S79 mPT #1: Lets Try This Again Due: Sunday, October 20th @ 11:59 PM PST

Anchorage makes it to the Four Star Cup finals
For

With how deep and experienced their team is it would make sense that Anchorage finds their way competing for a Four Star, however we will have to see if their first round blues can be overcome and the Armada can curate a solid run for the ship. Also I'm on the Armada and I really want this to happen.

New Orleans makes it to the Challenge Cup finals

Against this because New Orleans shares a conference with two power houses in Texas and Los Angeles and I think it's likelier either of them 2 make it to the cup finals over New Orleans.

For New Orleans makes it to the Challenge Cup finals

I am for this because I believe that everyone deserves a shot at winning and I believe that New Orleans can pull it off. I think that they will be a good team and that their opportunity will come towards them at some point. In summary, I believe they have a chance to make it.

TBFAW

Against Philadelphia finishes 3rd or worse in the division. We have added some fresh talent and still have some of our wiley vets so I think we will finish in at least second place in our division this season. PT team praying on our downfall smh my head

FOR: Montreal wins the cup.

I think Montreal can win the cup because well.... Anything is possible. I can see Montreal going on a cinderella run, knocking out the top teams as all their players greatly over-achieve when the postseason begins. like the 2021 Canadiens.

I so badly want to be for Montreal winning the cup and New Orleans making it to the cup final. Please, give me all the chaos.

Unfortunately...

Against: Montreal wins the cup. New Orleans makes it to the Challenge Cup finals.

The reality is that both of these are unlikely. Montreal is not ready. They're too young. Give them a few seasons, then we'll see. New Orleans making the finals isn't that crazy with the roster they have. The problem is they will likely have to beat Texas and either San Francisco or Los Angeles to get there.

Toronto finishes regular season as best team in the East.

No. That will be the Tampa Bay Barracuda. We're just gonna crush this shit, nbd, don't worry about it, Toronto won't be a challenge. Ez pz. So there you go, easily against that, go Tampa.

For first time since S71, Hodor wont have most blocked shots

The season starts and Hodor finishes game 1 with 10 blocks. A reporter walks by the locker room and sees his body is a deep purple and the ice bath is calling to him. He doesn't block a shot for the rest of the season. The reporter thinks about running the story but silently decides to appreciate the warrior and his sacrifices.

For: Los Angeles and San Francisco will meet in first round of playoffs, after finishing regular season as 1st and 4th or 2nd and 3rd in their division.

If there is a god or gods, they have written it in the stars that San Francisco and Los Angeles are destined to face each other in the playoffs from now until the end of time itself.

I'm for New Orleans making it to the cup final! I think they've done a good job of putting a young squad together and it's always fun to see new teams cycling into those "top of the league" spots for a few seasons. I remember them winning the cup I think back when I first joined the league and they haven't really been on top since then, so I'd say they're due!

AGAINST: Philadelphia finishes 3rd or worse in the division.

There is no way the Philadelphia Forge finish third or worse in their division. It's going to be 1st or 2nd, but I'm not biased or anything. Forge are gonna have a great regular season and then win the cup!

New Orleans makes it to the Challenge Cup finals

I would say they wont as the West has a lot of talented teams, so I believe they will not make it to the Challenge Cup final. I mean i guess the hope is the other teams battle each other out and ware each other down which may lead to NO making it.

Against. There are a lot of teams in the SHL, and only one from each conference can make the Challenge Cup final. It won't be New Orleans. When Icee Richradson was there for a short amount of time, they were mediocre, taking in 1st round exits.

Code:
Los Angeles and San Francisco will meet in first round of playoffs, after finishing regular season as 1st and 4th or 2nd and 3rd in their division.

Against. Looking at both team’s roster and performance in the last few seasons, Los Angeles and San Francisco are still fairly ahead of the other teams in their division and they will finish first and second.

Max Carnage will win second Mexico in row

Against - Nothing personal against Max or any doubt on his abilities, but I think it's exceptionally difficult to maintain that level of performance for two consecutive seasons. I can see him having another really good run, but I just don't see anyone repeating as the league's very best player for some time yet. Max, if you're reading this feel free to go out there and prove me wrong!
