S78 mPT #0: The Myth Due: Sunday, August 11th @ 11:59 PM PST

Oskar just entered his first year of regression and is one of the top TPE players in the league this season. San Francisco is a wagon again this year so he has zero desire to leave, but if management decided to blow it up for some reason Oskar would certainly consider being part of the mass exodus from the team to maximize his last few seasons of prime production.

I’ve been playing for the same organization now for almost 2 full careers. Might even be more than that. I’d like to do the experience of free agency for fun and to see what else is out there. I wouldn’t mind getting a new experience under my belt it’s been a long time.

There is a chance that I will be testing free agency next off-season

even with the best teams things change over time. i only really went to FA one time, and it was an aging thing. if you have a player for a long time and you play on a competitive team you'll often find they eventually lose the ability to keep you. hard to stay competitive with declining 1200 tpe players eating cap space that could go to rookies, ya know? so then you just gotta enjoy the process of trying to find another good fit

Well I think the rat is out of the bag that I intend to play the free agency game. Not sure EXACTLY how I want to do it, but I imagine a public open bidding and going to whoever is willing to pay the most. may not be much up front, but over the course of the career should definitely help cover some training costs.

It’s my first go around with a player here, what it would take for me to walk to free agency is the team not leave an impression on me, regardless of performance.

Generally I'd need to have a pretty big falling out with my team to actually go to free agency. I am more of the kind of guy to suggest I should be traded if I feel like my team isn't going anywhere.

I've gone the free agency route in the past and shortly after the team i left from would be relocated. There may have been some writing on the wall that there wasn't much of a future there for me as there wasn't much of a future left with the organization.

Honestly if I got bored of the locker room or if it was filled with people I didn’t get along with I’d leave in free agency. I’ve always been a one team per career guy. Maybe that will change one day. I dunno.

❤!! RIP to the big homies 701 and Mac !!❤

i will never seek anything in free agency unless a team that drafts me does something incredibly grievous against me, like bring in somebody who has been incredibly horrible to me. I tried free agency in one league once because my old team was getting contracted and it was horrible. I hate telling people no. but anyway, all I am looking for in a team is a place where I can feel valued and welcome and safe.

Free agency? What is that? I am all Seattle all the time. I guess I don't have much of a choice though, since I am the GM of the team. Even if I wasn't though, I am an Argo for life!

I don’t think I would ever leave Philly. The Philly org has been nothing but world class, from contract negotiations to everything else in between. Not sure how free agency could get exciting but it most likely wouldn’t involve Tony.

I am a pretty loyal guy and either a team spend a pick on me or traded for me and I like to repay them for wanting me on their team by simply staying.

Considering I've said to three different teams now that I'm happy for Simo to be with them for the long haul, I'm beginning to wonder if free agency might not be the right idea after all...

With Simo, it would probably take Seattle failing a rebuild and wanting to start again for him to duck and run, and even then he'd probably be traded first.

I am not sure what it would take Bean to leave Buffalo - Bean Sr had only played for Buffalo so making Bean Jr leave BUF would probably take a lot of moolah or beans.

Shout out Ragnarr for these two amazing sigs

i honestly care about vibes, nothing else really matters. Some teams in FA just arent it chief and those teams will always struggle to attract and keep talent.

“I thought I was a goalie, but STA told me forget being a goalie they make nothing, and no one cares about them.  Guess what I was a center all along and I had no idea. Now I am the toast of the town, and I am getting offers from all the GMs and Scouts.”
