8.Written, 50 to 200+ words. The Path
Los Angeles comes to finals after two seven game seriesses while Tampa Bay has only lost one game after the first round and they have 3 less games during the playoffs. Do you think Tampa Bay gets meaningful advantage from seemingly easier path to the finals as they come in more rested? Or is there no stopping the train of the Los Angeles after they fought their way through teams that finished second and third during regular season? How do you think the path to the finals will impact the series and does it change who you favor?

Tampa Bay may have the advantage of being more rested heading into the finals due to their easier path compared to Los Angeles. However, the resilience and momentum gained by Los Angeles after battling through tough seven-game series against top-tier teams cannot be underestimated. The path to the finals can impact the series by affecting player fatigue, mental toughness, and team dynamics. It may come down to whether rest or momentum plays a bigger factor in determining the outcome. In this situation, the series could be heavily influenced by the psychological aspect, with Los Angeles' confidence and experience potentially giving them an edge. Ultimately, while Tampa Bay's rest could be an advantage, the determination and hard-fought victories of Los Angeles could make them a formidable opponent. The path to the finals does impact the series, but it does not necessarily change who is favored to win, as both teams bring their own strengths and challenges to the table.

10.Written, 50 to 200+ words. Took Me By Surprise
Pick a one SHL or SMJHL team, that isn’t your own, that did not play as you would have expected at the beginning of the season. Did they do better or worse than you expected? Why you think your expectations were off, can you find an explanation for their performance? Does this change how you view them going into next season

I think it was Minnesota Monarchs, I thought coming into the season that they would work on what they did last year and go to the second round again and Some key players last rides I thought they would at least get past the first round or even better get past the second round and have a winning season, but they had a losing record and they got eliminated by new Orleans in the second round. Also they are losing some key players for next year so I think they might be a little worse than this season for season 79.

2. Derek Martin is player with most points that plays in finals. Los Angeles has 3 other players that are also above or tied in points with Tampa’s Max Carnage. Does Los Angeles have advantage on scoring or does it just seem like it as they have also played 3 more games?

The Los Angeles Panthers, like other teams in the Western Conference, are having their numbers inflated by the lack of quality teams. When you take that into consideration as well as the extra games played, it is absolutely no surprise that they have the advantage in points. If they had to play through the Eastern Conference, it would be a totally different story.

6. How was the season for you player? What you expect from next one?

Season 78 went pretty much as expected for San-sam Emerson. Every season, the regression bug gets harder and harder to fight. I know I will not be putting up any more point per game seasons. The goal for my twilight years is putting up around 30-35 points every season while continuing to be strong in the defensive end of the ice. Offensively, I fell a bit short of my goal with only 26 points. While not too far off the mark, I was hoping to get to 0.5 points per game after a bit of a hot streak near the end of the season. Defensively, I had another strong season. I led the Philadelphia Forge in takeaways and had enough blocks to come in third on the team. I may not be at the top of the list in terms of points anymore, but I can still shut it down when the time comes.
When it comes to next season, it is hard to say. I expect for my numbers to fall across the board because of regression sending me even farther back. I will probably be around the same TPE I was in the first few seasons when I joined the SHL. Going by my history, that should get me to around 27 points, 45 takeaways, and 49 blocks. Hopefully, I surpass these numbers, especially the points, because I have my eyes set on climbing the all time points for a defender to at least the top 5 before I retire.

6. How was the season for you player? What you expect from next one?

Inge Baardsen had a solid, if unspectacular, first season in the majors. The step up from dominating in the J to trying to translate that to the big league is often difficult, but Baardsen benefited from not only having some incredible coaching from the Platoon leadership, but a supportive group of players to help him up his game to the level required. Making the Conference Championship in your rookie season can only be considered a good season. His scoring numbers were decent, only 9 goals but
34 assists for a total of 43 points in 66 games is almost 0.66 points per game. The speed of the game at the SHL level somewhat negated one of his dominant stats in the J, where he put up over 200 hits in each of his last 2 seasons, managing 90 across the 66 games. It’s a great base level for Baardsen to work from and improve for next season.

4. Before finals both goalies have pretty similar Goals Against Average, Soonika leading 2.51 to 2.55, but Brzeczyszczykiewicz has edge on save percentage 0.927 to 0.919. Which of the teams do you think has edge on net?

For me, the edge goes of course to mr. Brzeczyszczykiewicz. He has a cooler goalie name and it gives him just a slight edge in my opinion. I also really like his butterfly technique. It is a candy for my eyes and also many others goalie experts and goalie coaches. So yeah, that Polish kid seems legit for me if we use the language of youths.

12. Written, 50 to 200+ words. Is It Always The Same?
IIHF is short tournaments with only 12 round robin games for each team, which leads to huge swings from season to season when it comes to standings. Same is true for the WJC as well. With that in mind what do you think will be different from last season? Do you expect things to change for your team or player? And what you expect to stay the same?

Team Finland is always a medal contender. Last season it failed to win a gold medal. It was a disappointment. This time they can go all the way and not lose in the playoffs. There are some youths coming up and ready to take bigger role. So, I would like to guarantee that it will be a better hockey team this year but in sports in general everything can happen and puck luck has a huge role too so I can not do that. I can just promise that it will give themselves a chance to win and hockey gods will then decide afterwards if it really wins or not a medal. Carpet in the net gives it a chance to beat other powerhouses every year. It is up to skaters and coaches to perform well too. When it comes to other teams, I expect big powerhouses like Canada, USA and Sweden dominate the event too year after year. The hockey culture is so deep in those countries so they should contend for medals every season. Simply no excuses. Teams like Ireland, Japan and UK should not celebrate at all in the international stage. Maybe Switzerland always improves from last seasons. So, those are my excellent predictions and preview for the upcoming tournament.
