“The Wheel of Time turns, and Ages come and pass, leaving memories that become legend. Legend fades to myth, and even myth is long forgotten when the Age that gave it birth comes again. ... There are neither beginnings nor endings to the Wheel of Time. But it was a beginning.”

CW Trivia:

OPTION 2:

It is clear Los Angeles is the more offensively gifted team, and they came through the more difficult Western Division. To come out on top of the West you need a top tier offense. Tampa is no slouch in this department with a talented first and a capable second line. But it just doesn't compare to the depth LA brings to the table.

OPTION 3:

This entire championship will be decided from the crease out. Defense being a key role here. We all know it takes a team effort to win, we also know the old saying "defense wins championships." I firmly believe Tampa has the better defense going into the finals, I also believe they have the better goalie in the finals. What I don't know, can their forwards play a better all around game and support their defense than the Panthers? I don't think they can. This is where the Panthers could win the championship. I think they are a better complete team with 5 guys on the ice at any given time that can play a more defensive game making it more difficult for Tampa. Not only that they are more offensively gifted than Tampa. Better team offense and better team defense means, despite a talented defensive core Los Angeles will likely win the championship. I was saying boourns.

option 4

This is a close, super close goalie battle. I don't think either netminder has a true edge in this one, per talent wise. Both are elite goalies in the league, two of the best without a doubt. But, if I had to give an edge, and it kills me to do so, I would give it to Grzegorz Brzęczyszczykiewicz. He has the experience of winning it all before and been to the dance a couple of times. In a addition he has the stronger lineup top to bottom to support him in his quest for the cup. The proof is in the pudding as LA has already played two championship series this playoffs, one against the Pride, one against Texas and come out on top of both thanks to a fantastic netminder. Tampa had one hard series they danced through and have not been tested yet. Grzegorz Brzęczyszczykiewicz is battle tested and ready.

6. How was the season for you player? What you expect from next one?

This was the third season in the SMJHL for AT-AT Wøllker which meant his season finally hitting the 425 TPE Cap in the Juniors. Essentially it was his chance to show how good he could be but also pretty much knowing he wouldn't get any better. When I created AT-AT, the idea was to create a primarily defensive player with a tough, nasty side. So with that in mind, I would say he performed exactly as expected. Great Falls Grizzlies are primarily known as a defense-first team, they don't score a lot of goals but they also give up the fewest in the league. AT-At was a solid contributor to that, in fact he was 3rd in the league in blocked shots, had the best Goals Against/60 in the league, and one of the best Shots Against/60. With stats like that he could maybe be a candidate for Best Defensive Defender! But also he got in 4 fights and was top 3 in penalty minutes, so that aggressive side really came out this season which was great! Obviously the downside is he didn't get very many points at all, which I had hoped for a few more after putting some TPE into the offensive side of his game but it did not have any improvement in the results. Next season it is looking very likely that AT-AT will make the jump to the SHL and play his rookie season with Seattle. I will have to temper expectations knowing that he will be playing against much stringer opposition, but hopefully with focusing on maintaining his high defensive play that he can prove to be an asset for the team as they continue to rebuild.

7. This time for J: Who you got? Who wins the Four Star Cup? Why?

The Kelowna Knights have done great and it is awesome to show how a team in the SMJHL can really turn things around in just a few seasons with solid drafting and roster building. Not long ago they were mired in the doldrums finishing last in the league, now they are in the Finals! Unfortunately for them however, I do think that this is Maine's season. They're just so good from top to bottom and are the obvious favorites to win. They have already beaten teams from their conference which I would say are stronger than Kelowna, so I don't think that they have any confidence issues! My prediction - Maine in 5 games.

4. It's been said a number of times that goals against is a team stat. I'm inclined to believe that. A goalie can only stop the shots they face and they can only stop so many of those shots. Save percentage, while flawed, especially for small sample sizes, is a much better indicator. That's why I have to give Brzeczyszczykiewicz a big edge here. A difference of 0.08 is a big deal, in the aggregate. If he faces 25 shots per game and the series goes to six games, that's 12 additional goals saved - essentially enough goals to win the series. 101 words
