The 80th season is just another stepping stone on my way to retirement is how I see. Oh how I long to be retired on a beach and enjoying my millions. That's when I will celebrate.

I don't particularly think 80 seasons is worth celebrating on one hand, but on the other, I absolutely recognize that every season can be it's own celebration or milestone.
100 will be something different and special, but in the end what's the difference between one season and another. MWHazard Wrote:i'll playwith anyone Justice,Sep 18 2016, 02:09 PM Wrote:4-0 and 0-4 aren't that different tbh McJesus - Today at 10:38 PM Wrote:FIRE EGGY

Celebrating every 5 years is probably not necessary. It always seems the big milestones are quarterly so it makes more sense to celebrate a 75 year and not an 80th year. Wait until season 100 and give out all the TPE imaginable.

Eighty is less worthy of recognition than seventy-five, but it is still another achievement to observe and be proud of. I don't think the league needs to pull out all the stops, but it could certainly be worked into various graphics throughout the season.

I really don't have a clue, I'm still relatively a new user joining the SHL a little over a year ago and I have already lost track of the seasons

I think that season 80 is a big deal, but 100 will be a huge milestone. I plan to create a player for that draft class, whenever that may be!

I feel that although there was already a S75 celebration (no clue what happened) it is still important to celebrate every step. Something you could do is release a "Top 80 players of the S70s list"

I think at a certain point you stop valuing multiples of 10, and we're at that point. Next milestone is 100, then 150. We're going by multiples of 50 at this point

I think 80 is an often forgotten milestone. The every 10 milestones in any league, relationship, career, or similar often come with mild celebration. This is because while it is something to be proud of, it comes around as the fastest of milestone criteria, the others being 25s, 50s, and 100s, and generally the longer you go between milestones the bigger the celebration is. Because of this, the milestones at 30 and 80 tend to end up feeling excessive or forgotten as a 25 milestone was recently hit and generally comes with a large celebration.

Honestly as a supporter of switching to a dozenal system I would be more in favor of celebrating 108 and 144 rather than 75 and 100, but I will say I would not mind celebrating every dozen seasons we make it through given that is years of effort which deserves recognition.

I think every season is important. It's truly a testament to all users that the league has been able to keep it up for so long. But season 100 will be a huge one
