One of the reasons this season was particularly arduous and long in checking these has to do with everything else going on at the same time that took priority, given some if not most of them were time sensitive issues, which this one was not. We also introduced a new check on FA movements from team pages to the FA pool, which we did not have a process for to make it as efficient as possible. I understand this is later than it should, frankly later than we'd like it to be, but we're looking at improving the process for next season, absolutely. IDK about the timeframe, but surely much much sooner.

24 hours might be a tall ask, but a specific deadline might be worth discussing. We're in the process of talking about a lot of GM task changes currently so we could probably set a deadline for ourselves as well. This season was the first season we instituted the "move your FAs or get bonked" thing so that was a little more time-consuming than stuff has been in the past, but we're trying to get ahead of that for next year as well.

also yes. we are discussing the lines thread thing. I just want everyone to know, we know you think it's stupid (some of us think it's stupid too), and we're discussing it.

It take 2 secondes to create as needed? Requesting one to start the season that say 'hey im using the file' is not *that* useful anyway since simmers also have other ways to check who posted or not. Some teams never even use their thread at all in a season... At worst a permanant one like ramen suggested can ve useful.

Id rather HO punished people for taking longer than two minutes to make a pick during the shl draft.

thats understandable there is always something going on and I get that, But there are how many of you in HO and I am sure the tasks can be divided up to conquer issues like this? I dont think its unreasonable to have a time frame for yourselves to get tasks done either.

Easy solution. Go fantasy style, once two minutes is up people after you can start making selections.

like I said in my reply to Frenchie you have a lot of people in HO and you can all divide and conquer getting these done in a timely matter. I also know most have these tasks done before the deadline and they can be checked and crossed off as you go ahead of time. I personally feel 24 hours would be enough but in the end I would be happy to hear it is a listed task and has a deadline so things like this season dont happen again. look forward to the changes coming.

Not gonna lie, I don't think the SHL could pull that pace off, the J bumps up against the 4 minute limit often enough and the teams there scout more of the field than SHL GMs do.

Oh i'm not in disagreement here, its absolutely something we're considering and something we're gonna do better at.

That's their fault for not scouting. I don't think Philadelphia has ever taken more than two minutes to make a pick in our existence. People will adapt if the rules are changed.
