8. What is the reason for San Francisco’s success? One word: Me. I requested a trade specifically in S64 (And HFFO went the other way so I’m also responsible for the EDM cup), and was named co-GM by Toast for one season. In that one season not only did we make the conference final before being swept by Texas, but I was personally responsible for drafting a 3rd round user named Caleb Hayden. We would then proceed to lock Caleb in FHM jail until he was ready to be co-GM, and from there SFP started the reign of terror you seen before you. Toast and Caleb would proceed to draft many of the franchise cornerstones such as Lore, Kluster, Spidey, and Alaksa (Who was also my suggestion). With Caleb’s FHM knowledge and a strong roster, it was only inevitable that SFP would become a dynasty. But it all started with a young Bfine wanting to play for Toast. +3 12. The most likely to make a medal game in the IIHF this season is Canada. Canada is consistently a top team due to having the most new creates and thus typically the highest TPE team. Most other nations cant afford to leave multiple 1000+ TPE players out but that’s typically the norm for Canada. If they can keep their tactics running strong I would not be surprised to see them win 3 in a row. The least likely to make the medal round in my opinion is Switzerland. With Czechia and Latvia finding their peaks, and Switzerland being a mix of older players and younger players with very few prime aged stars, they seem most likely to falter. +2

8. San Francisco has a great roster that was built through both drafts and trades. Acquiring a lot of great users and players over time and attracting other users to them in both free agency and trades. On the outside looking in, I have only heard positivity about their locker room which is one of the biggest parts in establishing a team in my opinion. A great locker room allows players to stay happy and invested in the league which has had a great effect in San Francisco's ability to keep their users active and engaged as most of the roster reaches close to 2000 tpe. BadWolf was the co-gm of Yukon while I was in the SMJHL and she was a big part of the team and organization, making it great to be around. I have no doubt that her stepping into the GM role with the Pride in the past couple seasons has had a big effect on the positivity in San Francisco I have heard a lot about. A great locker room, with great users is something every SHL team should be focused on building and San Francisco is one of the best examples you can have of how any team should be building their roster and their success is a direct result of that. (217 words) 4 TPE 13. Latvia has recently taken some big steps forward in the past couple IIHF tournaments, surprising everyone with a silver medal last season for the first medal in a long time. Ratvia in the World Junior Championships has been a lot better as well, picking up a medal in 4 of the last 6 tournaments. Latvia has a lot of high quality young players coming up that will be looking to make their impact at the IIHF level. A couple young defensive players that will undoubtedly take on some big roles in the future like Deth Klaw, Max Belcher and Roquefort Cotswald will be making their Latvia debut in the next few tournaments and some high skilled young forwards like Robo Sven and Jim Wieners will be coming up with them around the same time. Latvia is fortunate enough to have a strong prospect pool and looks to be stronger than they have ever been before. (155 words) 3 TPE 10/8 TPE ]

yessir 12. IIHF Back To Back - 191 words 6/8 tpe The IIHF match is so short that every factor is crucial for playoff seeding. On pinnacle of that, the playoffs are a first-class-of-one format, making upsets far much more likely than in conventional league playoffs. Despite this volatility, Canada controlled to win the closing tournaments, showing their resilience and ability to carry out under stress. Last season, the opposite pinnacle 4 groups had been Latvia, Switzerland, and Czechia. This season, Switzerland seems the most likely to make it to the medal video games again. Their roster frequently features gamers with strong performances in European leagues, in particular the SHL, in which their disciplined approaches and -way play lead them to a difficult matchup in short tournaments. Their consistency and adaptableness ought to serve them well again this year. However, Latvia can be the most susceptible to lacking the medal games. While their pinnacle-four end remaining season was first-rate, a lot of their achievement hinged on elite goaltending and a shocking run of momentum. In this kind of short event, replicating that equal degree of fulfillment in opposition to groups with deeper rosters and more playoff revel in could be a enormous project. 14. The Procrastinator Special! - 103 words 8/8 tpe San Francisco Pride has done it, they’re the champions of Season 80’s Challenge Cup! Their teamwork and ability to adapt were unmatched, with clutch plays from their star players leading the way. The other team gave it their all, but missed chances and some defensive gaps made the difference. If they’d tightened up their defense and connected better in the midfield, things might have gone differently. The best momentd of the series? Definitely Game 4’s overtime, when the Pride’s goalkeeper made a jaw-dropping save that had everyone on the edge of their seats. Congrats to the Pride on an incredible and well-earned victory!

The Unexpected Yes, I think regular season success does matter. At least to a point: in the end, we partake in this hobby because we like seeing how well our players do, and a large amount of time is spent simming the regular season. So to devalue that would be silly. However, the point is to win games, and the greatest point of all is to win the Challenge Cup. It’s possible to value both regular season and playoffs, which I think is actually something the league does well. There are awards for regular season performance and playoff performance. Stats are kept for both periods of a season, and even users with players on non-playoff teams can gain some gratification from seeing their players improve over time or cement their legacy in regression. (131 words, +2 TPE) Quote:14. Written, 50 to 200+ words.- The Procrastinator Special! The San Francisco Pride won the Challenge Cup, again. The other team, the Tampa Bay Barracuda, could have taken a 3-1 stranglehold in game 4. That game was a low-scoring affair, with just three goals in total, two of them being scored in regulation time. The Barracuda tied it up 1-1 in the third period and were one shot away for five minutes of OT before the Pride’s Robin Nyckel put one past Tibuk Soonika, Tampa’s 6’9” goaltender. My favourite part of the series was the fact that both teams deserved to be there. I speak from experience when I say the Tampa Bay Barracuda fought tooth and nail to get by Atlanta in the conference finals, and San Francisco’s bona fides are obvious. As fun as it is to have Cinderella runs, it’s OK for there to be seasons where the best performing teams face off. I think the two teams that made the finals had a chance to win the Cup, but only one could in the end and I’m not surprised that it’s San Francisco. (178 words, +3 TPE)

It looks like the san Francisco pride have won the cup. I don't know that tampa could have done more than they did sometimes the other team is just a powerhouse and it sucks. I think it was crazy that tampa took them to 6 that was definitely the highlight, and tampa even was up 2-1 at one point which definitely inspired some hope that they could maybe take down the champs. Even though both the shl and smjhl had back to back cup winners the actual playoff series themselves were really close and fun to watch. Congrats to both for a great playoff run. Code: 15. 5. The SHL needs to stop playing around and just host the playoffs on the moon. Just one time will turn the moon into an SHL frenzy, with the expansion bringing an intergalatic appeal that would be impossible to ignore. Just image that untapped potential. I know the cost of getting gravity and ice, and an arena... I mean it will cost a lot. But Luke has a billion dollars, that is "send shit to space" terrority. If not the moon, the the next best thing would be Ohio. They deserve a team, they should have a team, and the fact that they don't is a gripe I will not drop! Ohio is full of hockey loving fans and they should have better to watch than the NHL and those sad Columbus Blue Jackets. They deserve some great SHL or at least Jr league hockey! Bring the PUCK back to Ohio for the love of god! (150+) 12: the IIHF is a very interesting place, as a lot of teams have been growing stronger and stronger. With that being said, I think this year the top 4 could be just about anybody! I think Latvia has a very solid squad who is getting just at the prime for the right group of players, whereas Canada always has a great core and compliments them nicely with some new blood. Switzerland might be a little past their prime, but still not to be overlooked by any means, and Czechia is getting to a peak. Last year Czechia ended the round robin in first place, which we have NEVER done before in the history that I could find. With that being said, my only hope is that Czechia can win when it matters at the end. Hopefully we have grown enough TPE and can get the right lines out to really be successful and hopefully have a great tournament. If I had to answer who would be out, I think Switzerland, but honestly every team looks really good, so it is really hard to tell. (150+) Colorado Raptors Capitan S42-Until Forever! 1. Trivia - 3 TPE
Katth 5. 4 TPE I think it would be fun to have the finals in another country to give the league more exposure and to give fans from around the world the opportunity to visit one of the games more easily as well. I am thinking of a country in Europe would suit best for now as hockey is kind of big there as well and there are some pretty good nations that compete on an international level as well such as Sweden, Finland, Russia, Chech Rep. and Germany. Than there is still countries like Switzerland, Austria, Norway, Slovakia, Italy that also have some pretty decent teams. I think we would have to check where the market is the biggest and I think the German competition is one of the bigger ones in Europe. So having the finals in Germany would make sense. Could have games in Berlin, Mannheim and Munich for example. But perhaps it is also possible to have games in Germany, Austria and Czech Rep. and have the finals in three seperate countries. That might be an even better idea. The travel distance is shorter than going from Tampa to San Fran anyway. I am all for it, lets make it happen. 6. 1 TPE Obviously my player would root for Tampa Bay as I am a player for that team lol. This is our second final in 3 seasons and I hope we can make it happen this time. So far I have not won a cup with this player and would love to do so.

6. Rence Sykut would be rooting for underdog Tampa Bay Barracuda to win in this series. As a Seattle Argonaut, he has developed a dislike for the San Francisco Pride as they have handed his team several unceremonious beat downs over the last few seasons as the Argos have been coming out of a rebuild and the Pride have risen to perennial contender over that time. You could call this petty or childish, but that is just the nature of competition. Rence also enjoys as much parity as possible in the league, so seeing a team go back to back does not help in that regard. (105 words) +2TPE 14. As another SHL season comes to a close, the San Francisco Pride find themselves once again at the mountain top with a thrilling six game Finals victory over the Tampa Bay Barracuda. The Pride's depth of talent up and down their lineup was just too much the Barracuda to overcome led by Logan Webb's absolutely astounding 21 goals and 34 points in the playoff season. Tampa Bay had several excellent performers of their own, but Johnny Wagner-Svenson found it difficult to maintain his 111 point form from the regular season in the postseason when his team needed it the most. Ultimately, it came down to an arms race that the Barracuda were going to find difficult to overcome against the cream of the crop of the SHL. Nonetheless, Tampa Bay has nothing to hang their heads about with an excellent playoff run and having given San Francisco a hard fought finals series. (152 words) +3TPE
