Thats not the problem. I have no problem with people expressing their opinions. But what gets me is, Everytime I say something it seems to wrong and everyone elses seem to be right and everyone will agree if its a negative comment towards mine. Its always been like that. Anyways no point in arguing over something dumb.

Because they signed him for 7 years! Name a player who has one good 30 goal season and played well at 35-37.

Except Jagr was MVP material in his heyday. Just because other teams would've done it doesn't make it a good move in the least.

But the argument of other people doing it too doesn't mean much of anything lol. It just means you got him for market value at a very long, very risky deal. Honestly I see no way he lives up to that price over the entire 7 year deal.
But hey as long as you like it that's all that really matters

I dont think he lives up to it as well in the later years specifically in year 5 - 7. But I look at it now here in the present and its a great move. If in Year 5 or later he starts to regress there a option to buy him out.

Yeah but buying him out you have to pay around 2.5m for a player who's not on your roster. On a competitive team that's not really a very plausible option is my point by that. I personally don't see a signing where a buyout's expected to be a good one. I would consider it a good signing at 3-4 years at the same salary. 7 is just ridiculous
