S80 mPT #0: What Is 80 Anyway? Due: Sunday, December 15th @ 11:59 PM PST
#76

I think that any year ends in a 0 is very important as it symbolizes a in game decade of the league being in a thing. Which is very significant in my eyes. It should be celebrated.

Listen it's season 80 no one cares when you this close to the big one hundred. This is just another season to think of how to celebrate the big one.

Honestly, I haven’t been in the league long enough to appreciate the significance of seasons like these - that said, s100 seems an awfully long way away - I mean *wow,* that’s a long long time from now…

"That way - no, no, a little to the left!"

"Oh, shit, not like that wait no -!!"

crash!!!

"Oh god Cake is gonna hit me again" :'0

Nah, I think 75 is more important. What's next? Celebrating the 85th season? Give me a break! 25, 50, 75, & 100 should be the celebrated milestone years!

If there was a large celebration for the 75th season of the simulations, I don't think it's exactly necessary to celebrate the 80th. A precedent of celebrating every 5 seasons could get repetitive and annoying, but that is a decent stretch of time between each celebration. Saving another big celebration for the 100th would feel quite special though! Now that's an impressive milestone!

I feel like the big milestones are the 25 year ones, as in 25, 50, 70, etc. No shade to 80, 80 is big and its important but I don't feel like it has the same importance or wholeness that the quarter mark often does.

I think that every anniversary this league has is worth celebrating! That said the usual cadence should be 25, 50, 75, 100 and so on. It's just the norm imo. Still, happy birthday SHL!

80 is just as important as 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 (fill in the blanks for the rest yourself, this is supposed to list all numbers but i am not bored enough to do that) . Every season is important on its own merit.

I think there's should be an event night, maybe with a pride night type focus to truly show the strides of progress the league has made since its inception.

The longevity of this community is something that should be celebrated with each new season. Despite its blemishes, the hard work of so many people to keep this fun and functional can truly not go understated.

having season 80 is a testament to the hard work that people are putting in behind the scenes in order to help keep this site operational and growing. It is not enough of a milestone to be celebrated though in my opinion.

Any time you hit a milestone in the 10's; 10, 20, 30 etc... it is a big deal, mostly cause our monkey minds love the even nature of the numbers. What we like even more is the addition of another number! When we hit Season 100 it will be a big celebration that 80 or 90 can't match! Don't get me started on 1000! See you there.

I think every 10 years is a milestone, but also 75 is a milestone, and I don’t see why both shouldn’t be celebrated. But 100 is absolutely bigger than both.

With it being so soon since the 75 celebration I don't feel like anything is needed for 80. We keep our eyes on 100 and await hitting the great three digits

Never pass up an occasion to celebrate. I joined with my first player in S52 so the league was already well established, but now we've gone almost 30 more seasons and I'm on my second player now. The longevity of this league should be celebrated.
