If you move teams you should be able to get an SHL signing bonus outside of either teams salary cap. People like money and would move more - Oh yay also card pack on every trade that includes your player. Gotta collect them all - SHL

Remember your players success is number 1. your GM is not your friend. Ask for trades frequently and win lots of cups. Burn bridges to do so.

Not really, seeing as chemistry is a big thing in the engine, adding a player at the trade deadline with no chemistry with the rest of the players on the team could damage the cohesion/chance of winning. So not really much can be changed unless there are differences in the new engine.

I pay so little attention to the SHL Trades that I don't have anything to comment on this to be honest. I do apologize, I just put a lot of my focus on the SMJHL as a J GM.

Very hard to say what can be done. Could have more sign and trade incentives but it's not like sign and trade isn't a thing here. Hence, this is hard to artificially incentivize

Something could be done to make the deadline more interesting. One way could be to encourage teams to make trades. But the trade values are a bit bad at the moment. Are there so few new players coming in that there is enough value in a draft pick? Or if the team that missed the playoffs is in the rebuilding phase, are they ready to trade a potential core player to the playoff train. Would a loan lasting the rest of the season be possible for this, for example, where the loaned player returns to the original team after the season, but the loaning team actually has to pay for him? The situation becomes whether it is a risk worth taking when chasing a championship.

I don’t necessarily think the SHL trade deadline has to get crazy, maybe GM’s don’t want to mess up with chemistry in-season, and it's also tough when teams have budgets and can’t get around them the same way NHL teams do during the deadline.

I don’t think there should be anything to incentivize players getting traded. It can be a weird feeling when a team decides to move on from a player. Especially with how close a lot of people in the league are.

I think things at the deadline are fine as they are. In my opinion, Too much player movement can be really confusing and even frustrating.

I think more trades are a good thing for the SHL for a plethora of reasons but one of the main reasons being, it gets players talking and engaged with player movements.

I believe that one encouragement that will expand on the trade world is the expansion draft. If we’re saying there are 4 teams added, there are 4 more teams that could be committed to rebuilding

Only things that pop into my mind are to adjust budget caps for teams or to maybe allow teams to trade parts of their budget per season for picks and players and such, if that isn't already a thing.

I personally have no idea what happens here around trade deadline so my answer is to keep doing what we’re doing. As long as my player isn’t traded away (will only be happy if I’m traded away for 100 1st round picks)

I think not a lot can be done with the moving of players, I guess one thing that could be done is making the teams less social but that would just worsen the league in my opinion for the sake of making trades happen which would not be nice in my opinion.
