Media Release Statement from the Social Media of Rodrigo Banes: "Hello everyone, I have had several fans express concern that I am playing too rough, and hitting too much. I have heard, and I have listened. I will no longer be engaging in bodychecking, and will strictly check opposing players' sticks from now on. When I am forced to initiate body contact, I will very loudly and clearly ask the player if I have their consent to touch their body before making contact, and thank them for allowing me to, afterwards. Also, I will be wearing a full face shield and a neck guard for the remainder of my career, in order to set a good example for the young players who do not fully understand the health risks and hazards associated with playing professional hockey. Thank you to all my fans and supporters, I hope you all have a Happy Non-Binary Holiday with plenty of rizz."

When it comes to people calling me out on my play, I generally ignore it, but this slander and hatred from this one person has gone a little too far. When I looked up this guy I saw that all he really does is criticize SHLers, so I didn’t make too much of it. However, when a tweet came to light that he was discussing I was probably having trouble at home with my family and that’s why my play was so bad, I couldn’t take it quietly anymore.
“You think Kirby is having issues at home? I think you should look at yourself, there’s a reason you have never had a woman in your life or even have any family and friends to spend time with. The holidays are coming around and you’re probably going to be home watching his highlight tape to see what else you can criticize while he’s at home having a nice home cooked meal with his family.” – User123456798

Reddit post from CGYFan92360244:
What do you mean, Bordeleau isn't pulling her weight? She's got up to 30 goals already with 16 games to go in the season, leading the Dragons in goals and points by a healthy margin. She won the Jeff Dar last season somehow, and while she isn't on that pace this year her defensive game has picked up decently after a slow start to the year. Calgary having about a million rookies (okay, five) means there's been a lot of growing pains this year, plus a tough schedule to start the year. I'd like to see this so-called hockey expert step in as coach so he can see what it's like having a tough road season, managing the growth of young players, and dealing with all the real-life events on top of everything. Try doing all of that and then get back to me on how difficult it is to get through a season.

Well as a defenseman, most of the drills I work on with my goalie duo is passing. I've been on the bad end of a goalie leaving a puck for me when I assumed he was going to pass, and vice versa, one too many times. Communication between a goalie and their defenseman is key. I also work on battling in front of him. I wanna do my best to make sure I'm in the way to block shots, but not so much in the way that I'm screening him. There's a fine line in being that human shield and just being a nuisance. If we can grab on of the forwards to help us out, sometimes I'll take big slappers and have them do deflections so that they can get some save practice in there and just hone those hand-eye skills and catlike reflexes. One drill I like to do with my goalie in practice is a positioning drill where I will stand at various spots on the ice while a puck carrier enters the offensive zone. I will have the goalie shout out commands like "left", "right" or "you're good right there" to ensure that I am in the best spot possible to block the puck, while also not blocking my goalie's view in case one gets past me. Although this is a fairly simple drill, we have seen a lot of benefits on the ice. First of all, it has allowed me to be better with my positioning on the defensive end so that I can be at my best when it comes to stopping the puck. Secondly, it has really improved communication between and my goaltender. That natural ability to call out commands is now seen on the ice, and I know that my goalie will not be afraid to speak up when I am out of position.

Everyone knows that the keys to elite goaltending in the SHL are strong passing, puckhandling, and skating, so it naturally follows that the key to Edmonton's success in net has been working our goalies on the same drills the skaters do every practice. At the start of each practice, goalies Time and Bouchard can be found lining up with the rest of the skaters to work on breakout passes, cone drills, and even the odd breakaway scoring chance. The results speak for themselves, perhaps most strongly in Edmonton's Game 5 overtime win against the Philadelphia Forge, where Time picked up a loose puck and fired a breakout pass that would eventually lead to Eggward Elric's third period goal. Clearly this well rounded strategy is paying off, but suggestions that more cross positional practicing should be included in the team's schedule by putting forwards in net to face shots has been met with less enthusiasm.

Option 2:
The best thing that the young D man and his goalie do is practice with seeing past Nik since he is trying to block every shot so the goalie doesn't have to work as hard. Nik will stand in front of his goalie and eat shots as his teammates shoot shots at them. It is Nik's job to blocks as many shots as possible and get in the way and take the shots. While the goalie if any gets past Nik they need to make the save and not let in goals. Every time a goal goes in they both have to do some laps on the ice. They keep going until they both stop 30 in a row. and then they switch sides. It does leave Nik pretty dang bruised and roughed up but it is his strength and the goalie get good shot help from the drill as well,

Media clowns trying to throw shade on the Manius’s is nothing new or creative it is a sad state of affairs when an old wash up has been of an old-school hockey media boomer to continue the pointless crap. Just because my father may or may not have had some sexual indiscretion with a few members of a certain media titan from New Orleans. There is no reason for that spiteful induvial to carry grudge for so many years and then take that anger out on uninvolved induvial from the same family. It is just sad. I am sorry you were scorn by a member of my family but New Orleans is my home and just because you cry a lot that does not mean you will get your way. I am sorry that Lil’ has shown just how little you can be. Hopefully after reading this, you will see the error of your ways.

Here we go, Robert Mackay of the Calgary Herald is at it again by demanding I should be traded. This "journalist" is constantly off base about his own team, Calgary Dragons. Why is he losing his head about a Philadelphia prospect playing on a WINNING team for Colorado in the SMJHL? Total hit piece, all the way through. Not only is Leonard Wood an effective piece on the Colorado Raptors, he is a leader and top scorer. Leonard has the "A" patch on his jersey as an alternate captain along with Oranje Kohne and Jussi Mutou. Leonard is fourth in scoring on the Raptors with 10 goals and 35 assists. The assists total alone should tell you how much of a team player he is. Besides those individual stats, the Raptors are currently positioned second in the league standings with 31 wins, 12 losses, and 7 overtime losses. The Raptors have the most goals scored in the league. Colorado's general managers have the utmost confidence in Leonard Wood's abilities. The suggestion that he should be traded is absolutely absurd. Out of touch boomer, Robert Mackay will be eating his words when Wood is lifting the Four Star Cup with Colorado in the near future. |
