Losing in the finals is a feeling that nobody wants to experience, but it can make you stronger for the future and they need to draw from those learning experiences that they've had. They are a team that combines supreme talent with a long road and a lot of time to learn.
c. Definitely the Aurora because they beat us, duh. For real though, I think we had a really really good team this season and they still made short work of us, so that was definitely an impressive performance as they have shown that they can dominate both against weaker teams and ones that are on par with them on paper.

I don't mean to take anything away from the Aurora, they are an amazing team and deserve to be where they are, but I disagree with the insinuation that it is tougher to be consistently good in the current era of the SHL than it was previously. If anything, it has gotten easier and we have seen the same teams have quite dominant competing circles for at least half a decade a quite a few times in recent years. The competitive landscape of the SHL has changed in a way where the strong team in the regular season go deep in the playoffs more consistently and boy, are the Jets a good regular season team! So they still deserve a lot of praise both for their roster building and their perserverance. Even before their recent finals appearances they were considered one of the best teams in the SHL and always fell short earlier than expected. Not to get discouraged by that eventually is a good achievement in itself.

a. I was pretty sure that Winnipeg ''Aurora'' will finally win a cup. They were in the Finals for three seasons in a row, but always lost. This was their fourth time in the Finals in four seasons. I was optimistic about their chances finally winning it all. It would've been only obvious since we know their roster and abilities. (59 words)
b. Winnipeg had a lot of experience. Losing three straight Finals series in a row ain't easy, but they got experience instead and now they can dominate. They lost the first game of series, but later on had two shutouts and four victories in general in a row. I think there was more skill on their side and experience. (58 words)
c. ''Wolfpack'' was the regular season winner who won agaist 6th placed ''Forge'' in seven games. ''Aurora'' meanwhile was the 2nd seed who won in just five games against ''Blizzard''. ''Aurora'' won in five games against 3rd seeded ''Syndicate'' as well. They didn't lose more than one game in each series. I would say that ''Aurora'' had more dominant and impressive run, while ''Wolfpack'' had much harder path. (67 words)
d. As I mentioned before, I was hoping for ''Aurora'' victory before the Finals and I'm happy about the outcome now as well. They were fighting hard. It ain't easy to lose three straight Finals series in a row. They came over their curse and won that chip. ''Aurora'' and ''Wolfpack'' has been like Goldenstate ''Warriors'' and Cleveland ''Cavaliers'' back in the days in NBA. Both of those teams are dominant. However, I think that this era might end soon. Both teams have old players and they are regressing. They either have to trade them for some new talents or draft assets. Otherwise they will all come to a time where they have to retire and there won't be any big players who can take the care of this team. They would sit in the last positions for a couple of seasons if they don't find a way to trade them in the right time for the right assets. Similar situation has ''Wolfpack''. I just think that they might be at the top for few more seasons. A bit longer than ''Aurora''. However, we will see how things will change here. I'm pretty sure that my ''North Stars'' will be a hard opponent for each team after a couple of seasons or so. Buffalo ''Stampede'' always is a hardcore team as well, so I think there will be plenty teams who can take Winnipeg's and New England's spots. (190 words)

I would say my friendly swiss rival is fellow defending player "HOOHEEHASHLEY" Zopf who is in my draft class, on my Swiss team and I even played with play at Team Dach and on the Colorado Raptors. Honestly off the ice he is Isaac's go to for just talking, hanging out, laughing at people and just having a wonderful time. Very good times are all they ever have really.

But on the ice? It is god damn on! The war of every period happens. Both want to win, both do not want to concede and both very much so want to get a goal or assist on the other. Total battles wins reigns supreme. It also helps they are core members of each team they are respectively on. A final between those 2 teams would be the ultimate decider I feel. For all the bragging rights, before gunning to win a medal for the Swiss a few short weeks later.

So in the end of the finals, the Winnipeg Aurora pulled off the Providence Crabs! (Losing the first 3 finals before owning in the 4th straight final to finally win 1) and they 100% deserved to finally win 1. I think they probably suffered enough. Even getting a bit of revenge on the New England Wolfpack from a previous final too no less. I will say they won this series purely because of the experience of the big moments and the determination to final get over the finishing line. They deserve it for sure. Now can they continue the streak of finals next season?

I think that the Winnipeg Aurora organization deserve a lot of credit for being able to build such a successful team year in and year out for the past several seasons. They have seemingly always been good, though perhaps not to the level of winning the championship, but the last 4 seasons have been truly dominant. They have been able to use excellent drafting strategies to select players that would all peak around the same time, as well as trading for multiple excellent players in their peak for cheap and with retained salaries, almost always getting perhaps the steal of the century with their trades. While it is minorly frustrating from an outside perspective to see the team always get excellent value from trades, it's also incredibly impressive that the GMs and front office have been able to make these trades and find these values nearly every single offseason to fill what few holes there are in the Winnipeg squad. I am happy that such a well managed team was able to win at least one trophy this season.

The Winnipeg Aurora hockey team of the simulation hockey league defeated the New England Wolfpack hockey team in season seventy two finals and won the challenge cup which is the trophy awarded to the champion of the simulation hockey league, called SHL for short. The main reason Winnipeg Aurora were able to win is they scored more goals than their opponent in 4 games out of 5 which is usually sufficient to win the series. Tough break for the New England Wolfpack and if they wanted to change the result they should have scored more goals and allowed fewer goals and maybe they would have won.

I do not think you can point solely to one thing to explain Winnipeg's consistent and continued dominance of the Western Conference. However, one key reason why Winnipeg has found itself at the top once again is top tier roster management. The Aurora have amassed a wealth of talent at forward, on defense, and in net that is incredibly difficult to do in this era of the Simulation Hockey League. When players are limited in deal length and routinely face the option of whether to leave in free agency or go to another team, it is vital to a teams continued success to retain talent and keep them developing over a long period of time. Winnipeg has gotten it's roster to buy in to it's culture of success in a way that few teams have done throughout the history of the SHL. What's more impressive is that they've done so despite facing losses in multiple challenge cup finals over the past few seasons. Ace is a HOF GM and is demonstrating his expertise, which has lifted Winnipeg to near-dynasty status. (180)

How many more kicks at the can will these teams have with their current cores? Winnipeg has been unbelievably dominant with four straight wins of the Western conference. The Wolfpack have been one of the best teams in the league for several seasons running as well. For how long are these two cores going to keep themselves in that top echelon? Which teams will be their biggest threats next season?

It is easy to see that most of the league is getting antsy. With Winnipeg constantly making it out of the West and few powerhouses to challenge them in the East, players the league over are looking for ways to either join these dominant squads or make new ones of their own. Winnipeg is likely seeing their cup window coming to an end - some of their mainstays are beginning to regress and their prospect pool is quite shallow. Without a cup win to show for their era of dominance, it's tough to imagine that Winnipeg would be looking to retool, much less rebuild, without finally making it to the mountaintop. Meanwhile, can any team in the East make a splash without giving up too many assets? Are general managers just generally unwilling to sell the future for a shot now when the gap between good teams and great teams is just so wide at the moment? As with many scenarios in this league, it's going to come down to the players. Who can retain their stars, who can add flashy free agent signings? Do they do it now, or perhaps in three seasons when a new crop of players begin to top the leader boards? (205)

It looks like the Winnipeg Aurora have finally done it! They are our Simulation Hockey League champions for S72! The Winnipeg Aurora obviously won because the hockey gods wouldn't take it from them again this season. New England might have stood a chance if they had the same quantity of cup appearances and experience I these kinds of situations, but no team has been more ready to hoist the challenge cup than the Winnipeg Aurora. My favorite part of the series was when Winnipeg won it all! As a member of their prospect pool, it's great to see everyone so happy to finally get over the hump. I think they can even win it all next year in Season 23! (120)

2. a. The thing that impresses me the most about Winnipeg is their consistency. I know the league talks regularly, and accurately, about the fact that the good teams are the only teams who win, but Winnipeg being able to do it year after year is very impressive and testament to their players and management staff.

I don’t really know why I think that, but I have faith that I think they can get it done after years of heartbreak. If they don’t, well I’m not sure that their fans won’t just burn down the arena themselves in an extreme version of Vancouver in 2010.

I think when you look at Winnipeg in the current era that sees them with four Challenge Cup Final appearances in a row, I’m sure that there would be people that would argue that this team was not a success. I would not be one of those people, but the argument could be made that making 4 straight final appearances without winning would be unsuccessful in all reality. But the thing is, that if you judge team success based on whether or not they win the Challenge Cup, there would be a lot more teams that fail each season. I would say that Winnipeg has been extremely successful and I think that they are fully a credit to their management staff and their players to keep at it and keep grinding each week to be better and to be successful. It’s hard to ask that from your team, especially if you haven’t gotten over the hump, but I continue to be impressed with Winnipeg.

What impresses me the most about the Winnipeg Aurora is their ability to continuously make it back to the grand stage. Their D core is second to none and their Forwards can out shoot any opponent if they are on a good night. The team is very well built and hopefully they can bring home another cup.

The Winnipeg Aurora take this series easily. I dont think New England can keep up with them defensively nor can their offense generate enough to keep themselves in games. I think its different from S70 and Winnipeg mops the floor with them before New England even knowns what hit them.

The Winnipeg Aurora have a stranglehold on the western conference. I don't think that the other western teams ever have the opportunity to ever really take down this team in a 7 game series. I also think it helps when the west has not seemed as strong either especially as of late but I do think that the Aurora have a very very good team on paper. I think that, like I said before, this Aurora team has all the pieces to bring it home and win the cup that this team has been hunting for so desperately these last couple of seasons especially after the heartbreak the Wolfpack gave them in season seventy as they lost in a thrilling seven game series that had them watching the fans from the crowd cheering as they saw their favorite team hoisting the cup. I think other lessons teams should be taking from this is to keep your head up and continue to stay with your team even if things aren't going that well in the moment things will turn around and you could very easily be finding yourself in the grand finals before you know it.

New England just always impresses me. They have an absolutely solid team it seems year in and year out. I can't even name a weakness they are just an overall team that never seems to have down years and seem competitive no matter who is on their roster. I rooting for New England. Sorry Winnipeg.

I mean are they really that successful? Sure they are dominant and get to the finals each year but they always lose! I think overall they have a strong team that much is really obvious and they can beat anyone on any given day. But it is that last push that they just can't seem to do it. Maybe this is the year, maybe they are just missing that last little bit of puck luck to go in their way and push them into the champions lime light. I hope so, it is hard to watch such a good team to constantly be there and just not seem to get it. They should be considered a dynasty at this point if they had stung a couple of cups together but right now they definitely aren't. Anyway as I said before I think all Winnipeg really needs is some Voodoo rituals to get it done in season 72. In fact I am coining the term "Voodoo for 72"

Let's keep it simple and stick close to come with this prediction! A quick look and analysis of the IIHF predictions shows that Team France is receiving an average ranking of 5.375 for Pool A. France is a young team that has recently undergone a number of young roster additions including yours Truly Lazer Gato and my fellow Kraken Teammate Westly Kirkpatrick! While we'll both be sitting out this round I believe the addition of two core Defensive Players that will grow alongside each other reflects what Team France has been building for some time now. That is Kirkpatrick and I are just the newest addition to a team that has quickly been building depth all over the Roster. I fully expect France to play up to the competition this season with veterans like Miguel Hefeweizen, Johnny Wagner-Svenson, Oliver Castillon, and Sydney Shaw finally all contributing on the ice. However the game is not all about the players and I would be remiss if I didn't mention that between the coaching of France Federation heads Fuzz and CountChocula I believe France is setup to pass our expectations of 5 or lower in the Pool and set a floor of 4th. Not necessarily a high riser but a sign of things to come for this team!

Hockey is a team game and the thing that impresses me the most between these two finalists in the New England Wolfpack's Center Ivan Lacksamus. During the regular season Ivan lead the league in both Power Play goals at 24 AND Assists with 76. You want to talk about an all around weapon Lacksumus is it. If you cover him he has the vision and passing to get it to an open teammate, and when the Wolfpack has the number advantage Ivan is taking full advantage.

When it comes to finals matchups this looks as even as it gets on the surface with both teams within 20 Goals Scored of each other and the Wolfpack only allowing three more Goals Allowed on the season. By record alone I'd wager on the Wolfpack but the stat that really stands out to me is New England's road record. Finishing 23-10 on the season when playing away far surpasses Winnipegs 14-16-3 record when on the road. I expect The Wolfpack to steal at least 1 road game and that should be enough to put them on top here.

2c. For me the Wolfpack had the more impressive win, although both cannot be discounted. They had to play the Philadelphia Forge. I know alot about Philly fans and they never make it an easy place to play. The Pack not only had to contend with a strong Philly team but also with the atmosphere. That can't be easy. I know that Philly fans are a dedicated and often rowdy bunch, they really let the opponents hear it. (1 TPE)

2d. This time around, it is Winnipeg's time. We have seen this matchup before and New England had the upper hand. That will come to an end in this season, as the Aurora will shine their bright lights all over New England as well as the entire league. 3. To be in the Challenge Cup four years in a row is crazy. Like, straight up astounding. In this league which requires sustained effort and activity from people who have real jobs, lives and other commitments, it is shocking that a team has been able to replicate this success over and over again. Other teams envy at the chance to get to the Challenge Cup and to think that there has not been another representative from the Western Conference in about a calendar year in real life is nuts. Other Western teams must be itching to get back in the action, but Winnipeg continues to brush them all off. It is so impressive and I am honestly so glad that I do not play for a Western team so that I dont have to deal with that. Not something that I'd be looking forward to. Of course as an eastern opponent, I would have to get my team to the Cup and contend with some serious squads over here too, so its not as if it is a cakewalk. Credit to Winnipeg for this run, lets see if they close it out! (3 TPE)
