I expected someone to replace the ice in all of the SHL arenas with cheese, and I was very shocked that it didn't happen one time during the entire season. Can you believe that?

I really thought our team would be pretty good this season but sadly that wasn’t the case but next season is definitely gonna be good for us

I didn't expect Hodor to finally relinquish his status as top shot blocker, but father time is undefeated. He was still top 5, which is crazy good, but just weird to not see his name at the top.

well one thing I didnt except to happen is getting like 35 points, I was only excepting like 20 points, 25 if lucky, I'm shooting for 50 PTS next szn

I expected Prince Marius to have more of a successful campaign, but he kind of pooped the bed because of limited ice time. You’re supposed to get more points than he actually did

I expected to have talks already for a contract extension with Buffalo, would love to stick around longer with my expiring contract, so lets see how it goes.

It's was the typical up and down season for NOLA but I expected to make it out of the first round of the playoffs. Of course, that didn't happen.

I didn't expect my team, the Carolina Kraken, to be this good during the regular season. Happy to see it though, looking forward to a great playoffs.

I didn't expect to lead all smjhl defensmen in hits this season. It's surprising because I redistributed to more of an offensive build in the offseason, and also because I've never come close to leading the league in anything.

One thing I did NOT expect was for Trevor Lopez's season to be so.........meh. He set a career high of goals, points and hits, but a -45 +/-? I mean, I know it was a down year for WINcouver, but......yeesh. That's inexcusable on my end.

I expected that the Manhattan Rage would not suck so much ass. Although we made the playoffs, I expected that we might have a little better record this year since this is like year 6 of being terrible.

I expected to lead in Fight Wins and PIMs and have successfully accomplished that. I didn't expect to actually play real hockey. that is disappointing. Hip Hurts carried me

I thought Montreal would make the playoffs with a lot of their prospects coming up, but it seems they are still a season away from it.

I expected to score more goals during the regular season. Or even really be more involved on offense in general. I think I did okay, but was hoping to be slightly better. In any case, the team is taking great strides forward and that's fun to be a part of, even if my individual contributions weren't quite what I'd hoped. There's always next season...

I fully expected my junior club, the Vancouver Whalers, to break records for the worst season in league history. Unfortunately, we won a bunch of games late and that pushed us out of that conversation
