I did not expect to make the playoffs this year with winnipeg. Although we got swept in the first round, I was expecting us to be more or less a lottery pick team so just making it was good enough

I didn't expect toronto to be so ass. When I was doing preds earlier I thought that they were going to be a pretty good team. They have a high low tpe, lots of folks are over 1k, and I believe 1400 is really where you hit the solid player, above that it's just 1 or 2 more points in an attribute,

I didn’t expect to not have a point in two straight sims. But I also didn’t expect getting so many points! How nice of a surprise to get this season

I wasn't expecting San Francisco to be as good as they were. They had nearly double the next team's goal differential, and finished top of the league in a really tough conference. The Pride's depth was such that two of the top three scorers in the league this season played for them.

I didn’t expect the Toronto North Stars to be hit with such a steep cap penalty for next season after starting the year so hot!

I really, REALLY, REALLY did not expect my player to get as many points as he did nor have a decent plus/minus after the rookie season I had. Thankfully it seems that I am having one hell of a breakout season.

I did not expect my player to have the second best faceoff percentage in the league, while it has improved every year while in the SMJHL, I did not think a 14 faceoff rating would correlate to a 60.6% faceoff percentage.

After a finals birth I had high hopes for Tampa Bay, but they regressed a bit this season from 97 points to 81 points. Still made playoffs, but I'm guessing they were hoping to build off of last seasons solid performance. Calgary on the other hand exceeded my expectations and performed very well this season going from 78 to 86 points in a very difficult Pacific division.

At the beginning of the season, I never would have expected to win the McDonald and the Karpotsov trophies for Goals and Points leader. At the middle of the season, when I had a roughly 15 point lead over second place, I wouldn't have guessed that my production would have stalled out and it would come down to the very last game of the season for me to lock in both of those trophies.

I was kind of expecting HO to make a rule change with the shootout. See I had heard rumblings that they were gonna ditch the shootout and replace it by making all games that go past overtime end in an oiled up twerk-off to determine who would win. Disappointed that this change didn't go through I really feel like it had potential

I expected Hodor to lead the league in shot blocks, which did not happen. I think I got so used to it, that it was shocking to finally see him let someone else take that title!

I did not expect the wee baby Blizzards out of Edmonton to come out swinging the way they did, and I extra did not expect them to keep it up all season. Anyone who says they did is a liar.

I guess I didn't expect to have that much chemistry with my new defense partner. To both have so many points during the season was impressive, especially after just 1 season.

I was expecting to have a better season individually. Coming off over 100 points the previous season and off to a great start this season, Piastri's play dipped during the second half of the season.

Abbe Wass was expecting to score once every 5th games or so, but it did not happend. it was more like every 16th game. wich is not totally useless. but not what he was expecting.
